also experiment with different styles/aesthetics. you dont have to stick with the city girl aesthetic all the time. if you ask me, black women look better in other aesthetics anyways. lululemon, cottage core, y2k nollywood, 90s supermodel, etc

also start following pretty blck girls . stop following non blk women just bc thats whats popular. how are you suppose to see your beauty when youre looking at blue eyes blonde hair becky or biracial jazmine. when i replaced all these influencers with blck ones, my perception of beauty changed. i stopped believing that we were ugLy. on pinterst i pinned women like anok yai, adut akech, y2k nollywood actresses (im african so this really helped me), and many more.

Yeah. I do the same on Pinterest. I save photos of black women on my Pinterest. I’m brownskin so I save pictures of brownskin and darkskin women.

In my opinion emphasising on not following MIXED darkskin women too, they are on channels saying they hate us 😭 we should focus on monoracial darkskin beauties

or just recognize that beauty is beauty. not following beauty standards at all will make you appreciate beauty in all its forms

@@Ribbib-ck6sq I’ve seen that on them exoticalls channels. I think they are saying that to make themselves feel better about themselves. Cause since they are of darker complexion colorism does come in the mix. I mean black ppl do this thing where they their mixed because they find being mixed is better than being monoracial. thing. Maybe it gives them a superiority complex or something.

This is the first time I’ve see a video on pretty privilege with dark skin black women as the thumb nail. I gotta say, people are just sleeping on how good dark skin women look.

*STOP FIGHTING, I stopped fighting my features, height, weight, hair texture and I go with what works. I see that most often than not, people aren't unattractive, they are mis/styled. For example, I have almond/hooded eyes, so I stopped wearing full lashes and the 1/2 that I wear, people have given me endless compliments.*

    Here is what I do:
    - Skincare routine which includes daily use of sunscreen to protect against darkening hyperpigmentation; retinol at night to keep my skin fresh, youthful and even followed by moisturiser
    - PRP injections to thicken out my hairline (I recommend this if you have mild traction alopecia; it works...just be sure thinning is caused by traction and not health)
    - I curl the fringe of my 4c natural mini braids with flexi rods or perm rods and use the curls to frame my face
    - I use Pearl Drops toothpaste because it is suitable for keeping your teeth bright, but I am currently looking at teeth whitening strips to take it to the next level and push the beauty mark of my gap teeth even further
    - line my lips with black to give nollybabe energy and also increase facial contrast as this increases attractiveness; lightly darken my eyebrow for the same reason
    - I use microfiber mascaras to get long lashes when I want them because my lashes are short. Other times, I embrace my short lashes and do dark eyeliner on my waterline. This seems to be a makeup behaviour that is popular among West African women and makes the eyes incredibly powerful and striking
    - Sometimes, I draw a beauty mark somewhere above my top lip to draw attention to my lips because they are luscious
    - dangly earrings, I feel like they create symmetry
With love from a fellow babe x

Be careful with whitening strips. Some can cause teeth sensitivity to cold and hot foods over time.

I like to dress how I like instead of following trends. I had a wig stylist/makeup artist do my makeup like an “IG BADDIE” and I looked HORRENDOUS…And she posted it 🥲 I look a lot better doing natural makeup looks and I get lots of compliments. I wish more people would move away from the IG baddie makeup looks because it doesn’t work for everyone. I had a wider gap so I asked for braces as a teen. Ended up looking like a chipmunk (and the retainer HURT). Now I have a smaller gap. I’m looking for more 4c wigs/clip ins while I grow mine out because it looks like my actual hair (and it looks great with my baby face). Despite being an aspiring actress, I really want to maintain my appearance while being authentic to myself. I fear they’ll try to get me to change my nose, but hopefully not. I’m learning to be comfortable with my appearance without comparisons because I was bullied for my appearance by boys and a few girls, but I’ve been getting model comments since middle school. I’ve also dealt with a lot of secret animosity from girls I thought were friends who didn’t reciprocate. I’m just focused on being comfortable with myself, doing what I love, and helping to pave the way for brown/dark skinned black girls & women. Of course, I’m still scratching the surface when it comes to my career goals, but that’s my plan🙏🏾❤️
I’ll be practicing the camera tip as well. I definitely need to get used to being in front of a camera and loving what I see for personal and career sake!✨

Aww babe sorry to hear that you went through that 🥺 I’m glad you’re thinking positively and how you can improve yourself which shows you’re taking life into your own hands 🙌🏾 When you become an actress , continue to stay true to yourself . This applies to every facet in life , don’t do anything you know feels wrong because 9/10 times you’ll end up regretting it if you end up doing it .

I also think that korean style makeup really compliments black women because of how soft it looks!

I love my gap, and I always get compliments on it.
Some of my favorites when it comes to my body skincare are dry brushing, African net sponge, black soap, glycolic acid, and vitamin c washes and lotions, body oil, and sunscreen.
My face is basically the same routine minus the dry brushing and the net sponge. I've also created my own lil lash serum that has been doing wonders for my lashes and brows. Like I really gotta tell somebody! 😅
Castor Oil, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Panax Ginseng. Mix it up, dip in a spooly brush, and apply to your lashes and brows. My lashes are so thick and long and my brows are bushier than ever! 🤗💗✨️
