- Outside broadcast from the cigar shop at the Connaught hotel, filmed at an ungodly hour shortly after dawn (or at least before noon).
And given the unnecessarily early hour of the day, we select an appropriately approachable cigar the #trinidad #coloniales
Among the selection on the shelves behind us, are cigars less frequently seen than the #lochnessmonster and #sasquatch
We spend quite an extended eriod of time, marvelling at the fittings, fixtures, ladders and especially chairs (with flip down, integral side tables)and rather wish we had such appurtenances at the ancestral hovel.
it has recently come to my attention that the dancing these days is to “monetise “ ‘content’ Accordingly, Max and I begin to ponder the wisdom of a Paywall, as I believe it is known by initiates of His Majesty‘s Internet, and will begin selling debentures shortly. , Please let us know if you are interested.
Otherwise, it is the usual cavalcade of nonsense that you’ve come to expect with cameo appearances by #Cincinnatus, and the wily general known as the #Cunctator #hannibal #punicwars
very many thanks to #paulafitzherbert , and all of the #connaught for making us feel so welcome in such a splendid room

Another brilliant broadcast! That room looks incredible. And the selection of cigars looks absolutely dangerous. I’d go bankrupt.
They have a few La Reinas left, I went by on the weekend and couldn't resist. I can confirm i'm now bankrupt.
Very kind
I have two La Reinas I bought in may 2022 the morning after my son was born. It was in Taunton and they cost me £35 a stick, which was above budget then. I had no clue how rare they are now.
We need another smoking-video session with Kirby.
Love these guys.nicks voice is incredible
Someone tell me why this is so interesting? 😂 I love listening to these two talk about anything and everything! I envy the fact that they can sit indoors in a comfortable environment, sipping coffee while discussing the worlds most intriguing topics.
This is sarcasm to the best level. They are just taking the piss at this gentlemen thing in a nice way hahaha loving it
Ypur old man is so witty and fast ,very humorous..
Truly a delight. God bless you both. It brings such devine sensation to just admire, appreciate value & cherish this marvel of that which you both are. Thank you 4 this
I love the father/son relationship and conversational interplay/banter. Hilarious but also heartwarming and charming
What a great Father and Son relationship that you have. It makes life so much better, and to both enjoy cigars is great! I enjoy watching your videos while enjoying a cigar here in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Thank you
That logo sequence is a truly a proper thing gentlemen.
It’s breathtaking
No Sunday would be complete without a Foulkes and sons episode…superb location, great banter and beautifully shot as usual…many thanks gents…🙏🥃
I loved these two , the non stop side banter is excellent . Interesting . Would love to have a cigar with Nick and Max !
I am truly invested in every single video the Foulkes release....and only understand a quarter of what the hell they are talking about!!! LOVE IT!
Thank you
Great to see you gentlemen! Always pleasant for you to have us accompany you throughout the historical hotels and landmarks of the city. As usual, both of you look the part!
Class, Comments, Colonials, Cigars. Lovely time just to listen and watch!
The Connaught is a great venue, glad to see E2 so quickly in succession to E1
"2004. Yesterday, perhaps this morning."
That kept coming to mind and I laughed each time it reappeared.
8:36 for those of you who don't know, this cigar lounge has a sophisticated ventalation system where there are perforated holes in floorboards which push air upwards into the extractor fans in the ceiling.
I could listen to you two all day,the father`s voice reminds me of Kenneth Williams at his best.
What an amazing locale, a proper smoking lounge for proper men about town. I was recently asked to describe this programme and I quipped "It's a show about cigars that isn't about cigars!" Whatever it is and whatever it isn't do please keep making new episodes.
Always pleasant to acknowledge one's own quips. Especially in public.
Great to see you guys. Thank you for sharing the cigar.
Blessings from Gettysburg Pa ….
As always, I have learned so much....
The conversation that never slows or ceases once it starts! Love it!
Love the “lunatic conversation” - so nice after a long, hard day to realise there’s still a bit of fun in life. Thank you Gentlemen 🙏
Gentlemen, 😊 another great installment of sartorial excellence and humor. Thank you
Ah, a little gentleman's banter to brighten my Saturday evening - lovely.
Rare to see such lovely gentleman's ambiance conversation carried with respect and tasteful humour.
I bow before your expertise. You are truly Lords of the leaf. Praeclara praesentatio.
Greetings from across the pond gentlemen! Thank you for another brilliant video. Cheers!
Now this is, the good life , unique
Awesome see you gentlemen, thank you for the info/video.
So good to have you two back! You were missed!
How the heck did I not find your channel until tonight? You guys are so good.
This really elevates my Sunday morning 😊
I love listening to you guys while I'm doing anything. I keep having to rewind to research the cigars you mention.
As a 17 year old who love learning about cigars which is bit weird for my age . A love Listening to the amazing story you guy tell . And the Astonishing fashion sense you guy have is amazing. Much love.
Very kind
Very kind
Max’s comment about the British museum🤣🤣🤣💥👌🏼
I don’t even smoke cigars or anything else, yet I’m very much drawn to these for many other obvious reasons. Thanks, gents! You have a very good thing going here.
You guys are very witty and very knowledgeable. Keep up the great work.
Thank you
What an amazing place. Very comfortable 🍾🥂💖💖
I do not know what I am watching but I love it.
We don’t know either, and we make the thing
Max: "That was the one that shouldn't have been made"
Nick: "That's an accusation you can lay at a number of cigars"
Nick is always so witty 😂
You are very kind to think so
ENJOYED IT SO MUCH, THE ROOM IS EVERY CIGAR SMOKER'S DREAM. THANK YOU FOR THE JOURNEY. VIEWER #2
Highlight of my day when you guys come on.
I don’t smoke and I’ve never smoked a cigar in my life. But I can’t stop watching these two they’re so interesting and their stories are great. The Cigar book they put out recently is excellent.
Love the intro...chuckled about making cigars taste better by making them more expensive. Best cigar...Lusitania reserva!
Searching for Foulkes & Sons: We've Got This Covered and ended up here. Brilliant broadcast gentlemen. Cheers again from Los Angeles.
Gentlemen, those are proper chairs!!
Splendid. Just lit up a new world cigar that's very yummy. Perfect timing.
Looking sharp men! Great content and look forward to many years of watching.
What a splendid channel! Just discovered you two gentlemen and it is so refreshing!
I can't get enough of these two Gents.
Absolutely Fantastic…….
exquisite taste would be an understatement in regards to that vehicle you pulled up in...
Beautiful!
Max smoking twigs while strolling through the park 😂😂
I’ve been away and somewhat a bit edgy and I just realised I’ve missed Foulkes and Son videos good to be back and relaxing.
Thank you
Wonderful theatre, like Hinge and Bracket!
What a lovely room
Couple of blokes having a lahdi. Brilliant.
Great Video and another segment of an excellent review with a Great Conversation by 2 Well Dressed Gentlemen. Beautiful location!!
Thanks for sharing......Jose from Texas
🙏🏼🙏🏼
I love the eloquence of the Foulkes' brand of overly-emphatic tosh sprinkled with many years of tobacco wisdom. I shall keep watching. Well done gentlemen.
Would love some watch talk guys!
Marvellous gentlemen!
Wow, that looks like a very nice place. I hope you guys made it out safely through the apocalyptic crowd.
Awesome humi and the “ping” on that Dupont sounds great
Ok I'm going to say it. I wish more men were like Max and Nick, they dress how they like and act in a way they feel most comfortable. I would much rather have someone who is genuinely themselves and unafraid to explore their own personality quirks. Too many men these days are so desperate for attention that they act like baboons or walk around peacocking. The Foulke's are a shining example of what a gentleman is. Calm and collected, knowing exactly what they think and unafraid to let their feelings be known while still upholding respect and decorum.
Perhaps you're one of the last beacons of hope, I just wish more people in the modern world could be exposed to your channel. I feel they could learn alot from watching you, especially how to act with respect while still being fun. Wonderful stuff, I look forward to binge watching every episode on repeat for the 5th time!
And they are not afraid to dress and share their appreciation for civility
.
Supposably one requires a minimum of 5 rings per hand to be considered "peacocking" ..? 😅
Very kind
@@kxkxkxkx It's better than wearing five massive gold chains around the neck. It is ok to dress as though one is a peacock without simulating the behaviour of one.
The clock in the entrance showed 12:30pm!!
What a great place for smoking cigar and spending lovely time together
I can't wait for an episode where you wear t shirts, board shorts and flip flops
Early afternoon cigar with the unmistakenly foulkes
Great vlog great atmosphere. Enjoy
The only thing more brilliant than these broadcast's, is the description written underneath!
well done good souls,
God bless!
What a show!!!!!!
A nourishing breakfast cigar, akin to a full English indeed! 😃
Interesting videos. Always. Very Rees-Smog MP for the 19th Century. They certainly 'play it up'.
A proper tartan thingy me bob, dancing a tartan whatcha ma call it.
True poetry
I stumbled on this channel by accident I have no idea what's going on I just know these 2 are dressed to the nines they look really sharp and I'm enjoying watching them.
Good show as always fellas 😎 If you ever make it to the states be sure to swing my Colorado and say hi
so much wit that it could be jarred and spread on the morning toast
whilst I've throughly enjoyed this mans writing over the years and his erudition is second to none. Im a little surprised to note he dresses like a bookies clerk. White socks, jewellery and a ticket pocket, the Connaught is not what it was.....Left a like anyway obvs! As I believe is the current custom.
You put the price up and it’s better😂😂😂
Fabulous stuff! 👍🏻
Two nice Gentleman having a chat and smoking top quality cigars.
Fantastic episode!
must love when Kirby Allison slides into your DM on the channel
In the future, I wish you would (1) tell us what suit, shoes, watch, etc. you’re wearing, and (2) devote more time to discussing the strength, flavor profile, subtle notes, etc. of the cigar as you smoke through it.
Well now, that's a lot of bling they have there.
The production quality of this episode is excellent. Location, sound and video quality are just beautiful. Keep it up! - Are we going to see some merchandise this season?
Interesting glass table design
Where is my flame thrower...
The son is increasing his knowledge of Cigars in every video. Working where he does gives him a leg up. I am a Pipe man but occasionally smoke a good Cuban cigar so rely on these 2 fellows for input. Mucho.
Just when I thought that things could not get any better, The Connaught aka The Coburg (Have I spelled that right) was it changed because of Kaiser Bill's family name, and renamed after the great WW1 battleship. Well I know that the Connaught is no battleship it is the dainty Lady of Hotels. My first hotel placement when I was on the Savoy Managment Training Scheme all those many years ago, in the days of Dame D Carte and Sir Hugh Wontner! But I digress, time has moved forward and now it has a Cigar Room, as Claridges I believe has a swimming pool? Another fine episode from our intrepid cigar heroes, so happy that my Sunday mornings are improving once again with your televised missives. Phenominal. Actually wanted to do a surprise and get to your book signing but alas, back to the infirmary for me, the knives are out again! Maybe I'll make it for a Grand birthday celebration in time. Well thankyou so much from the bottom of my heart, thoroughly enjoyed thgis episode.
Good luck
Delighted to be the single viewer…
I'm currently sipping on a 34 year old Carsebridge Scotch and this video made me feel like I'm drinking peasant juice.
With much respect from an American viewer: You guys are a riot! I am waiting on the edge of my seat for y'all to chat while savoring a Dutch Master's President cigar while drinking an Old Milwaukee beer. Wearing cowboy hats.
Following the humorously-intended comment above, I diligently searched back through the Nick Foulkes & Sons Archives Vault, and much to my delight, I discovered you had indeed donned cowboy garb in a previous episode. Land sakes! But where was the Old Milwaukee beer? 🤣 Well done, gents. I repeat: you guys are a riot!
Gents, Firstly, lovely to see father and son on top form together. Secondly, I’ve long been fan of Monte” No4 and their Open Regatta but now Nicaraguan Hub Cameroon and La Aurora 115, my preferred now. Must try this “breakfast” cigar thang … esp on holiday in Mallorca from Lunes. Chin, chin, Gentlemen 😎👍 PS : Love the suits!
My new breakfast cigar - “Macanudo Inspirado”, de Dom Rep:: very smooth with one’s Cortado para desayuno. Chin, chin, gentlemen.
hahaha the fuckin rings love listening to this and not even sure why, i think its just a nice break from the chaos of life
The Gatsby lighter is lovely , I recently found two mint, unused . Great cigar but finding them is like trying to find rocking horse faeces .
Soft flame lighter is so much more elegant than the butane triple afterburners that look like vape pipes. Although nothing out bespokes a cedar split lol
Dupont lights the best cigars. I got line 1 silver from 1972.
I wish you had covered the grave concerns some of us have about what Hurricane Ian might have done to the Cuban tobacco crop, and therefore future prices. Liz Truss worries too much about energy prices when Cuban cigar prices are an even greater threat to our little niche of civilization.
White socks?! Oh dear, what a faux pas!
I like to see all the locations in London where cigar smoking is allowed and available. Great video like always. Like your suits Gentlemen>
Nice Rolls Royce you used for the ride!
