It always surprises me how oddly addictive these videos are. Before quarantine-during quarantine and probably after quarantine.
Can confirm after quarantine
@@Hair8Metal8Karen I absolutely agree with you. I just started watching hair Buddha about 4 days ago and I have almost worked my way through all of his videos. I Can't Get Enough.
100% post quarantine! Lol
I am completely hooked!
Absolutely. I watch during insomnia hits. In 2024
“We got quick blue” ..
Hair- “I’m out.”
You killed meeee 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I REALLY LOVE THIS GUY....He does a great job pointing out not only the things that the subjects in the video do wrong BUT also the things they do right...AND..when he does point out what theyre doing wrong he gives you an explination of how to do it correctly.
Wow..major run on sentence lol. I give him 2 thumbs up!
Thank you 🙏
He should be teaching!
Quick blue should be called “the fastest mistake of your life.”
Madilynn Jay 🤣🤣🤣
Quick blue means quick visit to your hairdresser so they can make more and more money
@@ltfmel I recently saw a hair dresser and she said all she did when her salon reopened after the first few weeks of the shut downs last year was color corrections. Lots of color corrections.
More like quick regret
I have terrible roots at the moment but I don't care because my country is in full lockdown and no one can see me, I will patiently wait for my hairdressers salon to reopen ;-)
i would also like to add this to my comment. Many, not all. Many of the 'do it yourself and look how great it came out for me' you tube videos. Are run by liars. I am going to stand by this. They tweak or even will use pieces or wigs to make it really believable. All for the sake of subs. Entertainment.
They don't have their viewers' best interests at heart.
Use a trained stylist. You don't go to a dentist to get treatment on a stomach ulcer.
Thanks hair buddah. Love that you are bringing these stories to light.
chanson2431 I agree!!! However, I bleached my own hair and it came out great, with as little damage as possible. BUT it took three weeks to perfect it 😂
I am not a trained professional but I did my homework and took my time, really went slower than a snails pace. I did not use any of these cheap harsh products you see in all these videos, those videos I used as a reference of what NOT to do. First, I bleached in highlights with a cap, and then left it alone for a week with doing deep conditioning reparative treatments. Then I freehand bleached more highlights around what the cap provided, to kinda blur those harsh lines out a bit. The bleach I used was a cream bleach, which has moisturizing properties, so not as harsh as a box kit or a quick blue powder. Then waited another week. Toned it using the wrong toner, since my previously dyed hair didn’t lift enough, i learned the hard way that blonde toners will not work on orange and red hair 😂 Ordered the right stuff and waited another week for it to come. That wait time was a blessing in disguise, gave me time to continue to deep condition and research more. Got the right stuff and on week three I toned my hair to a cool brown root with a dark blonde ends with soft highlights throughout. None of those videos that show how great their hair came out will show you all that trial and error. And I wouldn’t suggest anyone follow what I did, it wasn’t easy and you need a hell of a lot of patience, so I did not make a video pretending that it all came out right from the start like most do. Along the way, I posted pics for my friends to see my crazy in between red/orange hair. They got a good laugh at my expense 😂 I wanted to show that this is not as easy as just buying the stuff and doing it, far from easy actually 😂
In the end my hair feels and looks great, but that’s down to being careful with not overdoing any of the steps, buying the right stuff at a beauty supply store and not at a drug store, especially important for the bleaching process. And doing lots of deep conditioning and reparative treatments, that what I believe really saved me from over processing damage. My hair is all just about 2 levels lighter than when I started, not a huge change to anyone else but exactly what I was going for. HOWEVER, a professional could have done what I did in one sitting, it absolutely would not have taken three weeks 😂
Also, I’ve been dying my roots for years myself to cover me early grays... But never from a drugstore box kit, only from a beauty supply store. So I do have some knowledge about this kinda stuff. This is just the first time attempting to use bleach, bleach has always scared me in the past. But being bored makes you do crazy things 😂
At the age of 71, the best thing to come out of this almost-7 month shutdown is the decision I, and a lot of other women my age, have made to stop coloring and otherwise chemically treating our hair. I’m not nearly as silvery-white as I hoped to be and thought, at 71, I would be, but, I’ll get there! Just give me another 10 years! 😄🧑🏻🦳
By the time she paid for every item 😮 she could of paid a professional and it would of cost less.
Could have, would have* sorry, it is so annoying to read that ‘of’ when it should be ‘have’ 🙈
And less damaged 👀 but then again her hair was pretty compromised at the beginning I don't know of any professional hairstylist that would have put any lightener on her hair 😬 I know wouldn't 👀
@@alecocana94 Yess or could’ve would’ve but not of
Everytime I see that can of blue death, you know its going to be BAD
I love it how nice and respectful he is towards the dummies. If I were him, I'd be like, lol no you look busted sussssss next video.
I tried to go blonde when I was dark brown!!!! Got a box bleach and ended up with a leaky scalp!!!! My scalp was raining plasma!!!PLASMA!!!!!! a clear sticky fluid that dried into thick crusts all over my scalp !!!! You wanna bleach your hair then go to a hairdresser !!!!! Or someone who has had some training !!!! I was lucky I didn't loose all my hair at the root !!! Lucky I didn't go bald !!!! I damaged my scalp !!!! It hurt like hell !!! I was in my 20s I'm now 50 and to this day I get painful scalp that when I touch my hair my scalp feels burn!!!!
That happened to me too in like middle school when my friends and I bleached my hair. It was awful!
I hope she threw that bowl away, for real. That's a child's plate with a straw. If you don't clean that proper, kid will be sipping up product with his cereal milk.
I wish I could post a photo here. I have been watching you for a long time now and using your tips and tricks my 14 year old has been begging me to do her hair. I do my own and I feel very confident doing my own. I've never done my daughters and have put her of for months. Last night we reached level 10 of cabin crazy and I went for it. I used bleach to give dimensions but to active two different levels I used a spray bottle of water to take out the foils I wanted to not go as light and with a towel I wetted those parts down and wiped to stop the bleaching process. Then allowed the rest to continue. I also left overall half of her natural hair untouched in between the bleaching parts.
Once is was all done and washed it looked FANTASTIC, it all blended wonderful. Took me 5 hours from start to finish because I took my time and wanted to make sure I was doing it right. Her hair is very long and thick. I also didnt go upto the root, I did your method about bleach laying
It definitely makes me appreciate hairdresser more. Upping my tip amount
My feet and lower back was killing me
Oh and her hair is still so healthy and shiny looking. Definitely needs a cut, but she needed one before this. I am NOT going to experiment with trimming
i think you have to be very trusting with 'friends' who do beauty treatments (especially to do with hair) on you.
Not all friends have your best interests.
best go to a professional, they are 'trained' and know what they are doing.
the more i watch these bleaching at home videos, the more i am happy with my dark brown colour
I totally agree with you, I have a friend who asked me to put highlights in her hair, I have absolutely no experience at all with colouring and I did say no but she persisted saying if it didn't look good it was okay, wouldn't be my fault etc so in the end and to stop the nagging I did it, I did ask my own hairdresser for a few tips and what to do in the event of any burning sensation etc and she gave me some great advice, I did my friends hair for her (incredibly nervously!) and after much fretting and jaw clenching it was finally done, she rinsed it and I blow dried it and it looked absolutely fabulous! Rather unfortunate for me as after that she insisted I do her hair every time as she liked the result so much!! I always took great care with her hair and would even purchase the treatment to keep her hair in good condition. Kudos to you for keeping your own hair colour, I'm a redhead so I have never considered colouring my hair at all.
No way, professional stylist all the way for cuts as well .
Its three years on sunce covid and i have just discovered your videos and im hooked! Personally, i think this girl would look better with her natural dark hair.
I’m convinced these “friends” are out to make each other bald 😂 every video they post is a literal fail 😂
my isolation hero!!!!
"I am wondering how they are going to put the highlights in, with foil or something." Oh Hair Buddha, I love you, but these girls are effing clueless as to what they're doing. You are so adorably optimistic
❤🧡💛💚💙💜
The actual definition of clueless is them.
Quick tip: When washing chemicals out in the shower, turn your back to the water with your head tilted back so there is less of a chance of it running directly in your eyes/face. Watching her wash bleach out 😱
Another qurantine day well spend with your videos ❤💐
Thank you for bringing us fantastic videos of hair misfortune especially during this quarantine! You bring laughter to my household here in the UK! Stay safe everyone!! xx
Nope! Why do so many people do parts of the hair that are already bleached instead of just doing the regrow they? Sorry girlies, this did not go as well as you believe it did.
Good and helpful tips given, you’re awesome! I agree, that little child may make a good hairdresser some day 👍🏻 (just needs to stop pulling)
I always figured people go to school for a year or so to learn how to become a hair dresser, so there is no way I can do it myself. I always go to a professional.
S D I work with a lady who does her own hair at home with boxed bleach and it looks gorgeous.
I’ve always been jealous of the ladies who can do it themselves for $20.
I on the other hand spend big bucks at the salon 🤷♀️
Also...$600?? Holy cow
I've never gone to school for it but am fortunate that I can do my own!!
Her hair looked so damage before the third try.
Also, these gals did another video two months ago where they bleached her hair AGAIN!! It’s fried :(
i use Schwarzkopf Blond Me for bleaching and I use lunar tides or artic fox for coloring. My hair is blue and green, and I love it.
The smell of Blond Me is sunflower lush 💕 I love it so much
Where were you when I bleached my hair 3 years ago haha
OMG !! Quick Blue!😆Now is the time for adventure!!🤣❤️
She's really suffering and her friends are treating the whole thing like a laugh, like a sleepover party.
I just finished watching your last video when the notification came in for this one. Perfect timing!
"Be careful, you only have two eyes" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it almost killed me
'If its itching or burning wash it off , you're hurting yourself'
Me who has a really sensitive scalp that gets chemical burns often still bleaching my roots each month....
The second girl her hair was EXTREMELY dry and frizzy! She needed hair masks, protein treatments and leave in conditioner spray. Her poor hair didn’t need anymore bleach other than her roots.
We used to have a big tub of Quick blue like that. We only used it on ourselves once (it was a disaster), then used the rest to de-stain porch furniture and a vintage cat piss stained wedding dress.
For anyone considering bleaching their hair, do not get quick blue. I recommend Wella bleach/lightener. Never gone wrong with it and it does not dry out. (Unless you don't apply enough product. But that's with any bleach.)
KitKat Jones quick blue is literally battery acid
Always, always, always do a test patch. I have been dying my own hair all sorts of colors for 20 years now, and I still do patch tests, even when dyes I've used before.
Quick Blue gives Quick DAMAGE 😂
YES
A hairdresser a few years back burned my scalp about 4 years ago. She said I needed to bleach the bottom of my hair white to do a rainbow, even though I disagreed with her, she said it would hold the colours better. Anyways she left the bleach on too long, even though I was telling her I was in pain, she did nothing. Just put it this way never went back to her. Since then been doing rainbows in my naturally blonde hair without issue and without bleach at all. I just use dye remover if I want to change the colour. Never ever in all the years I have been doing my hair myself, never have I burned my scalp.
"Nice Doc!!!"🐶😊😊😊
Please keep uploading react videos they are amazing, you give great explanations and your reactions are sooo funny and spot on. Greeting from Morocco
If you're bleaching all of your roots, where the bleach will get on your scalp, only use 20 Volume developer or lower! Many professional lighteners (bleaches) even say on the packaging to not go higher than 20 Vol for the scalp. You can also use a cream bleach instead of powder for on scalp bleaching, and that's supposed to be more gentle. I'd spend the extra money on a high-quality developer with some type of conditioning oil built in. You may have to do 2 sessions but that's better than painfully damaging your scalp and hair. Scalp damage can injure the follicles, which is where the hair strands grow from, so you could permanently lose hair from scalp damage!
Wash your hair a few days before bleaching, then don't use any products and let the natural oils from your scalp build up to help protect your head. Do not use coconut or other oils or you'll just block the bleach from working. Be sure not to scratch your head at all in the time leading up to, during, and after bleaching or coloring, because you can get tiny cuts that will get very irritated and painful from the bleach.
Really, you should be doing a *patch test* for any new products you use at least 24 hrs beforehand, to be sure you won't have an allergic reaction. You just mix up a tiny bit and put it on the inside of your elbow and leave for 24-48 hours, and do not use if you have any redness, irritation, etc.
I am so sorry for all these hairdressers who will need to handle it after lockdown...
Oh don’t they know what they’re doing and make good $$ off it! Plus I’m sure it creates some loyalty!
I got chemical burns when I bleached my hair once. The pain was so bad that the muscles in my neck and shoulders locked up. It took 3 days before I could move my head properly.
I'm new here but I've been loving the content, hope you're well!
These girls are chaotic and all over the place. I got stressed just watching them
Watched this once before, hadn’t caught your comment at the beginning about the baby becoming a hairdresser from how much he was playing with the lady’s hair😂
Your guesses are often right, that one can be too!
Nothing without a professional hairstylist🙅🤦
I love you videos 😍 Your comments, explanations and tips are extremely helpful. Thank you so,so much 😊👍
How come we don’t see men wearing waist coats anymore. It looks good on you Buddha. Anyway I just bleached my dark blonde and toned with…yes, Wella T18. Came out a lovely blonde but the tips came out silver. My hair is in a short pixie and the tips were bleached 6 months ago. I really tried not to get bleach on the tips but it’s hard with short hair.
I've seen hummingbirds sit still longer than the first two girls! 😱
Loreal has made a fortune off quick blue
I used quick blue with salon care developer one time ( years ago), and I would never touch it again. It's so harsh ( I mean more so than any other bleach is). I now only use the ion cream lightener with its dedicated developer. It works well for me, ( natural level 6.5/ 7) is for sensitive scalp ( I only do regrowth now anyway, but I did use these products when I initially went platinum too), and I like the consistency for even bleaching. I also use Ola-plex 1, 2, and 3 during the process. I don't think I'd use any other brand except maybe Guy Tang's line ( if I could afford it lol)
She's trying to look like her friend but the blond doesn't look good on her at all.
Love your accent 💖👍
everytime i see this videos i really LOVE my henna :) no pain, no demage, nothing but healthy hair
Hair look already DRYYYYY before even starting the process .... RIP hair
Quick blue has been around for a very long time it isn’t a bad product at all and was considered one of the best in its time. New products with better science and better ingredients on the market have become superior however :) that being said experience is what it takes for great results
Also I want to add that ANY chemical service should not be painful EVER. A little discomfort like itching is very different from actual PAIN. BURNING PAIN is very different from itching! If you are experiencing pain you must wash the chemicals out IMMEDIATELY and do not apply any products that can reactivate the chemical process.
The video just started & I'm hearing the notes from Jaws in my head. 🤣 This is gonna end in disaster for one of those gals.
No 🧤again😂😂these videos are funny af
Looking fine @HairBuddha #Throwback wall background ❤️🙏✌️
The state of the second girls hair makes me so nervous. Like omg it’s so damaged
It was the same girl, it was just filmed in two stages
Thank you for the upload and explanation
Dang girl...
at some point you just have to say enough is enough. Enough with the bleach!! When your hair looks like that .. take a break
Thank you for teaching us
And everything doing without gloves?! 😱
Apreciate your courage! Brave!!
not everyone has a salon sink with a hair washer, especially at home. Its difficult to rinse your hair and not get it all wet when using a tub faucet or shower head
Wat ben je toch een leuke man ❤️Je videos zijn ook altijd zo leuk.
He said “I think they are crazy”👀😂
QUICK BLUE ALERT! QUICK BLUE ALERT! Hehehehehehe
Hair Buddah can you do a video explaining the different types of brushes and what they're good for? I have rainbow hair and it's really fragile so I'm just wondering which brush would be best to keep it untangled and soft, thank you! 💕
Tangle Teezer, BUT start at the ENDS of your hair and gently work your way up to the scalp.
I used to do hair and swear by that brush!
Also, avoid brushing the hair when wet (unless you’re a curly haired person) because it’s most fragile when wet. If you MUST brush when wet, then use a very wide toothed comb to minimise breakage, and start at the ends of your hair when combing.
Quick blue and Sally, Sally and quick blue any other brand? 😱
Hi, I like your channel.... I always watch your videos
On the second video, what is that noise??? Is it part of the music??? 🎶 Sounds like a weird duck 🦆!!!
Once again amazing advice. Thank you for the awesome videos.
I’m really glad I’ve been watching your videos. My hair has gotten a lot darker as I’ve aged, and it’s fine. I used 30v developer and only left it on about 20 minutes, but I used foils and certain parts of my hair became very brittle. I loved the color but not the damage. It’s good to know I should only be using 20 if I decide to do it again once all the damage has grown out and been cut off.
Is it mean of me to comment on the messiness of the bedroom and bathroom? The amount of stuff on the bathroom counter makes it hard to keep it tidy and clean… if Hair Buddha feels like correct them on the hair technique, I feel like cleaning and organising the place!
Another vid! Thanks hair buddha ❤️❤️
You are such a lovely person! I want to give u a hug lmao
Thank you 🙏
Im just amazed how in every. Single. Video. They brush their newly bleached hair. It just pains me to watch
I just like to say, you always look smart hair Buddha
Thank you for answering my question I always wanted why when people use purple shampoo they had turned. Because the pigmented I damaged and now we can absorbent
cynthia landis purple shampoo has been a game changer for my heavily highlighted hair. 👍
Your schedule is interesting, thank you
You are very informative helpful! Very thankful to have this subscription " Hair saver
The dog is beautifully blonde.👌🏽🥰💕
Love the advice about starting at the back and letting that sit for 30 minutes, washing it, and then doing the top for 30 minutes and washing because these aren't professionals, they don't do this kind of job every day, so they're not going to be as quick and effective as a professional hairdresser. These kinds of videos are usually people who want to get things done and get good results QUICKLY, but if you want good results and you're not a professional, you should want to go a little bit slower to make sure you're going to get the results as close to what you want.
Hair Buddha is so cute 😂 I’d love to get my hair cut by him!
Any recommendations for treating dry hair? Bed head and anti frizz shampoos ain’t working 🙈
Dog is like "Why do humans put crazy stuff in their fur and bleach it? Lol
WHERE IS THE CHEMICAL BURN???? 😂😅😅😅
thanks for narrating. this is very educational
They would have better spend their time cleaning the flat instead of bleaching their hair...would have been healthier😄
You are so funny! I can't stop watching them. :)
Zsanett M 🤣🤣🤣
So educational 👏🏼
No! Why all that bleach on already-blond-hair?
all that great sectioning and preparation FOR THEM TO BLEACH THE LENGTHS I'm out
Hair Bhudda you look very similar to the musician Moby.
Thank You for the uploads 🙂 I hope you are keeping well during this unfortunate time of Covid-19.
Yes, I heard that before. I was clubbing in NY and they wanted to take a picture of me, they believed I was Moby 🙈
Hair Buddha, that’s priceless 😂👍🏻
@Mr_ Tinez 💀
I was thinking a more stylish Simon Pegg.
That yellow labs chonky head 😍 “nice doggie!” 😂
The girl doing the bleaching is so mean to her 'friend'! Poor girl.
She has YET to actually color this girls dark ass roots after three dyes.
She’s mixing hair coloring in the babies cereal bowl 🤬
Even the dog is blond.
Awww he’s going to be a hairdresser!! Just cute!!
Sooo after watching this I’m chickening out of bleaching my hair I’ll just wait! No burning for me!!
