Partially disagree as the ssd they use is incredibly anemic and far too expensive for what you get compared to the latest and greatest available today, that drive, while it looks like a 2230nvme ssd, isn't and is proprietary and you couldn't switch it with better and more affordable off the shelf parts, furthermore, it only Topps out at 3,400mb per second or 3.4 gigabytes per second, were talking about speeds that would've been state of the art in 2010 to 2014 for a single ssd. Received my Mac mini this morning and the first thing I did after restoring from a time machine backup was a blackmagic speed test. To my relief the speeds were about the same as my base m3 air which meant that apple was using 2 nand chips. Now more good news about the replaceable storage. Guys, I do not think the storage is user replaceable. It will destroy Apples ladder profit levels like $200 for a $20 256Gb storage upgrade. It will be serialised or have security measures where the OS won't let you use off the shelf storage. Or Apple will nuke it with low performance and disable security features etc artificially. I hope I am wrong, someone tell me I am wrong after swapping it with a 2TB off the shelf SSD and benchmarking it.

Pretty solid, this Mac Mini, gen . Finally!
This is definitely the one where I'll splurge.
It was time they stepped up and lived up to the Mac hype.
NOW, yes..one can finally say this is brilliant machine.
    Kudos to Apple.
And thank you guys for video.

They owe all the customers that bought the old Mac mini an apology and a free upgrade. I can’t believe I paid $1300 for a Mac mini m2 with 512 GB of ram. And now they’re selling an M4 with 16 GB of ram for 600 bucks. The worst part is that you can’t upgrade the memory of the ram on the old minis.

OK, I'm convinced. Upgrading from my 2019 16" MBP to a M4 Mac Mini. Apple nailed this. I can't ignore such a good price vs performance. Given iBoff RCC has shown upgrading Mac proprietary storage can be done, the base model is a steal.
