this guy is how i wanna be when im older, showing love too the younger generation and understanding , inspiring person
thats why i wanna become a teacher. daily trying to understand and help the younger generations, im really looking forward to that
Wow! What a compliment, thanks so much Jordan! That means a lot, I love what I do and sharing my knowledge while learning new things from people. That’s why I’m so inspired by you and so many younger people who help me learn more about music!😊👍

When my niece gets in my truck, she always puts Lil Peep on my radio. At first, I was like what the hell are you listening to? Over time as I reluctantly listened to his music, I realized this is one of the saddest stories in music. All his songs are about drugs and depression. He was crying out for help and knew he was going to die if he continued on the road he was traveling. I'm a 53-year-old man and I found myself wanting to give this kid a hug and tell him that there is hope, there is a better life. Sadly, he died of an overdose. It's a tragic story. If only someone had listened to his cries he might still be here today. RIP Lil Peep. I hope you find peace in the stars tonight.
@@duxky1609 well he ODed on fentanyl. So it was an overdose. He wasn't trying to overdose and he didn't take an amount he thought would make him OD but he still did overdose on fentanyl
@@duxky1609 how is that not an overdose tho? He accidentally overdosed on a substance. Many heroin overdoses are due to it being cut with fentanyl too
@@makmusikchi I was half asleep typing that lol haha and yes I know I was a addict for 5 years but yeah he did but it wasn’t intentional, yes I know not everyone does intentionally
DUXKY lol all good
@@duxky1609 It's all good man. But he also sings about his cocaine and alcohol addiction in his music. He knew the road he was traveling would eventually kill him if he didn't get help. Listen to the lyrics in his songs. I know he didn't overdose intentionally. It's just sad when a young life comes to a short end due to addiction.
“It sounds like he’s trying to be understood but cannot “ exactly 💯
Fucking deep🤦♂️😔
Wait pause.🤣
Dude this guy just knew. I think you just helped me without even meaning to. I feel the same way about myself.
💔
Burst into tears when he said this. 100% nailed Gus's message. This is the exact feeling that united so many fans around his music. That hopelessness and fear that no one will ever truly understand you. I hope anyone reading this learns that there are people out there who can understand you and appreciate you for the beauty that is inside your heart. Keep living a life that is as close to your ideal self as possible. One day at a time
His mom says he wrote this in a notes app on his phone on a drive back from visiting his grandpa. Beautiful thoughts saved.
Thanks for this!😊👍
Didn‘t he say he wrote it on heroin somewhere. I‘m pretty sure he said that before performing the song at a concert.
@@SchweinerSchinkler i am pretty sure peep never did heroin, never seen/heard it anywhere
@@SchweinerSchinkler yea he said he wrote it high on heroin in his bedroom.
lil peep the way i see things is a beautiful song with lots of feeling

Older generations can’t stand any of this music generally and are so close minded to it so it feels amazing knowing that theyre are people out there not in our generation that can understand the feelings we go through and the issues we deal with every day. You will help our generation so much with what you are doing and I guarantee you will have millions of followers. Thank you so much
Which generation for you? I think the last 3 can relate to him. He’s timeless 😩
pin comment 📍
It’s not about the problems they ve always been there the only thing that changed is the generations they ve gotten softer
I'm 42 I'm his biggest fan 💗
But he has no ideas at all so how is he going help anyone exactly?
Gus was and is one of the best artists that related to me, he was public about his mental health issues, his suicidal thoughts, attempts, etc. He had a tough upbringing with his grandfather being his bestfriend, he wouldn't be healthy enough to perform some shows so yes he used substances but his management would go get drugs off of the streets for gus (lil peep) to perform so they could make the money regardless of his health, so he took xanax (Alprazolam) 2mg laced with fentanyl which left him unconscious in his bus, I have also overdosed on fentanyl and thankfully in 8 minutes with no pulse or heartbeat 5 cans of narcan brought me back. Nobody checked on him, they did but just thought he was sleeping for 6 hours while sitting, not moving AT ALL. It gets a LOT deeper, but gus has his amazing community because WE as addicts, people who suffer with mental health illnesses we related A LOT to him. I am clean for 1 year now, and Rest In Peace Gus, Juice, X, Mac (who died taking the same m 30 fake percocet that killed me) and the many others that have passed. Long Live all of them
Good luck and stay clean bro
we love you kobi
Sup broski
I completely relate myself to lil peep’s song leanin’ when he says « woke up surprised, am I really alive » it got me so deep inside bc one night, I overdosed of xanax with alcohol then woke up the next day and told myself wow am I really alive ? All that while I’ve been driving by the ambulance to the hospital.
Lil peep was a voice for the people who’s struggling with drug addiction and mental issues. It’s Definitely a huge loss. Find the bright side with people who’ll understand you and who will help you get feeling better and where you’ll feel compfortable with. Find the good people, is probably the hardest thing to reach out in this world.
Love
It’s crazy how 2015-2017 was amazing for music, so many underground artists arose that truly represent young people. Real dark, honest and unifying
2018 was when SoundCloud went mainstream then 2019 it started dying out. Now u don’t even hear anything about SoundCloud rap anymore.. We all just witnessed a shift in how music shaped the generation of rap. It’s like how the grunge scene killed the hair bands in the 80s if u think about it. Really really cool to witness.
@@GuitarZnSubz800 yeah these new people are so shit now its insane
@@GuitarZnSubz800 it all died with Peep and X
@@cyberjunkie2880 mostly them yes, but it really came to a halt when Juice died.
@@cyberjunkie2880 absolutely agree with you Peep, X & Juice we’re the most talented out of all of them and it’s just so ironic how those ones were the one that died. Hip hop is kinda watered down now, not really much going on in “new scenes”anyways. The SoundCloud rap scene was really the last one really if you think about it. The SoundCloud wave had a lot of different genres of rap going on so the beginning of the decade we had that whole Chicago drill scene, then we had that whole famous dex, uzi vert, pump goofy moves wave or whatever tf it’s called 😂 then of course, the whole Phonky, punk, horrorcore wave that was going on, then emo rap and then it was the whole 6ix9ine snitch goofy as shit wave or that attention seeking dumb shit to get famous bullshit wave yk? 🤣. There were so many great artists that rose to fame off that platform during that time. It’s sad to see it fade away like that. There’s still artists on there that are really good! You just gotta really dig. There’s this whole mini black metal rap type scene going on that I wish blew up when the SoundCloud scene was popular. Go check out Mary Mortem, Crook, Tommy Blve, Any members from DETHN. Elkk is another one that’s really good too! SoundCloud was the beginning of an era.
Within his fandom, alot of us know that peep was in alot of pain and struggled heavily with his drugs problem, but not only that, his father wasnt there for him when he grew up, his grandpa was his father figure. I think thats where most of his pain comes from but not only that, i feel like his breakup with emma was something very hard for him. Theres is alot of issues piling up, he never had time alone, there were always people in his house, sleeping in his bed, wearing his clothes. He tried to help them since he now earned money but it wasnt good for him, he couldnt help all of them and that was a huge weight on his shoulders, he wanted to help them so bad but he couldnt. He got used bc he had money. He was on tour which he hated, he didnt enjoy it anymore. On november 15 2017, he had one of his shows in arizona, lines of people were waiting outside, he was in his tourbus. When it was time to get on soon, they called him but he didnt respond, he was asleep. It took 4 hours for them to find him, dead. Theres alot in the docu on netflix if u want to get more into this, but i will say, not alot of thing there are entirely true but i wont get into that.
This video breaks my heart. Its like a memorial for him. I always get goosebumps whenever i watch it.
Very nice take, thanks so much for the story and insight into his life😊👍
DO NOT WATCH THAT DOCUMENTARY IS A COMPLETE COVER Up.
@@near4952 I dont think all of it is, i think theres truth to it,but do think there is parts where people lied and arent truthful in the slightest bit. Cant exactly say that his mom or emma were lying. His record label and a few GBC members were. not all.
@@near4952 how did u know im curious ?
@@ikeyikey2766 they’re probably just meaning that since a few of the GBC and people interviewed where definitely untruthful of some of the events that happened/led up to Peeps death. Some things truly just don’t add up and are totally reckless.

Quick reminder: I requested Lil Peep „Life is beautiful“ before cause i thought it would be the best introduction and fitting juice‘s theme or overall struggles, although Star Shopping is a good one too, a classic for the fans. I‘d love to get this next. 💯🖤
Life is Beautiful is definitely one of my favourite Lil Peep songs. Would love to see a reaction to that!
I would love to see this reaction as well!!!
Oh yess I'd like to know the reaction of that song too
Yeah, that one should be interesting fo sure!
life is beautiful is absolutely a great one for him to breakdown
Anyone else who got emotional while watching this reaction, and wow this guy is amazing its like he understands what rappers lyrics mean which fans cannot
I'll attempt to be the resident Lil Peep expert and give you some background on his life.
He was born on November 1st 1996 in Allentown PA.
His father was never really in his life and I think this weighed on him, though he rarely talked about it. He also had a relationship with a girl named Emma for years and I dont think he ever fully got over their breakup.
He got into making music in his teen years when he found SoundCloud and his original name before Lil Peep-peep was his mom's nickname for him, and he was extremely close with his mom-was Trap Goose. He was also close to his grandfather. Also his brother Karl and his adorable dog Taz.
He eventually left home to pursue his dreams and joined various music groups, being homeless for the majority of the time, or sharing a place with like 10 people. During this time he became close friends with another artist Lil Tracy, and they made around 50 songs together.
He eventually made it with a record deal and got his own place. He would let his friends stay there, let them wear his clothes, and really just overall tried to help them as much as he could even though he probably wasn't in the best position to be helping others at the time. I think he really had trouble with the idea that he couldn't help everyone, though he wanted to.
He was into a lot of drugs and nobody around him really tried to do anything about it. They were either drug addicts themselves, indifferent to his drug use, or they fed him more drugs. (His management team I believe is guilty of this, they liked his image and wanted to keep that, even though it clearly wasn't what was best for him.)
I believe he moved to London at some point in 2017, though he was also on tour a lot.
He died November 15th 2017 in Tuscon Arizona to an accidental fentynal overdose-2 weeks into age 21-due to laced pills. It's sad because he was on tour and surrounded by people, but nobody checked in on him until it was too late.
There's a documentary on Netflix if you ever wanted to learn more in depth about his life BTW. He was an influence to Juice Wrld, who was a fan of him.
Overall he was an extremely kind person who always treated others with respect. He grappled with mental health issues but refused to go to therapy, I believe he didn't think it could help him.
He enjoyed anime and fantasy shows like Game Of Thrones, was also into video games.
Thanks so much for reacting to him, he's my favorite music artist and I really enjoyed your video. 🖤much love
Sheesh bro left an essay lmfaoo

“When I lie” is a deep song that I would love to hear you break down. Also you should check out U said, Belgium, awful things and moving on. Those are all deep songs. There’s a documentary on lil peep that explains some of his life and how he came up as a artist and inspiration. It’s called Everybody’s Everything. Lil peep is a fun artist to get to know. Even if you find negatives about him, keep looking because the positives definitely weigh out the negatives.
Thanks so much for this! Great insight!😊
When i lie was one of his greatest written songs.
U Said is phenomenal song. Second half kinda weird tbh lol. Witchblades is fire and moving on is probably my favorite
Your favorite dress is good track too
I just quit drinking and smoking because my friends were getting worried about me. I would come to school high quite often, I would be hammered every single night, and i was getting more dependent on alcohol. Not so much abt weed but i would do anything that would fuck me up so I wouldn’t have to be sober. Lil peeps music really helped me realize that struggling with addiction is okay and it’s not something you should hide from ppl. I really thank him

5 degrees was my song to my kids’ dad and first love who committed suicide a few months after Peep died the second I heard it. But so many of his songs remind me of him. Mourning Peep and Justin at the same has been fucking hard af. I want to get exit life tatted on my knuckles for both of them. I have a huge centipede tattoo on my forearm. Before I got it I knew I wanted a Peep tattoo someday but I didn’t know what, and then one day I was searching all of his tattoos and figured out I already one. Fuckin wild, man. 🐥🤘🏼💜💜💜
Hey I’m not even finished with the video and I just wanna say I love you. This song brings me to tears all the time and the way you dissected the lyrics and really understood everything that was being said.
That touched me. You are an amazing person and please continue to do this as long as you are able. RIP LIL PEEP.
You should definitively react to We Think Too Much or Let Me Bleed. They're both amazing songs
my most listened to song on spotify for 3 years in a row, i love this song so much
THANKS FOR DOING PEEEP continue with all of these artists please, you are the best
It's so great to see you being so understanding with this kind of music. When I show people this kind of sad music, they quickly shut it off. I'm just trying to reach out in the only language I know how to... Through music. So when people insult my music choices or quickly shut it off, it kinda hurts and gives me no hope in anyone understanding how I'm feeling. So to hear you not only hear everything Lil Peep said, but also enjoying it, genuinely warmed my heart.💞
this made me cry a little, the start of star shopping makes me tear up usually but like the analysis of it made me see myself in it a little bit more.

Rest in peace Gus, definetly one of the artists that touched my soul the most. 🕊️🖤
Amazing to see you connected to the music like this. Brought a tear to my eye like the first time I heard star shopping
The way I see things, Let me bleed, Nothing to U, Haunt U, Praying to the sky. Give those a moment of your time as well if you are thinking of doing another peep song.
RIP Peep 🐥💕
Wow this is exactly what it looks like to have a therapist who can dissect information and try to understand someone’s situation even from this one song. Coming from a Lil Peep fan I think you did a perfect job of describing one of Peep’s biggest points in his music, no one understanding/ excepting him for who he is or how he looks. Would love to see more Peep content, I think the song “we think too much” is another example of this topic and much more intimate.
Should definitely look into more peep songs he was pretty open about his struggles in his life
Wow you really get him. This is my favorite song in the whole world. Lots of trauma. I have BPD and I can rarely hear this song without full on sobbing. I identify with both points of view in the song. So it’s really hard not to react so deeply. The fact that Peep understood that deep pain, emptiness, and longing so accurately. Except I try and try to explain and cope but I’m so tired. The fact that you also understand what he’s saying and feeling gives me the most hope I’ve had in so long. Excuse me while I watch this on repeat just for now. How can I feel so much pain and comfort and literally weep so much all at once. Thank you so much.

This was the Lil Peep song that hooked me-- his music is such an inspiration for all of us, whether we're going through something tough or if we're looking for someone to understand us. Before listening to Lil Peep, I would think , "imagine me listening to rap, it's not even music." Now I think to myself, "I'm so glad I decided to listen to this music because it sheds light on actual human suffering that we should all take time to understand and talk about without shame. Thank you, Lil Peep for your music. It's helped me through so much already.
React to juice wrld “remind me of the summer” it’s a very deep and psychological song!
Talking about ‘Addictions’ right
It's unreleased. he cant
Remind Me Of The Summer is a leak so he can't unfortunately, it is an amazing song
Good choice!
You know how good it is to have someone from an elder gen to not bash and listen.
If you'd like to cover more Peep songs, I'd recommend "The Way I See Things" and "Life Is Beautiful". Some of his deepest songs in my opinion. TWIST doesn't have an official music video though, unfortunately.
Agree
Thank you for showing him respect, I’m 35 with PDA Autism and Peep truly saved my life with his lyrics during my darkest and most hopeless times. I have synesthesia, and his songs sound like fireworks to me - bright, colorful lights in the darkness. He gave hope to so many people. I’m now 8 years clean with his help, and becoming a trauma release practitioner partly due to his influence and honesty about his personal struggle.
When I was little, my grandma told me that we become stars when we die. Peep was picking out his star with this flow - thus, “Star Shopping”. Truly a poignant song and brilliant artist who passed so young. He’d only just turned 21.
Hope you get the chance to watch everybody’s everything on Netflix. You’ll get to see how kind and genuinely good person peep was
this is so cool that a therapist is doin this. rip lil peep. his music helps me cope with my losses
Great reaction as always!
Lil peep ‘life is beautiful’ would be brilliant - a lot to discuss within the lyrics.
Yeah, peep passed away of an accidental overdose. You should check out ‘Everybody’s Everything’, the documentary about Peep’s life and death.
The Juice Wrld fans might disagree but I actually think the Peep documentary is much better than the Juice Wrld one, it gives a much more in depth look at his rise to fame and his background than ‘In to the Abyss’ did.
What really upsets me is the way these record labels and management push and push these young artists - who are still kids in a lot of ways, they have them on a non stop touring schedule, away from their loved ones for weeks or months on end with little emotional support.
This was so obvious with Peep and Juice Wrld and also Avicci, just tragic.
one of peep's best song . great analysis Doc !
"it sounds like a guy who want's to be understood but can't be" 9:45 , this guy knows nothing about little peep besides a few of his songs and he already read him like a book, I've never heard a better explanation of his personality.

yes this needs to happen!! time to show rainy bear & lil bruh gwop some love ❤️ if you don’t know who rainy bear is that is the artist featured on nuts featuring lil peep one of their best songs ever
Tom, I hope you see this, thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart. I am not in the best place right now but Peep means a lot to me and I just stumbled across your channel, this video I cannot thank you enough for. When you spoke about priorities;
"You live out your priorities. Your priorities aren't what you say, your priorities are what you do."
This is so deeply meaningful
I have wrote it down along with your name so I don't forget lol, I think this could be literally life changing to hear for many people and I just keep reading it over and over.
Also some of the stuff you said about Peep towards the end made me understand the song's meaning so much deeper as it's definitely true regarding him going through a tough time etc, really grateful for you making and uploading this video.
Thank you again so so much and I wish you all the best
React to" nf: how could u leave us"
not me bawling during this every time the therapist talks
You should definitely check out "The Search" or "lost" By NF, i would love to watch you react to them!
Going on your channel and seeing all these new reactions you surprise me more and more
KEE0 it up 🔥🔥
Would you react to one of mine? I center around a lot of topics concerning suicide/depression/substance abuse and most of it was put out when I was 15 I think it gives an insight into what modern youth face
Your music has helped me thank you
Really enjoying these reactions! I like that you actually add value, not just nod your head to the song like most reactors here on YT.
