Well, it was a bit of a shocker - alot was expected of him, for good reason. Khan is freshman - he made rookie mistakes in a semi. Hopefully he learns something from it. His kick almost saved the day after running all the turns in the 2nd/3rd lane - but he stopped accelerating 25 metres short of 5th place. Khan needs to sharpen his elbows and mix it up in the pack a bit more to claim and defend his qualifying spot. No risk, no reward.
The fact of the matter is he should have gone through, he was expected to go through but he screwed up. I bet he never makes this mistake again. Not to take away from anyone else.
