Probably one of the MOST influential bands of the 80s & seriously UNDERRATED. RIP Mark Hollis a genius of his time. So many great tracks to pick from. Thanks for the reaction as always.
COME ON MAN! You english speeking folks with your "underrated"-bubu! As far as I know this band has never ever been UNDERRATED! Unless you tell me wich moron did the rating. 🤣
Adogg, this is one of the greatest (and most unsung) groups of all time. Mark Hollis's voice is like no other. It drips like honey into your ear. If you delve further into their list, I HIGHLY recommend "Give It Up", "Such a Shame", "Life's What you Make It" and especially the Live version of "Tomorrow Started". That last one is one of my favorites of all time, and it tears my heart out everytime I hear it.
Usually, singers go lighter on the big notes when they're live in concert to preserve their vocal chords. Kudos to him for going all in in this performance, he sounded just like he does on the studio version. Such a great 80's classic.
I love this song since the first time I heard like 40 years ago....I fell n love with this song and the video was excellent......he is being missed a lot
YES, MY VERY SAME REACTION. When I first heard this. I NEW that reaction was about to come from u. This was & still is my JAM. JAM ON MY BROTHER, JAM ON.
Hey bro love your reaction when I first heard this song many moons ago I felt the same way this song is just badass I'm glad you discover new music you love and it's was new for me when I heard Rap and R&B for the first time I'm glad we all know great music when we hear it we all enjoy a well great music no MATTER WHAT GENRE!! I SALUTE ALL YOU REACTINIST.
Yes it’s great music and they sound incredible live which is 🔥. They have a ton of hidden gems 💎 in the first two albums you really can listen to them front to back and get some amazing 80s songs that are fresh. Such a shame…Today…talk talk….Candy….have you heard the news(kinda in line with today)…life’s what you make of it. Those are all good songs if you like talk talk
It’s so cool how we all have such strong memories of this song! Mine is that I was about 9 years old and it was the song I played on loop in a place called Chaco Canyon for the summer because my dad had a job there. Look up Chaco Canyon if you don’t know it because it’s such a juxtaposition to the modernity of the song.
Hi Adogg, I LOVE your channel; you bring fun into my work life! It's so much fun watching your face as you listen to these songs, and, of course, I love to sing along. Ok, next, David Bowie! I think you'd love some of his music, some of his older stuff, like his album Young Americans, Low, etc. Anything by him, actually. He was an all-around artist. He sang, played instruments, wrote songs, performed in a theatrical way, and painted. Thanks!
Well, you could listen to their song "Talk Talk." it's funny to think of Casey Kasem saying, "Here's Talk Talk with the single 'Talk Talk' off their album (eponymously named) TALK TALK!
Talk Talk was a fantastic young band. The whole album this song is on is pure magic. I highly suggest you also check out their songs Such a Shame, Life's What You Make It, and Living in Another World. All top shelf stuff.
I just love watching you enjoying this. This old lady had that look on her face the first time heard this song back in the day...always been a favorite. I hate the No Doubt version. LOL Mark Hollis, my love rest in peace :)
One of my parents favourite bands, so I've been fortunate enough to be marinated in this incredible music almost my whole life. So excited for more reactions of them from you ❤️🤗

I feel sorry for your generation, you missed so much great music from the 80's, a lot still being played on 80's stations but a lot has been forgotten it seems.

@@paulhenderson8201 Exactly! I was about to comment the same thing. Both versions are great, but this is the one I grew up listening to. I think I was 11 when it came out.
@@Katehowe3010 I’m not sure if you’re calling me a millennial, because I said both versions are great or if you’re calling “OG Mike” a millennial, because he thought No Doubt did the original, but I’m 48 yrs old. Either way, I personally like both versions, but I prefer Talk Talk’s version. I understand why you may not like the cover though. Those of us who grew up on this music are taken back to a different time in our lives when we listen to it.
@@Gina-dl6qs Mike was just an extremely uneducated music fan. How could he possibly think the song belonged to No Doubt when he looks about 60? And then he claims it was written by Gwen Stephanie? Come on mate, get your brain in gear!
Mark Hollis’s voice is incredible, one of the Best Ever, no auto tune, one of the if not the most underrated bands of the 80’s

Life's What You Make It would be the next one. God bless you for your comments about a unique English band. RIP Mark.
Something about Mark Hollis' voice was just so beautiful, so personal & intimate yet ecstatic & inspirational. RIP Mark.
I've always said it - Mark's voice drips like honey into your ears. It's beautiful.

It's Haunting but has a great beat
It’s a keeper. The band is the real deal, live especially. Check them out!
I always like the smile on your face when you're digging a song. Talk Talk is another song. You will like it for sure.
This is quintessentially 80s. My absolute favorite 80s song.
Hollis's voice was seductive.
Really happy you like this New Wave gem from early 1980s. Always brings a tear to eye.
Hello from the UK I'm glad this one made you happy-me too! take care Steve
Spirit of Eden from Talk Talk. Brilliant.
This is totally 80's. Taken me way back. Awesome!
Lee Harris the drummer is brilliant too.

The one thing I love most about your channel is that you react to live versions of these songs....just raw talent, no post production, pure magic!
SO GREAT you Love it! Def Put the Studio Version on your Playlist! Gwen Stefani had a hit with a cover of this song in the 90's.
Great reaction! Keep it going.
Great to hear you love this classic.
Try “talk talk-new grass” its wow! Also liking that breakdown makes me think you’d love some ‘talking heads’!
I remember this song. I really like it.
Love talk talk, Mark Hollis was such a talented singer songwriter
Such a shame is my favorite on this album
The band No Doubt covered this song. I'm very picky about cover songs and I have to admit I like both versions.
Check Flock of Seagulls
Talk Talk "Talk Talk (song title)" OR "Such a Shame"
Check out the song Life Is What You Make It by Talk Talk, my mantra for life.
Mark Hollis had a short life.... but a Major impact!!

You probably heard no doubts cover. You should listen to ‘such a shame’ by talk talk.
Gwen stefani did a cover of this in the 90s but this is the original version
If anyone has a copy of the No Doubt version……burn it !!!
If you go down a Talk Talk rabbit hole, it's only gonna enrich your life, brother.
RIP Mark, cheers mate
Bro this song is a worldwide hit 😊
Fun 80s song recommendation:
Huey Lewis and the News 'Heart and Soul'
This was good but watch the official music video. If you like this, check out Depeche Mode, The Smiths, The Cure, etc. ❤
Great response, but it's a pity you weren't able to use the "official video" for this song.
If this concert would had been recorded digitally as Stop Making Sense, it would be very hard to choose one or the other. Great show though.
I do like the radio/album version the most but the live is fun.
Another song by talk talk is called talk talk! A really great song! This song was remade by Gwen Stefani.
Ruined would be closer to the truth!
“Talk Talk” by; Talk Talk :)
this is another good live version but the best version imo is the live version from Montreux....try that one
This song was an anthem for marginalized people who are persecuted by the status quo!
Amazing live!
Listen to the Smiths. Headmaster rituals awesome. Awesome
Welcome to the 80s
The band No Doubt (Gwen Stefani) did a cover of this song. But this original is best.
