Hey Bush; love this video. I got to fish in the Beaverkill when I was 13 years old on a family trip around the USA from our home in California. . More recently (let's say 65 years later) my daughter lives in Beacon NY, about a hour and a quarter drive from Roscoe and I've been able to fish in the Beaverkill and Esopus Creek and Willowemoc Creek on visits to see her and my grandsons. I agree, the Catskills are lovely in many ways- beautiful waters, forests, history and little towns. I've been to the Catskills Fly Fishing Center twice, once about 6 years ago when my friend Lance Hidy's father Pete Hidy (author of the classic The Art of Tying the Wet Fly and Fishing the Flymph) was inducted into the fly fishing Hall of Fame there and more recently when Lance gave a lecture about some of the best known Catskills fly tiers. Bought some great tying materials at the Dette Fly Shop in LIvingston Manor on that trip. Your videos are some of the best fly fishing videos around; always full of great information, some humor, and nice catching scenes but without a lot of hype. Keep up the good work. I'd love to run into you sometime and meet on Putah back here in CA.
I got that map at Nest Egg on Main Street in Phoenicia. If you go to their website and click on the Products link in the menu there's a photo of it under the heading "Toys & Games" (don't ask me why)), right above "Candy & Food." I couldn't get to a place where I could buy it from the website, so may have to email or call them, or swing by if you're in the area. Good luck!
@@abushinthewoods That's great to know. Phoenicia is only about 12 miles from where I live. I'll pick up one next week. Thanks again. Mucho appreciated
