    An excellent video. I needed to place slots around a circular lid. I'm very new to 3D modelling so I had absolutely no idea whatsoever. However, following your video, I achieved a perfect result. I had to go back over parts of the video a few times, but that's just a learning curve and no reflection on your video. Thank you so much for the brilliant content, it really is very much appreciated.

      Great to hear that you have already found a use for it. And thank you for sharing what you have used the video for. Always like to see what application they have been used for. Thank you so much for the kind words of support 😊😊

      @@MangoJellySolutions You have a very calm and concise manner in the way you present your videos which makes the learning process that much simpler and the videos more engaging. I am most grateful for the content you produce, thank you.

    A very powerful lesson. I learned to make my own threaded screw holes before I knew the program could do it for me. Polar pattern is a game changer.

    Thank you so much for those videos. Really enjoying the practical approach and that you show where everything is and dont just use keyboard shortcuts during those educational videos :)

      Your very welcome. I know what you mean about the keyboard shortcuts. I have had enough of that with blender tutorials :(. Glad your enjoying :)

    Would be nice to have a chamfer feature when selecting the thread option.

    I’ve watched almost all of these videos and they’re great (just need to watch this one and finish watching #15). The thing I’m still struggling with is making changes to models I’ve made. I basically have to make everything in one go like the videos or it’s hell trying to change constraints around. I’m glad I’m able to make stuff but I thought the advantage of cad over blender was the ability to change parameters and have it auto update 😭
    Also the thumbnails for videos #11 and #12 have the thumbnail for #10 right now

      @MangoJellySolutions  7 днів тому +1

      Thank you for the heads up regarding the thumbnails, I really appreciate that. Not sure what happened there! You should be able to change the underlying parameters with ease. There were problems with TNP issues but this has been mitigated in v1. What issues are you having?

      @ nevermind, I went back and tried it and it seems to work for the arcade button patterns I copied from slag coin’s cad diagrams. The movement buttons don’t auto update because I didn’t have a diagram for that and made bad constraints but I think I can redo it with similar constraints to the cad diagram for action buttons and it will work.
      Also I think I’ll put the action buttons and the movement buttons into their own little construction geometry rectangle so it’s easy to drop the sketch into different face plate positions

    Great Tutorial! Thank you! But... at 06:14 and after, I am not sure if the two parallel lines will be also 2mm away from each other (distance of a 90° line between them) as you constrained the distance on an angled line. Or I forgot something learned at school or missing something else here? :-)

    Hi Darren, thanks for the excellent content, just one silly thing, you have a typo in the Paypal description, I guess I'm so concentrated on your videos not to miss any of your truly brilliant tutorials that see that little extra letter every time :$

    What if you need to place a sketch to non planar part of the revolution but not right at the seem? Thanks!

    • @MangoJellySolutions
      @MangoJellySolutions  7 днів тому

      There are other attachment methods you can use by referencing other edges or offsetting from the base plane. As long as you can reference something like a set of vertices or edges then you can get your sketch into position. In the previous video (18) I went through some of these so they may help you with your question. I will try to add in more examples as I progress through the series.

    Freecad sucks. Why so complicated

    • @MangoJellySolutions
      @MangoJellySolutions  8 днів тому +1

      You will it's pretty much the same workflow as in other CAD programs.

      @MangoJellySolutions no its not. I took opinion from the way you were creating hole. It make so confusing.
