ABOUT BROOKLYN NINE-NINE
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" follows the exploits of hilarious Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his stoically ever-professional captain, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), along with their diverse, lovable colleagues as they police the NYPD's 99th Precinct. In this final season of the series, Jake and the squad must try to balance their personal lives and their professional lives over the course of a very difficult year.
Rounding out the ensemble is Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who has a passion for organization and a weakness for dork dancing; Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart; Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio); and the incredibly secretive, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Also part of the Nine-Nine are veteran officers Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose only skill as police officers is their ability to make a passable pot of coffee.
Created by Emmy Award-winning writer/producers Dan Goor and Michael Schur, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" won the 2014 Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical (Samberg). Emmy winner Braugher earned four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Capt. Holt.

Captain Holt, the man of pure logic and reasoning, going against Sullivan who’s a man that twists reasoning into a pretzel and bounces logic around like a bouncy ball? Perfection.
When he just loses it and starts cussing him out is gold as well
How is that proper reasoning it's because less cases reported because less cops, so the crimes are unreported with less support, means they are not doing their job

it's actually her real voice aswell. she's the complete opposite of how rosa is portrayed, while all the other actors are pretty much indistinguishable from their roles

Such an underrated actor, the role in Scrubs he played was so well writen and then performed to perfection with is not easy in such a series, because it requires being deep, funny and straight at the same time.

That is one of the thing people could tell you when asked, where did the real blackmail go?
For many years this actually was a legitimately a major way to blackmail someone. It’s been less then 50 years that in most places being LGBTQ was a criminal offense not to mention the social stigma around it, which depending on where you are and your community, still exists to some degree (for example, living in a conservative area or being a part of a community, religious or ethnic, where being openly LGBTQ would be heavily frowned upon if not outright dangerous)

John is one of my favorite actors. He was horrifying in Intensity and then hilarious in Scrubs. Shame he wasn’t on the Fox version of B99 because this character is just abrasive

Pretty good antagonist. For a satirical cop show to actually acknowledge the extensive problems with the legal system is respectable given the whole show was about portraying cops as lovable goofballs.
