I TRIED HAWAIIAN SILKY ACTIVATOR GEL ON MY NATURAL HAIR!

Hi, I've been using Hawaiian silky activator on my natural hair for 10 years. Before I had a wave neuvo chemical wave. I love it and still love it. I have 4c hair and it's the only product that helps define my curls. I've tried many different combos and have had many trial and errors. So I saw you spraying water before applying. You don't need to because it actually makes your hair LESS defined. It's best to fully towel dry you hair,then put it all over you hair. Then let it dry a little then reapply. Do not use any leave in conditioner it has a chance of leaving white residue on your hair and the Hawaiian silky doesn't have the same effect. I twist my hair. The next day I repeat the process. By the third day with 1 more application my hair is super defined. I wash my hair only 1 to 2 times a month. Because it takes so much moisture out of Mt hair. The spray you got is a great refresher because after the initial first 3 days you only have t apply the gel once a week or your hair becomes very sticky. So use the spray to refresh. And believe our not what works incredible well without and white residue is the argan hair lotion or argan 4 in one both by Lusti sold at dollar tree. It works so good that I find it a must to use in combination with my Hawaiian silky. My curls look so good that people think I have a chemical wave, a wig, or naturally 3c curly hair. I have been told that I'm lying about it not having chemicals or a wig. I guess it's a compliment in a way but also an insult. Dark skin 4c sistas can't have pretty long curly hair. My hair is past bra strap length. I don't care about shrinkage anymore. As long as my hair is healthy..right now it shrinks to right at My shoulders...I know this video is old but maybe you or another person will try what I just wrote. It will change you life and keep your hair moisturized enough to achieve thick, long, 4c hair. God bless

It’s funny because I kind of gave up on this product, but now that I have this to use for guidance I will definitely try again! Your hair sounds BEAUTIFUL!! I’m trying to get where you are!! You don't need to wet ur hair to apply an activator gel. It's originally for gheri curls but it works great as a moisturizer n for natural curl patterns. No need to diffuse, it will stay moisturized just let it air dry

I love it. I started using it during the jerri curl days for my curls, now I use it on my natural curls and it keeps my curls moist and yummy looking.
My hair texture is similar to yours. I two strain twist mine and pin it down until it drys, and that minimizes the shrinkage.

Yea the s curl does have a stickiness but it does go away. I feel like my curls were more poppin with the scurl though lol

Just tried it as my first wash and go. I really didn't like it once it dried. Like at all. It's not greasy like it says but there was no crispness which is what I think I wanted. I tried to stretch with heat and still wasn't feeling it so I kept it under a cap for the past week and today I'm singing a new tune. The curls really held even though my hair was extremely soft. I do think I'll like it more once my hair grows out a little but just came to leave my little review. Oh also paired it with xtreme gel which idk probably caused most of the flakes. Sheesh.
