Yes, NARS caters to all skin tones, this is why they are my fav brand. And when they make products they keep this in mind. For example to have 2 cheek pallets, #I&2. They even came out with an eyeshadow pallet, skin deep. I’ve never owned a pre made pallet where I can wear every color.

@farnaz fer right? Do you notice she puts the foundation on while the skin looks wet still? I’ve always been told “let it sink in” but I’m noticing more artists don’t wait (Nadine Baggot had Kim K’s artist on her channel and he said it melds with the skin if you put on foundation before the cream sinks in). Maybe that’s the trick and why they don’t really use primer that I’ve noticed. I wish I had HALF her talent and eye for color.

Hi Survivor 13...I think it's far more to do with technique than expensive products. Look for affordable dupes and I'm sure you could get a similar look by experimenting! To be honest with you, I think expensive make up is a big con but that's just my opinion :)

Check out the E.L.F. Brand of cosmetics and makeup supplies. Their products are good at a FRACTION of the price of premium brands like CT. For example, I’ve bought excellent makeup brushes from them for literally $3 and even $1-their regular price!! Their makeup is good, too. Use the same techniques with your E.L.F. products as she does here and you’ll be set!
I love CT and I love even more that she uses not only 20 year old models. However, for me there is a bit of too much glow here. The mask, the quite heavy cream, the light wonder foundation is glowy, then the flawless filter....I agree that a mat make up would not be flattering, but I find this too much on a shiny side, at least in real life.
All you would need to do is use less moisturizer then, simple! Also remember the camera is extremely close up & with a bright light too, so in real life it wouldn’t look as shiny!

@@bellabana if you got super oily skin and live in Texas like me, then you will look like a grease pan within 3 hours tops. The ONLY product I can use of CT is her cream eyeshadow in Oyster Pearl.

It is nice to see, but she looked more beautiful before the makeup was applied. I just celebrated my 47th birthday the first week of October; I wouldn't let CT touch my face with a 10-foot makeup brush.

She looked beautiful before but I feel the foundation was too heavy and settled into her wrinkles and really looked a bit caked.. gorgeous lady either way.

I agree.....too heavy . Pores were more noticeable.
She’s beautiful - this is beautiful but I feel like it looks quite cakey in reality. I do my 70 year old mother’s make up often and the ONLY foundation that doesn’t sit in lines in older skin is Mac face and body. In my experience anyway. I use charlottes pressed powder on top.
I agree, I'd be more impressed if Charlotte showed how to adapt her products to skin that has dramatic texture and lines rather than make them overly glowy so they broadcast to outter space. Meh.
Agreed. MAC face and body is the best foundation for mature skin. Use a touch of concealer where you need it but keep the rest light and fresh

I think the actual makeup itself is of a very fine quality. However, her application of it - particularly on this beautiful woman’s face, was way too heavy handed. She could have used a much lighter hand , avoiding the nose and the areas where the makeup could begin collecting and the outcome would have been brilliant. The application techniques of Violette (on UA-cam and Instagram) have totally revolutionized my way of applying makeup. I’m 65 and want to enhance my wrinkles, not accentuate them as was done here.
So pleased to see this look on a mature woman with your Pillow Talk collection, because I wasn't sure how it would look on older skin, but I have to say it's fabulous. Subtle yet striking. Absolutely lovely.

A beautiful lady to start with - I feel too many products were used and agree with others she ended up looking a little cakey. A little foundation, blush, lipstick and mascara is all this natural beauty needed. I’m a similar age I think and would feel overly made up like this, although the colours are natural.

Charlotte , Lisa Eldrige and Mary Greenwell always apply makeup with such a lovely light hand, like the brush hardly touches any product and then they just 'dust' it on the face. I love it!

I just bought the Pillow Talk quad & blush to go with the lipstick & liner last week & they are perfect for natural makeup days & no makeup makeup looks. I also just picked up your new Icon palette. I would love to see you do a video on a mature model with some of those beautiful satiny shimmers too. I'm still going for shimmers for as long as these 59 year old eyelids of mine can possibly pull them off. Lastly, I spent years looking for a moisturizer that works well under different foundations & once I found your Magic cream it instantly became my holy grail. It plumps my skin & primes it for makeup beautifully. Thank you! ❤️
Just love that this woman reflects what woman go through as they age. The fine lines, smile line etc. She is a beautiful woman before and just glowing after. These products would be amazing if it were more economical for our everyday availability. Love watching your tutorials.

The model is gorgeous, but the make up ended up looking way too heavy and too much highlight in the wrong places. A lighter hand was needed here just to bring out her features and show off the products.

I agree. Too much foundation looking, and too shiny. Hi lights were too much.
I think young skins can get away with the 'dewy' look, but on more mature skins it looks like an oil slick. And I can say that from experience as I'm 62!

Watching her do magic made me feel more at ease .i think of makeup too often as work .I definitely have a bit of a different outlook seeing how she just applys makeup with ease .i need to come nack to wath this again and again when i start to overthink my applying a face of art (makeup) i overthink it too much it SHOULD be fun not feel like work.
I love Charlotte; she's infectious and you feel tempted as a result to buy an armful of her products. The problem is, though, that while she is using a mature model, she is still applying the make-up the same way as she would for a younger model. Her face has a shine therefore like the moon. It accentuates all her lines.

Heavy makeup enhanced her fine lines, not everyone could afford botox like Charlotte.
Life changing lash curler. Come on its a lash curler unless it's made out of platinum it could be diff then say Mac or Tarte or even Revlon

The facial foundation has a very heavy obvious look...the model is gorgeous and her skin is spoiled by the foundation, concealer.
Agreed! Maybe spot conceal and use a tad of under eye concealer to brighten, subtle powder. Her natural skin is crazy beautiful.

Despite the fact that I totally love Charlotte and have almost all of her products, this video is a car crash, in my opinion. . The tone of the foundation, I think was chosen far too yellow for her skin tone. Highlighter was put on the part of the face where it should not be, everything is too cakey and shiny. First time I would say I can't believe Charlotte did this make up herself!... the only thing that 'saved' it was the quality of products.

I'm obsessed with your cream i'm obsessed with your wonder glow and light wonder and concealer and I have every one of your eyeshadows and I have everything of yours and I have 2 daughters one 18 and one 13 and we buy everything everything but this woman I feel needs a different type of foundation. Maybe it was too dewy it seemed to settle in her lines which i've never seen before by you, CT. I appreciate the complexity of ageing skin because I watch my mom putting makeup on and it all settles in her lines and I think this woman has a lot of skin damage from the sun and its not easy but a different less moisturised look would definitely compliment her. I love your makeup CT and this woman is gorgeous but maybe you need to use a makeup for older women. I'm 50 and I have good skin believe me I still have lines but your makeup and cream does not settle in my lines and I use your wonder glow first and its perfect!!!!XO

I'm 62 and no longer wear foundation because of results like this. I wear BB cream and use a very light application of concealer where needed. Then I use illuminating translucent powder and blush while making sure to avoid my wrinkles. I find matte eyeshadows age you just as much as a shimmery glittery eyeshadow. The trick is to find an eyeshadow that is somewhere in between.

i typically dont ever leave any type of "thumbs down" type comments on YT (too much negative nonsense in the world & i truly dont want to add to it) however this makeup look did NOT enhance this model's look. i believe she looked beautiful BEFORE the makeup was added. the products CT used seemed to enhance lines, settle into creases & age her face. she had such a naturally pretty, glow-y complexion before anything was added to her face & the make up only served to replace her lovely glow with an artificial, mask-like cover up . i think this video is a PERFECT example of social media platforms trying so hard to make us believe things that simply are not true. it'd be 1 thing if this make up,in any way, enhanced her "already there" beauty --but it did not.
I know the majority of mature women like that glowing look but I don’t like to look shiny because I feel it emphasizes imperfections of texture and lines. When I prep my skin its well moisturized, sometimes I mix a few drops of marula oil into my moisturizer. I use a matte foundation but I only use it in my T zone so I use very little, I like it because it makes my skin look smoother; evens out the reflection of light. The matte doesn’t look cakey because I use so little and it doesn’t look dry because I have a lot of moisturizer underneath so my skin is moist. I have dry\combo skin and I’m 61. I have a difficult time finding a foundation match because I am medium skin/cool undertone with olive skin. It’s hard to find the right ratio of cool/warm.
Please open a counter near Denver Colorado. I can’t try anything in person anywhere near me. I’d love to swatch things because the colors online make the lightest concealer look white. If I could own one brand it would be Charlotte Tilbury and I’ve never tried anything.

How I wish I could be a model on Charlotte's tutorials. Bet it's a lot of fun. I hope that she would create foundation shades for light skin with yellow undertone. Her foundation shades needs to expand. The pillow talk eyeshadow palette looks ashy on me. The golden goddess palette shades look better on me as well as the sophisticate palette shades. I just love her voice and how passionate she is with her products. I hope I can afford to buy more of her products.

I love Charlotte but I have to be honest in each video she is advertising her own makeup and skin care line. Never ever has she used another product. I have nothing against that but for some people her line is simply not affordable in fact it's quite pricy for anyone. It would be nice to see more affordable products used for younger people especially who can't afford super expensive self maintenance.
