Great job. Dont know anything about sailboats and windsurf masts.. But if the mast is 50 mm at the buttom, and it needs to be able to rotate. You could put a 50 mm stainless ballbearing there in a support structure . Inside the mast you could glue a 40 mm stainless tube. Sticking 20-40 cm out of the buttom. And ending in a mast foot with a 40 mm bearing.. That way you would not need that high mounted support.

Pretty cool concept is the structure all mave from standard schedule 40 or 80 PVC from the hardware store like Home Depot?

Yes .. but i would use wood next time or aluminium.

@@arnauddecotterHello! What's wrong with this design? Insufficient strength or size? And what is the outcome of this project?
It seemed to me that the diameters were not 80 and 40, but 90 and 50, did I guess right?

@user-th4jk2jx8b I honestly can remember. But I would not do this again out of pvc.. as it's will break under too much wind.. and aluminium frame would probably be better.

@user-th4jk2jx8b there was nothing wrong with the design only that the sail cannot fulling rotate like on a surf board.. also only use the center board.. no rear fins. Otherwise rudder won't be very effective

Great idea. What is your top speed?

Well that depends on the wind.. I think i was around 5 kts.. the pvc eventually had a crack due to the sail catching on the side poles.. but the concept was good.
