Thank you Eric :) You're very talented yourself. You got some amazing scratch builds my friend. I think I will do another one like this in time. Find a piece of foam and see what I can get out of it. Get creative :) Subbed you! :)
An excellent job! I loved the polystyrene block you had to start with, a very interesting and detailed piece and by the time you had finished the whole thing looked fantastic. Well done!
Thank you. It's amazing what you can make out of things in the house, stare at it long enough and you will get ideas and inspiration and then begin to craft.
I love it. Not just a great project, but a great video as well. The more people scratch-build something, the more it impresses me. I really like the way you reused old materials to make them look like something else. Geat weathering, awesome rivet job! Can't have too many rivets, ever! :) I would like to offer a tip, if I may be so bold. Next time when you build 'flexible pipes' or 'hoses', like the yellow and green ones on top, it helps to imagine what they would look like in real life, because I think they would be laying flat, sagging over the equipment and walkway. Their current pose kind of gives away that they are bendy small tubes (probably? lol). It's a silly detail but I think it would add to the realism. In order to achieve the look of an industrial hose, you can use a thick electric wire with a copper core and bend that into the shape that you need. Perhaps even a nice coil on the walkway before it goes up to the tank.. I know I know. I tend to go overboard on this kind of stuff.... but to be honest, you seem to as well. :) Keep up the good work man!
Hey Bushdoctor68 - Thank you! Also, thanks for the tip. Its appreciated. There is always room to improve. I try to get as close to real as possible, so any tips and advice is always welcome. I will try and bare that in mind for more up and coming builds. I did a Factory warehouse build recently, if you get a chance check that out. Let me know what you think! Thank you!! :)
that's some really impressive production value for such a small channel. keep this up (and let your sense of humor come through more) and you'll be picking up steam and subs like nobody's business.
Thank you for the lovely comment. I really appreciate it. I feel I'm getting more comfortable as time goes on and more confidence with sharing content online. I will work on that. I did a warehouse factory build recently too, let me know what you think. Thank you
This turned out super cool. Very epic build, you can tell just how much work went into this piece. Really hope to see more like this from you in the future 👍
Thank you!! I Appreciate it! I feel terrain should be just as good as the miniatures, so I push myself. Another 40K terrain video will be out next week! There are some behind the scene photos on my patreon.
That was just so amazing and creative to see your scratch build from scavenged items. It was very inventive how you sourced your pieces from so many varied places.
Haha, that's great. That's what happens to me. Something catches my eyes, and I think to myself, wow, I could make such an such out of it. Go for it! See where it leads you and hopefully you will have a beautiful build from it :)
Thank you. Yes, I really enjoyed the switch control box, it was small enough to be the right scale for the build. Laptop parts work well for this size build.
Thank you. Not by trade. I collected arcades for many years, buying broken old cabs and repairing them. Repairing PCB boards and Old CRT monitors etc. Pinballs etc. Self taught. Another hobby.
That piece of foam was perfect for this! Good eye! It turned out great

Thank you Wyloch. :) If you get time, have a look at the factory warehouse build. Hope you enjoy!
Home Bargains gemstones for rivets! I've recently got onto this and it's so much faster than chopping tiny bits of styrene rod
That's a good place to get them at low cost :)
the fan at the front looks like a star and all i can think of is a sci-fi western sheriff office lol great job, love it
Bro I’ve been looking for a simple sci-fi terrain video with easy materials and this nailed it for me!
Looks superb - I keep coming back for another run through.
That polystyrene box liner was such a gift!
Tip top build and paint job, would totally hold up as a movie miniature.
I think adding miniature candles to some of the holes of the lego bar barriers would add some grim darkness to this awesome piece! Just an idea.
I like your thought process. Yes that would look awesome! Some candles / flames would be super cool. Thank you!
Excellent rust effect
Thank you
dat is very detailed!
Thank you.
Love the use of random bitz and even Lego parts, great end results!
Thank you PiZZMAN, Lego parts work well, perfect for 28mm 32mm models and Laptop parts, work well too. I will be doing more 40k Videos in future!

Very true! I do sometimes find it takes a little while to figure it out and suddenly it just strikes and away you go.
@@seanmeadows129 That's it. :)
Fantastic build! Love the creativity you put into "terrain from trash." Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it. I will be doing more of these builds!

very nice build! I just bought 500 doll's eyes off Taobao for rivets on my 40k ruins :)
Awesome work! gives me a few ideas for things to try on my next build.
That was also very cool. 👍🏻
Thank you Paulo, that was my 1st build on the channel. I found items in the house and pushed to see how creative I could get. :)
New subscriber awsome build sir I shall be looking at more of your vids
Love well done homemade terrain, nice work. Subbed.

Great work, love it! Subscribed!
Looking good! The lego pieces you used went well with the project and blended in easily with the rest of the terrain piece
Wow! That looks great!
Fantastic!

3:18 My eyes discover that pencil station (left side) and immediately my brain thinks about making a building out of it :D

Absolutely love this build ! Simple easy and amazing love the colors and the rusting. Got some good ideas from this build. Thanks !👍😎
Thank you David. Glad you liked it! More builds on the channel too for ideas. :)
Great builld! Love the old electronic parts on the front!
Thank you. Yes, I really enjoyed the switch control box, it was small enough to be the right scale for the build. Laptop parts work well for this size build.
Very impressive build 👌
Thank you Richard
Nice build :)
Nice!
At the price of Lego, I'm thinking it could be worth using blue stuff to cast those! :)
Dollar stores sell Lego like bits now. 40-100 pcs for $1-2.
Yse use silacone mold putty
And use something like JB weld cold
Epoxy adhesive cast out great
@@trialsandtribulations7181 yeah... But those are not the pieces you're looking for.
Waou juste ouf gg ^^ ^^ !! !!
Awsome
Very nice build!! Knowing that's a Flyback...you an electronics guru by trade?

@@MiniatureHeroes - MY MAN!!! So do I!! I'm actually opening an arcade here in the western US using my personal collection to populate it.
@@Yoshis_Studio Awww, thats amazing. I hope it works for you. Retro arcades are very popular!
What type of tape did you use to wrap around the tube please? (1:27)
Masking tape - I did not have a narrow strip. It was the standard size tape. So I cut in down the middle for the desired width.
I use Gorrillia Hot Glue
What Brand of paint and Brushes you use
You call it chipboard but that doesn’t look like chipboard. Is it called something else In the UK? Looks like MDF. The piece looks amazing by the way.
Thank you. Its called plywood as-well. MDF is a lot thicker here.
@@MiniatureHeroes so are you not UK based then?
@@jamesfirth-haydon7381 Im based in UK. Its plywood i think.
If you sold this, what would it fetch?
To be honest, I have no idea, its not something I thought about. Do people buy hand crafted terrain?
Aside from the screaming of my inner child at the abuse of Lego, I find it's too recognisable to use in builds. Great looking terrain though ;)
Seems really odd to use pva to glue lego to chipboard... the lego is not porous at all and wont bond well
