One of these summers, I would really like the bands to get back to the BOTB/FieldShow style presentations. The stands scene has become pretty boring since everyone only plays rap/slow tunes. Seems like no one wants to drill anymore these days lol
So hit me one more time by Britney spears is a rap tune? Olivia was a rap tune? Thata kinda generalizing our music we work so hard to make diverse and apease the crowd. Ig tho all songs summer bands play be rap/slow lol
@@loutoo437 When I was apart of Memphis Allstar and Alumni, we had our mid-tempo staple tunes and up-tempo tunes that we were known for. Tribute, Back + Forth, Fierce, Nobody Does It Better, I Keep Forgetting - those foundational songs that showed musicality + stamina. However, not only speaking to Memphis, but it would be remiss of me to say that 92% of the songs played by bands in general aren’t just endlessly looped rap tunes.
@@Moreovero Yeah we did. We traveled to HTX and NOLA for the BOTB’s. It stopped around 2009. Summer bands were really a precursor for students to keep their skills sharp over the down szn before high school or college band camp.
