  • The Walther PPQ M2 is an improvement over the original PPQ pistol. It features ambidextrous slide lock and reversible mag release which makes it ideal for both left and right handed shooters. The mag release has been moved to the common 1911 position over the original trigger guard mag release. Overall the pistol performed flawlessly without any fail to fire, fail to eject or jams of any kind.

    Good Review... I recently purchased the 4 inch version... Here in Texas they're available and with the 15 shot mags... I was very impressed with the trigger... Also very accurate...
    One addition I made was installing the Trijicon HD night sights... They have the Orange or Yellow surrounding the front sight dot... Makes it much easier to focus on the front sight for my ageing eyes, highly recommended... I've changed sights on Glocks and on a CZ and these were the easiest to install...

      Atilla Kolik Thanks mate, I think it was a long overdue concept, we have so many shooters here that need somewhere to get online reviews of gear that is actually available here...

    Great Review. Thanks. Been waiting for an OzzieReview on the PPQ M2 9mm. Liked the review you did on the .22LR version of this pistol and have decided I will go this way when my licence comes through in a few months. Managed to handle both models at Cleavers a few months ago, great feel for those of us with large hands. Have been shooting with club guns like Beretta 87 Target, S&W 22A and Colt 1911 Rail Gun, and although all good pistols, the PPQ M2 just felt so much nicer. Very difficult to make a decision on which pistol to purchase without the ability to use one at a range/club, your review(s) have been great in helping me decide which way to go. Thanks again.

      Thanks Andrew, I have owned most of those pistols, the Beretta 87 is super accurate and I tried as hard as possible to get it to jam or fail in some way, but it never did, super reliable but you can't use high velocity ammo through it... The Colt Rail Gun is a lot of fun, it pretty much cycled anything I threw at it, standard velocity, high velocity, hyper velocity, all no problems… but the PPQ M2 feels good in the hands especially as you say, if you have big hands… I find the 22 pistols a lot of fun, at times a challenge but overall just cheap to shoot and great for practising the fundamentals of good pistol shooting…

      ***** Picked up the Walther PPQ M2 22 last week. Put 150 rounds through it on the weekend, CCI SV, and it cycled through without any fails. Very impressed, and happy. Now, save up for the 9mm version....

    hey mate, loving your reviews. Do you do any more polymer pistol reviews? (i.e. Glock?) or other popular pistol models? 9mm H&K USP, Beretta 92FS?

    is it possible if you can please do a video on how to change the mag release to the right hand side? Awesome video by the way, thinking about getting the 22LR variant just because of your review on it! :D

      I like the 22, only because it's cheaper to run and you can have the same fun with it… As for a separate video just on the mag release, if you get one, just look in the manual and you'll see how to do it easy enough, I wouldn't do an entire new video just for the that, sorry…

      no worries mate, i've been thinking of getting one of the two, but haven't had the time to get over to cleavers to check them out, and i can't find any decent reviews on the net.

    Hi Ozzie, I'm looking to get into pistol shooting and wondering if you can recommend a pistol for someone with smaller hands, I guess with the restrictions on barrel length in Australia, a lot of the 'compact' versions are out. Any suggestions for a couple to look at for starters? Most likely in 9mm. Cheers.

    • @ozziereviews
      @ozziereviews  9 років тому

      If you want something that is compact and also good for smaller hands, the Ruger SP101 357mag revolver is a good handgun with small grips… you can run 38 specials through it for reduced recoil and affordable shooting… If you're heart is set on a 9mm you'd be best on going into a gun store and trying several to see how they fit… have a look at 1911s and various polymer type pistols, some of the compact types may comply (with barrel lengths) if fitted with a muzzle break, so keep that in mind too...

    Would you replace the guide rod to steel in order to lessen the recoil? Thanks
