    As inventive as Luke is, he should think about inventing something he could sell and get profit from. No pressure on him, he just comes up with so many ideas. Looks like he has a genius idea for the outdoor kitchen roof, Sure hope it works out, Also glad Peppa is better, we all need a change too. The lunch looked so delicious, Waiting to see you next week.

    Wow that is an excellent way to make roofie very good info hope it all works out glad the pig's okay can't wait to see you guys eat some of that yummy bacon coming up a nothing better than a homegrown bacon wish I could have a pig everybody keeps telling me it's not good to have just one pig and I'm living just on the edge of the city not allowed to pig probably could sneak in one pig and put it in a small pen and use the deep bed method now if I got that old 5th wheel that's sitting in my backyard and pulled that out of here that the rats destroyed I could probably get rid of it very easy if I put it out for sale for very cheap but I did put $6000 into it big loss that was wasn't a very nice fifth wheel but it probably has over $1000 worth of tires on it and Meg's don't have a truck to pull it anyway but if I got rid of that I'd have a lot more room to put stuff in the yard but it would make a good nice big chicken coop if I can block the rats from getting in it I have resorted to putting out poison because they're too smart to go in the traps I've watched them on my cameras set the traps off by running over top of them really fast at night and then coming back and eating the bait I've tried all different kinds of traps ratchet is too smart these ones are so big they're the same size as the Chihuahua dog I put my cat in there one time overnight thinking that it would kill the rats heard it screaming the next morning open the door and wouldn't even come to me it was so scared poor cat hiding in the corner underneath the table I had to go in and get it so I've resorted the poison because I'm tired of rats getting up on top of my house even though I've put tin all the way around the house so they can't get up they still get up and get into my attic and they're destroying my house so we have to do what we have to do my neighbor keeps leaving his chicken feet out at night and he does not build the proper cages so the rats keep on coming all my feet goes in at night no feed stays out and all my cages are built out of half inch hardware cloth I think maybe the city's a short catch in their own rats because if the hell wasn't for the city building all the way out to us we wouldn't have rats never had rats before the city got out here

    So happy to see Peppa back up and eating and bullying her future mate, lol!😂 I love watching Luke cook. I try to keep up with ingredients, but he does what I do, open the cabinet, ah, this spice looks good, and frig, ah, soy sauce(to salty for me), oh, white wine, thanks Sarah! Not enough cheese, let's give it another kind!! And I don't know what the Green thing you cooked are! I've seen them in Portuguese videos, but cannot catch the name. Looks like a cross between a Squash/Pumpkin of some sort and a Melon of some sort!!😂😂😂😂 He makes cooking look fun! Oh, that bug butcher cutting knife he has, I but me one and 3 others for Christmas Presents. Though I think one will be used when hunting deer, one will be in a fishing tackle box. And the 3rd is going to my Mom and Sisters kitchen! Let's see how long it stays their with 2 of my sisters sons are still living there, yes, 29 and 35!!! 🤐🤐 ! ! ! I love that knife. It's great for everything. I bought the scabbard and the sanding block too. They had a great deal, it's the only reason I paid that for Christmas presents !!😮😅 Happy the fires didn't affect you. I heard a fireman was killed and people lost their homes! I told someone to soak there lawn with their water hose!! That's what we do! And the shingle roofs burn so quick here. We have strict fire regulations on Dauphin Island. One house can catch fire, the wind picks up and 4 are burnt to the ground!!! I've seen that happen twice!!! Ok, blah, blah....Great video. See ya Monday! Stay safe! ✝️🙏❤🇺🇸🇵🇹👣🍍☘🌻🎶🎶🎶

    Nature knows the answer, animals with naturally fast, or rest their body, look at a dog for example they will look for grass if they feel sick and try and expel toxins, then go off their food for a day or two.. another thing animals do naturally, is morning stretch/ yoga, horses, cows, cats, dogs, and even chickens do it!.. yet many of us forget.. fasting put the body into autophagy, and genetically pigs are very close to us.. she has made vast improvements good luck.

      It started when one of my pigs broke her hip and was not eating and spoon feeding her was the only way she would eat . Then these babies who were very small at the time would want some too . But then it just became something they enjoyed, they have their own bowls but would come to be fed from the spoon too and it is one of the highlights of my day so I kept doing it.😂 They do still eat from their bowls though

    I wish you would explain how you profit from raising pigs. With chickens you get eggs and expect the vet and feed costs are less than the cost of eggs. Do you sell the piglets or eat the pigs or chickens?

    • @lukeandsarahsoffgridlife
      @lukeandsarahsoffgridlife  2 місяці тому +3

      We got the pigs so we can try a technique called Gleying. It is a natural way to seal ponds with pigs. Apparently can also be done with ducks too but the process is slower. Peppa and her babies have been in that enclosure for 5 months now and this is the first year in six years that it didn't go completely dry in June. There isn't much water now, just 3 or 4 little puddles really but definitely kind of working. It should take a year to two if you have 4 full grown pigs ... We will see. Having Peppa get pregnant by the wild boar wasn't planned so we are selling them. Then Alfie , Eddie and Peppa can move there.
