Thanks for putting this up!! Love the convo.
Obviously I'd want to see Celebrini get the Calder but it would be so cool to see a California-born goalie in Wolf win or get some serious consideration too. He more than deserves it. (Also, two goalies to win the Calder since Nabokov: Raycroft and Mason)

Ahh, JD. Appreciate the perspective, and love to hear the affection for this team. Yeah it isn't all where we want, but we believe in these guys.

The hardest thing for a former hockey player becoming a broadcaster is probably not swearing and cursing while you are on air or being recorded live (so you can't correct or censor yourself in time). Anyone who watches hockey games live knows how salty the language on ice can become with emotions and intensity of the game. Jason Demers is a professional so he can adapt to this restraint but it would also be good to have adult-only broadcasts for the audience segment used to stand up comedy and unreserved communication. More great content from Brodie Brazil which adds depth to the story of Sharks and NHL analysis. Jason Demers has more honesty or authenticity than your average NHL pundit, and that helps to see through the rhetoric, bluster and verbiage of less authentic commentators. The relations between sports participants and media covering the game have to be symbiotic in order for the sport to be seen and known in its best light and having your own broadcast crew cheerleading slightly for your own team is a boost. With the Sharks now, the real story is what they are becoming and witnessing their growth as hockey stars in slow motion. The formula for a Stanley Cup contender is at least 7 great forwards, 3 top defensemen, 1 star goalie and a top notch coach to make all that depth work in great harmony. Hockey has always been a team game not individualistic sport at all.

Great to have you back and I did have an interaction with Jason. Class guy, friendly, but I know that he could be a real ball buster. Enjoy your shows on UA-cam. Keep it up. #GoSharks.

looks like Price did not win the Calder his rookie year. it was Patrick Kane. but the last goalie to win the Calder was Steve Mason (CBJ 08-09). before that, Andrew Raycroft (BOS 03-04), then it was Nabby in 00-01.
