I've gambled all my life and tried to beat the bookie, 95% of the time I've lost or broke even but its the prospect of a good win that keeps me going. I'm not an idiot and don't enjoy losing but the buzz you get when you get a good win is brilliant and that's what keeps me going.
It sounds like you do accumulators, you'll never win long-term doing accumulators. You need to bet singles and focus on price. Only way to beat the bookie. I've beaten the bookie 95% of the time over 20 years. Had hundreds of accounts restricted and banned. I only bet singles and am price orientated.
I've worked hard and made fortunes only to lose it all to gambling .they all used to say what a great fearless gambler I was . what they should have said what a GREAT MUG I was
The sad fact is losing gamblers have an addiction problem and winners are apparently professionals. The reality is there are good and bad addictions, losers having a bad experience and winners a good one.At the end of the day we are all addicted to something, just make sure its a good addiction for you.

In my opinion and to a certain extent you have to be born into it . Have a thorough knowledge of fractions and decimals from an early age. To be able to look down a "board" and calculate the overound just for starters.
I worked in the bookies in the UK in the seventies/eighties. The punters who were in every afternoon placing their 1, 2, 5 pound bets were the bread and butter for the bookies. Sure, they may have won the odd few hundred quid now and again but over a year they would be at a loss. I only ever came across two guys who won on a regular basis. One was a horse punter and the other only bet on the football. He would bet a thousand pound on a 1-0 result either way, laying 2000 pound a bet. He may have only had a handful of bets a month but he seemed to always win. We always kept a track of big punters bets and once they had won 100k they would end up getting banned!
guys. the best bets on horses are match bets. you have just two horses in the race. which horse will get home first. only flat races where the horse wont fall.
hi mike the only bets i ever do for the last ten years or so have been match bets on horse racing i just love studying the racing and over time i have been in profit the odds are not much but i would rather back a match bet with odds at 5\6 or so than back the horse to win the race. hope you are still winning good luck !!!!!!!!
@@mikewatte4478 oh yes and how many have finished first and second in the race but i have still never done a forecast. on lockdown at the moment and paddy power have been doing american match bets tried a few but no luck. lets hope we get our horse racing back soon.
It might not show up, many horses have setbacks. Or they find one which has been racing in nothing races in Ireland and give it to a flavour of the month jockey.
You listen to old Harry and think he's telling you everything he knows about his gambling methods , but if you listen really carefully , he's giving nothing away for free .
In my experience you want to be against popular opinion, this is where the value lies. Wonder why he would say otherwise? Bookmakers are so called as they create a book which will in a perfect scenario allow them to win no matter who crosses the line first. Unless they are 'gambling bookies' who take on all comers in their conviction, unfortunately a dying breed. As stock market stalwart Charlie Monger would say you pay a high price for consensus. You need to gain the courage of well thought conviction and stand against the crowd when, and only when, you believe your logic is better. Best of luck punters
I would say in gambling it's the opposite, it's better to be with the consensus, but try and get in first. Example, Greyhound punting, prices aren't compiled, so if you work out true value, you can back a dog at 3/1 and it could end up going off at 7/4, especially in morning Greyhounds. That way, even
Yah he is 56 years old, looks about that to me.Also Harry is far from a big time loser, never worked in his life and has won 20 million pounds plus over his gambling life, that equates to a salary from age 18 of 526,000 pounds per year.Sounds like a winner to me.
First goalscorer, correct score and many other markets are for mugs but trading in running is the best chance to make steady profits. I can't agree with chasing overs solely, it doesn't hit enough times. Trading under 2.5 goals is a good play generally which you can combine with an over 4.5 goals as insurance. Horse racing is more for mugs because you there are too many variables, fav coming out the stalls last, fallers, non triers, wrong ground etc.

Harry is one of the best gamblers I have ever seen he speaks a lot of sense and if there were many like him around the bookies would cringe.
he lost over £2 million on new zealand to win rugby world cup 😕
and has still won £25+ million in his lifetime so I’d say that’s not bad
Why don't we see him on TV anymore, his column in the post years ago was the best around
he got killed off by paddy power

Better off backing red or black on a roulette wheel. The tote, pari-mutuel, whatever, is a ripoff. Don't go for the double zero, just the zero.
