Monocultures have degraded the soil in Argentina's Pampas region
Argentinian farmers, or gauchos, are working with conservationists to revive the region’s complex ecosystem. They are also offering bird watching trips and riding tours in the vast open landscape.

I live in a city in the middle of the Pampas region, in the center of the province in Buenos Aires. Whenever I can, I try to go out to the country and go birdwatching. There are so many bird species and they're all fascinating.
