Thank you so much for this video! So happy you are not only bringing attention to this often overlooked medical problem, but giving advice on how to exercise with it!
Diagnosed with microvascular disease last year but exercise limited due to severe hip arthritis. Had hip replacement now. Fantastic to find Richards videos for both conditions! Will follow with great determination.
I started off on a kito diet after i had my stent put in and was doing really well till i started craving for processed foods and fizzy drinks, after three weeks i noticed i put on a few pounds i started having angina attacks which made me a bit scared I will make sure to keep to kito this time, I will start following these procedures I know these exercise guidlines will 100% help me...i understand you were a Exercise Specialist since 1997, thank you Richard❤
thank you for making all the videos for patients who really don't know how to start once diagnoses. I was diagnosed with micro vasospasms about 3.5 years ago and treated with meds a light exercise. Not only am i not improving, I've been getting worse. After another cath, first thought LVEF issues, but then next day said maybe it was Broken Heart Syndrome. In disgust, I saw a highly rated Cardiologist In CT, who feels it looks more like HCM, based on findings in the Echo. Now going to see a specialist in HCM in NYC on Monday. I don't know what i hope to find out, but only authorized to walk until my echo and visit Monday. Sorry for too much information, but i really am looking forward to viewing more of your videos after next week. Thank you for all you do.
@@ExerciseForHealth thank you for your reply. I saw the Director of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy at Columbia yesterday. I do have oHCM and will be starting a new treatment plan, including Camzyos, a bit scary.
@@mdcvalentine Hello, I’m in the same boat as you!! so frustrating!! my symptoms begin in 2013 and had my first heart cath in 2016. Normal findings on cath, ekgs and stress tests. Was basically told it was all in my head and it was not heart related. 🙄 Through my own research, I have found there are limited doctors that specialize in microvascular heart issues. Basically I can attend Mayo Clinic in Ohio or go to Los Angeles to see a doctor that specializes there. I probably will do one of those two. (Luckily I am an airline employee and have free flights so I can go anywhere for treatment) Wishing you the best of luck on your trip to New York. I would be very interested in what you were told at that appointment if you care to reply. But I certainly understand if not…. Best of luck to you!
@@cambridgema73 HCM is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, obstructive and non-obstructive. Update is I do have obstructive HCM and am starting my third month taking Camzyos. Fortunately, it’s working really well and now can do more strenuous exercises.
Thank you for this very helpful video. I could listen to your British (?) accent all day long. I hope to be incorporating this exercise regimen along with Flow Therapy (Compression for Micro Vascular disease) soon.
Just diagnoses after eight years of significant symptoms. It got triggered in an angiogram . It’s a complex diagnosis- we are trying medications right now !
I think my partner and I have a leg version of this post Covid. He can’t work nearly two months on, just due to the legs. Will be trying your PAD exercises.
Lastweek I was diagnosed with cardia syndrome x . Now on searching Google i found your video. Its highly informative. I was doing yoga for past few years as nd recently stopped. Can i restart again with Surya namaskar?
