I get em on eBay. Can search whatever reel you want to upgrade. “Shimano slx carbontex drag washers.” They’re like 10 bucks, usually ship pretty fast. 👊🏽
On the handle? They don’t have bearings in them on this reel, just bushings. I just drop a little oil where the knobs meet the handle for the heck of it, helps a little. I guess you can pop the caps off them also and unscrew them to take them off and make sure there is no sand or anything in them, you could probably even find replacement bearings to replace the bushings if you really wanted to or buy an aftermarket handle like a gomexus that has bearings in the knobs already. 🤙🏽

My slxdc 70 has a click or play in the handle shaft. It’s not smooth to reel at all any more and spins less than yours does when you let it just spin out. I have only used it about 8 times and then my buddy threw it on the ground. Any idea what could fix it ? Id be willing to spend a good bit of $, i know i can order parts for it on their site.

Btw you owe your buddy a slap for that nonsense I think. 🤦🏻♂️😂 Haha but yeah check it all out, make sure there are no broken parts, clean it all up and add some well placed fresh oil and grease, that might be all it needs. 🤙🏽
Cause I don’t own any brother 🤷🏻♂️😂 I’d imagine that the slx dc would be just like taking any other slx model apart though besides the braking system. I’ll have to try and get my hands on one for a video 😊🤙🏽
@ Yes the braking system is different but after opening my Slx dc I see that the DC braking system comes off all in one piece with 3 screws but it was scary taking it off lol I thought for sure I was going to ruin it but thankfully I didn’t!
@ The bearing is under the DC braking system that’s why I had to take it off. I wanted to wipe off the bearing and oil it and clean out the space the bearing sits in

How do you remove the knobs to oil the bearings inside? I have 2 brand new ones and they feel sluggish when reeling slow

@ Hahaha nice yeah I probably wouldn’t mess with it, I usually just take care of the bearing if there is one on the side plate and move on 🤙🏽
