En el Caló de Ses Dones (Camp de Mar) la Delegación del Gobierno desoye las protestas de los vecinos de Camp de Mar y el mes de Diciembre pasado, completó los trabajos para reducir a escombros el antiguo embarcadero de la playa de ses Dones; una zona de baño muy popular. La intervención a cargo de Demarcación de Costas ha contado con gran oposición vecinal articulada mediante una campaña de recogida de firmas, una manifestación y hasta la aprobación en el pleno del Ajuntament d’Andratx de una moción contraria a la demolición. Nada de esto parece haber importado a Costas que no ha dado un paso atrás en su intención de desmantelar el viejo muelle. Un matrimonio de británicos que hace dos décadas veranea en Camp de Mar quedó sorprendido por la intervención. Según fuentes municipales, cuando el Consistorio tuvo conocimiento del futuro que iba a correr el muelle, la adjudicación del contrato de derribo ya estaba muy avanzada y prácticamente no se podía hacer nada para abortar el proyecto.
In Caló de Ses Dones (Camp de Mar) the Government Delegation ignored the protests of the residents of Camp de Mar and last December, completed the work to reduce the old pier on Ses Dones beach to rubble; a very popular bathing area. The intervention by the Demarcation of Coasts has had great opposition from residents articulated through a campaign to collect signatures, a demonstration and even the approval in the plenary session of the Ajuntament d'Andratx of a motion contrary to the demolition. None of this seems to have mattered to Costas, who has not taken a step back in his intention to dismantle the old dock. A British couple who vacationed in Camp de Mar two decades ago were surprised by the intervention. According to municipal sources, when the Consistory learned of the future that the pier was going to run, the award of the demolition contract was already well advanced and practically nothing could be done to abort the project.
