That scan tool is too much bullshit to wade through for me no thanks. No patience to fight for 30 minutes setting up, handing them my personal information so they can spam the shit out of me and them forcing me to pay them for the privilage. My uncle in law just bought a truck similar year and model as this one Laramie lone star. He told me that his turbo digital gauge isn't work. The truck was deleted but not sure if that could cause the turbo gauge to work or not. Any suggestions?
How do you think this would work on a 7.3 Powerstroke? I bought mine last year and it was fine until 2 weeks ago with an intermittent no start. No codes. I saw one of your videos about the ICP sensor and that turned out to be the problem ( I hope). I want to get a scan tool to keep in the truck that can read the high pressure oil values (idk the names).. I was a heavy equipment tech for 5 years but never touched a heui system until this truck.
The only issue I've really ran into personally with the Cummins engines as of late is the DEF pump likes to burn out for one reason or another. Kind of annoying to do but not terrible. Not related to the DEF system, but to the DPF, we have an active recall out for I think at least 2023 possibly 2024 I can't remember, but we have to install a Soot sensor into the end of the DPF, there is a 24mm or 15/16" bung that comes out and you install the soot level sensor and a module on top of the DPF.
Afternoon I have a 2001 f250 7.3 I have a issue where it cranks and do t start,this is what i have done to it.. new hpop,new valve cover gaskets,fuel tank mod,new oem in frame fuel pump,new oem ipr,icp,exhaust sensor,map sensor,new oem fuel bowl with spring mod,new upper wiring harness new fuel pedal i have not done a head test to see if injectors has bad orings also i put a rebuilt pcm i used a obd11 with my phone cranking the icp says 482 and ipr 65% but wont start,70 psi at fuel bowl. I hope you can help ive followed you for awhile.
I agree -- if you can't recreate the issue; all you can do is erase the codes and keep driving it and hopefully it will break completely or stop being an issue....... Also, if you just drive these trucks hard under load, it will run it's own "regen" while you're driving it. It just typically takes a good 20 minutes highway drive while towing a big trailer, etc. and it will burn/ clean out the filter by doing an auto regen function during the trip.
@@StephenCox. He seems to have a full time job now pushing right to repair. He collaborates with people like you all the time. He has a computer repair shop in Austin should not be hard to find him that way.

Question Friend Why doesn’t a company start working to make emissions aftermarket components for the future. Like a new diesel exhaust with band clamps so that you can disconnect pieces of the exhaust. Or invent EGRs that actually work and perform correctly. Instead of deletes, why not improve the emission systems. I get it. There are Non Street legal Race Trucks that would never want to run emissions. May be a market? Who knows, my 7.3 has no issues other than that dang EBPV chunk of butterfly mess in the turbo exhaust side which is now deleted.

My uncle in law just bought a truck similar year and model as this one Laramie lone star. He told me that his turbo digital gauge isn't work. The truck was deleted but not sure if that could cause the turbo gauge to work or not. Any suggestions?

How do you think this would work on a 7.3 Powerstroke? I bought mine last year and it was fine until 2 weeks ago with an intermittent no start. No codes. I saw one of your videos about the ICP sensor and that turned out to be the problem ( I hope). I want to get a scan tool to keep in the truck that can read the high pressure oil values (idk the names).. I was a heavy equipment tech for 5 years but never touched a heui system until this truck.
If all you need to do is read data from a 7.3 I'd get an elm327 adapter from Amazon and download the torque pro app

The only issue I've really ran into personally with the Cummins engines as of late is the DEF pump likes to burn out for one reason or another. Kind of annoying to do but not terrible. Not related to the DEF system, but to the DPF, we have an active recall out for I think at least 2023 possibly 2024 I can't remember, but we have to install a Soot sensor into the end of the DPF, there is a 24mm or 15/16" bung that comes out and you install the soot level sensor and a module on top of the DPF.

I have a 2001 f250 7.3
I have a issue where it cranks and do t start,this is what i have done to it.. new hpop,new valve cover gaskets,fuel tank mod,new oem in frame fuel pump,new oem ipr,icp,exhaust sensor,map sensor,new oem fuel bowl with spring mod,new upper wiring harness new fuel pedal i have not done a head test to see if injectors has bad orings also i put a rebuilt pcm i used a obd11 with my phone cranking the icp says 482 and ipr 65% but wont start,70 psi at fuel bowl. I hope you can help ive followed you for awhile.

I agree -- if you can't recreate the issue; all you can do is erase the codes and keep driving it and hopefully it will break completely or stop being an issue....... Also, if you just drive these trucks hard under load, it will run it's own "regen" while you're driving it. It just typically takes a good 20 minutes highway drive while towing a big trailer, etc. and it will burn/ clean out the filter by doing an auto regen function during the trip.
I echo, if Stephen does not know Louis Rossmann, he needs to - he is in Austin now and big in right to repair
I know of him but have never met him. I'd love to though.

Why doesn’t a company start working to make emissions aftermarket components for the future. Like a new diesel exhaust with band clamps so that you can disconnect pieces of the exhaust. Or invent EGRs that actually work and perform correctly. Instead of deletes, why not improve the emission systems. I get it. There are Non Street legal Race Trucks that would never want to run emissions. May be a market? Who knows, my 7.3 has no issues other than that dang EBPV chunk of butterfly mess in the turbo exhaust side which is now deleted.
