  • Polaroid has forever shaped our image of the instant camera. Polaroid 600 is not a specific model. Rather, various models of the 600 series have been introduced to the market over many years. There are 50 different Polaroid 600 models plus color and theme variations.
All models use 600 film and are considered to be classic point-and-shoot cameras.
The first Polaroid 600 camera was manufactured in 1980
The inexpensiveness of the Polaroid 600 camera series contributed to its widespread popularity. It became the must-have Christmas and birthday present.
The Polaroid Supercolor 635 CL is an instant camera. The Polaroid camera is easy to use. As a beginner, you practically don’t need the instructions. Just aim at the subject, press the shutter button and the picture comes out of the camera. This camera weighs 672 grams. The camera was manufactured from 1986 to 1992.
SEE THE WORLD IN A NEW LIGHT
Polaroid has designed a unique photographic system. Using a tiny electronic computer, the system - a camera with a built-in flash and Polaroid
600 Land film - measures light from the subject and blends it with the right
amount of flash for beautiful pictures, indoors and outdoors. ln strong sunlight, the flash adds just enough l¡ght to soften harsh shadows.
The camera's built-in electronic flash unit lifts up for picturetaking, folds
down for carrying ease. The flash is designed to be used for every picture -
outdoors and indoors. lt charges automatically in about 3 seconds every
time you load film into the camera when the flash unit is raised, when you
have taken a picture, when you raise the flash unit with film already in the
camera, or when you simply touch the shutter button.
The CL version of the instant camera is virtually identical to the 635, but comes with an additional close-up lens. This allows pictures to be taken at a distance of 0.6 to 1.2 meters from the subject.

Camera powered by electronic batteries included in film
    TO LOAD AND REMOVE FILM
Use Polaroid 600 color film only. Other polaroid films w¡ll not fit into or work with
this camera. The high-energy battery built into every film pack powers both the camera
    and thé electronic flash.
    TO TAKE THE PICTURE
Use flash for every picture, indoors and outdoors. Stand at least 60cm 12 ft. from your subject. Indoors and at n¡ght outdoors, the flash range is: 60cm - 4.25m (2 - 14 ft).
Look through the viewfinder and frame your picture.
You will see a red light on the back of the flash unit while the flash ¡s charging.
A green light on the back of the flash unit will come on to show the flash is ready to fire.
To take a picture, press the shutter button all the way. After you have taken a picture the flash will recharge and the green light wilt come on again in about 3 seconds.
Hold the developing picture by its wide border. While it is developing, keep it out of direct sunlight and inside a warm pocket when the temperature is below 13°C (55°F).
Also, when the temperature is below 13°C (55°F), keep the camera and film warm.
    THE CLOSE-UP LENS
To use, slide the lever to the 0.6 - 1.2m (2- 4ft) setting. The oval frame which is now visible in the viewfinder serves as a reminder that the close-up lens is in place.
When your subject's head fills the frame you are at the correct distance for a close-
up. For close-ups of small children, objects, or more than one person, keep the oval frame ¡n place but measure the 0.6 - 1 .2m (2 - 4 Ft.) d¡stance someother way.
Use the full viewfinder area not the oval frame to frame the picture. When you have finished using the close-up lens, return the lever to the 1.2m - (4 ft.) setting. Lowering the flash unit will also slide the lever back autornatically.
Classic 600 instant film is hardly available today, instead a modern version originally produced by Polaroid Originals is used. It still has a built-in battery, an ISO value of 640 and is available in colour, black and white and various special editions. An important difference to old 600 film: the cartridge contains only 8 instead of the original 10 frames.
Iconic Polaroid square format. Fresh film directly from the source. Made with pride in the Netherlands.
Vintage cameras don’t have a rechargeable battery, so there’s one inside every film pack.
