Questions, show a packed back pack. How your poles get placed on the strap. Also how you take care of your feet during the walk and at night. Keep inspiring.

Hello Sandy - I just found your videos and watched about 6 in a row! They are awesome :) I am 51 but aspire to walk the Camino when I retire at 60 or so... You mentioned once that you were Canadian... May I know which province and town you are from ? I currently live in Halifax, NS. Thanks again so much for all your wonderful insight and information for first time and senior walkers.... Truly appreciate it!!!

Hi Sandy, specific to the Northern way what app did you use for route navigation? My big concern is staying on trail as I'm walking sole and doing all the work. There are many "Camino" apps and others (Maps.me) but wanted to make sure I was on the Camino route and not walking between citing on what google maps recommended. Any information is appreciated and thank you.

For the Francis I used the Buen Camino App (not sure what you mean by the Northern Way) - it's solid blue with the yellow Camino arrow in it. It has numerous routes on it. I also had John Brierley's " A Pilgrim's Guide to the Camino de Santiago" - it's printed not an App. Also i picked up an elevation map at the Pilgrim's Office in SJPP - nothing to do with directions just what i was in store for each day. And if i got really stuck i pulled out my phone used - Google Maps. One thing i also did was each afternoon or evening i figured out where the trail exited the town so in the morning (sometimes it was dark or raining) i knew exactly where to go and i did not spend time trying to discover the way out to get to the next town. Hope this helps - any other questions happy to help if i can !

@@seniorswalkingthecamino thank you Sandy. I was under the assumption you walked both the Camino del Francis and the Camino del Norte. I'll check that app you reference. And I too will be auditing the trail nightly and planning the days walk. Thanks.

@@jpmcc Hi J - haven't walked the Norte - yet! Few other walks on the bucket list first. It looks like the app has the Norte route. Have a fabulous walk!
