Mr Nahta, a really good interview. Though the rest of my comments are towards Mr Agarwal; albeit my family is into film exhibition. Mr Agarwal is simply enjoying and exploiting his company being in monopoly in digital projection in India. UFO's charges are not less and the schemes he is offering now require minimal effort and maybe 5 minutes' planning on the part of UFO. If any other player were to enter the digital projection and so challenge this monopoly, let's see how soon the "minimum" charges would then become "maximum" and UFO would itself be clammering over its head to readily offer these "schemes" to distributors/exhibitors without Mr Agarwal's condescending and seemingly magnanimous attitude. Mr Nahta, I repeat nothing against you (you are an exemplary figure in this Industry and a gem of a person); but even you will admit I am right even if you do not accept say so in public. Thanks
I really appreciate your vision for devloping Indian Cinema Economy business after the lockdown it's very appreciative thinking just wanted to mention some few points if u will work on this in your idea 1)Multiplex Chain will not suffer that much becoz they always have a percentage share bases with the producers and distributors of the film 2)Make this idea for Single Screen Theaters more flexible becoz they cannot survive the cost that distbutor takes them from weekly bases for example suppose Baaghi 3 and Angreji Medium If distbutor asks for 1 lakh rs for movie like Baaghi 3 in a single Screen Theaters in a Rural Area for 2 weeks so then single Screen Theaters Owner will already get in loss if the content is not good and if audience is coming by on the name of the film they will only come 3 days Friday, Saturday and Sunday after this if the content is not good then the Single Screen Theaters Owner will suffer almost 40,000-50,000 loss in the movie so make this thing more easier flexible and thinking about the Single Screen Theaters Owner for their benefit 3) Small New Content movie like Angreji Medium this small budget movie might be good in content but becoz of the new actors the audience comes less in Single Screen Theaters so take less money on per day basis aur give them percentage basis on the movies like them so it will be good for both the parties if the content is good both the parties will earn good money 4) still now Single Screen Theaters don't have 2K Projection for them so they can't run Hollywood content which is good for their business in dull days so pls give 2K Projection on minimum rental basis so they can run Hollywood content also
