SO cute, I love the topstitching on the pleats and how it gives it a corseted feel. Would love to see you add some sort of recycling challenge to the bowl!! (I.e. only thrifted fabric, using thrifted clothes to make something new, that kinda thing)
As someone who hates blue denim, I love this dress and the top stitching helps the eyes go away from all the blue. I would say 9/10 only because I think if there were hidden pockets it would make it a 10.
I LOVE it!!! it's so different from what we usually see you doing, but I can also see your touches very clearly in this. great job, I have no idea how you managed to finish this in a day, it only shows how professional you are. please give us more videos like that! I really enjoyed it.
10 outta 10!! i really loved the top stitching and pleat details! and really appreciate that you included steps that sometimes aren't shown in challenges by other folks like draping/mock up, seam finishing, and even washing your fabric! seeing all these done in one day makes me feel motivated to sew something now!
LOVE the dress (please release it as a pattern!!), and i LOVE the video!!! you should definitely do more of these 1-day challenges (only if you're up for it tho lol), and i think a few good ideas to add to the fishbowl would be: create a look without buying anymore fabric/materials, create a 60's-inspired mod dress, recreate a dress/item from a movie/tv show you like, and make a ren fair look with a huge cape!
Normally I’d be like “a denim dress? 🥴” but this is SO CUTE. And I honestly love seeing that you made mistakes and forgot to add seam allowance and had to alter the design part way through because that is so relateable. ❤
I am so insanely obsessed with this dress! I did not know I needed a denim dress until now ❤ I recently saw a macha-green denim at my local fabric store and this dress is calling to that pattern!
omg absolutely loveeee the editing on this vid!!!! and seeing your step by step process of making this garment (right down to blocking the muslin!) makes me realize how much of a methodical art sewing is!! it made me want to go back to sewing 😅😅 cant wait for future vids 🫶🫶🫶
10/10! I think it would have been really cute with the back cut out to make it a little less heavy too. Love the fishbowl challenge and would love to see more videos like this one!
please more videos like that ❤ amother challenge idea: go to a thrift store, close your eyes and take 1-2 items then upcycle them and create an outfit out of it
Love love love the corset-like pleate in the bodice! I can see myself attempting to make a sleeveless midi-length version of it. Will be on the lookout for a pattern in the future (:
OOO this is a super cute idea, i'm living for the result!! this'd be such a lovely challenge series trying to thrift ur fabrics n material from second hand stores ! 🎀🎀
10:44 Wow you are really skilled ! I just found out, this week, that your channel existed. I’ll keep watching until I’m ready to start using my sewing machine! And YESSS for Black Clover 🤩paused on the TV. I can recognize Yuno anywhere lol
Very cute 10/10. The design is beautiful. I live in a very warm place, so I want to try with a lighter fabric than denim (even though the denim gives it structure and attitude) and with shorter sleeves. Thanks for the inspiration.🎉
I give you a 10! You did amazing! Especially in a short amount of time. The dress turned out beautiful & you look incredible in it. I love the small design details. It’s so simple but intricate at the same time. You’ve inspired me to maybe try something like this or just get back into sewing. I’ve missed sewing and making clothes for so long now. This video brought back memories for me.
I am obsessed with this dress! I know you said you won’t be making a pattern for this so I guess I need to get good enough to be able to drape it myself like you did
I love the vlog style you went for for this video, and the dress turned out to be so amazing literally 12/10😍😍, also would looove to see you try to make a figure skating outfit!
I loved this format!! And I loved this dress, it's vibrant and perfect for spring. I give it a 8 and 1/2 for its simplicity even if I like the design so much
what an excellent video! the dress came out SO good and i love seeing your process as someone who also sews my own clothes. also i really love the editing on this video!
10/10! Love the pleated skirt and how you highlighted the pleats with top stitching. I've never seen a bodice like that before - so cool :) Would love a pattern for this! Definitely more one day (or weekend) make videos - they're fun to watch, and it's reassuring when you mess up because you always fix it, and it gives me hope for myself haha :P
I challenge you to let a child or honestly just anyone who isn't familiar with sewing draw a garment and then you make it as close to their drawing as possible. I saw people at Tasty do this but with food and it's very entertaining
I’d like to see something like the Selkie Cassiopeia Day dress. It doesn’t have any horizontal waist seams. It has a corset like construction but the same pattern pieces vertically from top seam to bottom hem. I haven’t really seen a lot of dresses like that and I’m interested in the construction.
Oh my gosh this is actually so cute. Pattern eventually? ❤
Right I really want THAT dress
I would love to make that dress it’s sooooo cute
I LOVE it as well!! I want that dress!!!!
Please make this a pattern! :)
Yes yes yes!
SO cute, I love the topstitching on the pleats and how it gives it a corseted feel. Would love to see you add some sort of recycling challenge to the bowl!! (I.e. only thrifted fabric, using thrifted clothes to make something new, that kinda thing)
I'm not a big denim fan and was expecting to dislike this, but the finished product is adorable 10/10 I adore the sleeves
As someone who hates blue denim, I love this dress and the top stitching helps the eyes go away from all the blue. I would say 9/10 only because I think if there were hidden pockets it would make it a 10.
Hidden pockets would’ve been IT!
@@KianaBonolloIt's adorable ,just precious ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 10
@KianaBonollo did you use a flat felled seam for the reverse curves in the front bodice? Please help I'm a beginner.
10 out of 10, no question. And I would love this as a pattern!
Yess
I think the longer skirt is more high fashion for paris fashion week, but im obsessed with the outcome, please make it a pattern!!!
10/10!! It's so cute, and bold, but not in a Canadian Tux way, which is just amazing that you achieved that
I LOVE it!!! it's so different from what we usually see you doing, but I can also see your touches very clearly in this. great job, I have no idea how you managed to finish this in a day, it only shows how professional you are. please give us more videos like that! I really enjoyed it.
This is definitely worth a pattern! Would 10/10 make myself. One of my favorite designs from you yet!!
It's refreshing to see you make mistakes and laugh them off! I'm so hard on myself! I need to take a chill pill lol! This was beautiful
10 outta 10!! i really loved the top stitching and pleat details! and really appreciate that you included steps that sometimes aren't shown in challenges by other folks like draping/mock up, seam finishing, and even washing your fabric! seeing all these done in one day makes me feel motivated to sew something now!

Oh girl!!!! You are a BOSS!!! I give it a 10!
It is beyond beautiful. I hope you are super proud of yourself. It looks amazing. You look great!
I love the design! I would definitely make that in another fabric. The colour of the jean material you chose is really pretty too!!
100 on 10 on effort, look, style, creativity and not to mention your courage. I loved the video and your enthusiasm ❤
10000! This is true talent. She has real dedication and loves what she does. She IS Truly Inspiring 😩😍 I hope for the best for her❤️❤️ She’ll be big!
Normally I’d be like “a denim dress? 🥴” but this is SO CUTE. And I honestly love seeing that you made mistakes and forgot to add seam allowance and had to alter the design part way through because that is so relateable. ❤
This dress is SO CUTE and so spring, I’m obsessed!! You never cease to impress me!
I am so insanely obsessed with this dress! I did not know I needed a denim dress until now ❤ I recently saw a macha-green denim at my local fabric store and this dress is calling to that pattern!
So satisfying ! I love it when people tear fabric!!!
Loved the way you edited this video! So happy to see more of your YT content again
Okay 10/10, this dress is everything!! I NEED this pattern😍
omg absolutely loveeee the editing on this vid!!!! and seeing your step by step process of making this garment (right down to blocking the muslin!) makes me realize how much of a methodical art sewing is!! it made me want to go back to sewing 😅😅 cant wait for future vids 🫶🫶🫶
I think some necklaces or some sort of embellishments around the neck with a slick spiky bun would’ve been fun too! I love the look! 10/10
10/10 this dress is INCREDIBLE. I love sewing but have almost no training & haven't been confident enough to give it a real go!
10/10! I think it would have been really cute with the back cut out to make it a little less heavy too. Love the fishbowl challenge and would love to see more videos like this one!
please more videos like that ❤
amother challenge idea: go to a thrift store, close your eyes and take 1-2 items then upcycle them and create an outfit out of it
You sew soooooo well and you did it in a day! My word. Super talented!
Love love love the corset-like pleate in the bodice! I can see myself attempting to make a sleeveless midi-length version of it. Will be on the lookout for a pattern in the future (:
It’s amazing!!! I love it. The final result reminds me so much of Sophie’s dress from Howl’s moving castle (it’s one of my favorite movies)
OOO this is a super cute idea, i'm living for the result!! this'd be such a lovely challenge series trying to thrift ur fabrics n material from second hand stores ! 🎀🎀

I love it. I would love to have one in a longer length. I will have to start sewing again. You did a great job. 10❤
I love denim dresses & this one is so cute!!! You did an amazing job! I would totally buy the pattern! Please do more of these!❤

YESSS I’ve been WAITING for this onee
I love this soooo much! would love a pattern of this, I've made your leather dress pattern before and love these kind of puffy sleeves 🥰
good eye! they look similar because they also both have bishop sleeves too!
omg I actually loved it long and sleeveless. whole different vibe
The dress turned out so cute!! You should do make a dress basic on a randomly selected fabric.
oh I LOVE this idea!!! straight to the fishbowl.
That’s awesome I love it. I’m a fashion designer too and I’m taking some sewing classes right now to help me and soon a fashion school.
Just in loveeeeeeeeeee ❤ This is the kind of outfit I'm not able to afford but definetly try to sew, I'm obsessed, Pleeeeeaseeee sell the pattern! ❤
I'm INLOVE with this dress!!!!
I was pleasantly surprised it’s super cute!
I was hoping for the scrap fabric one so badly but this turned out *aaaammmmaaaazzzziiiinnngggg*
10 out of 10 no questions! I absolutely love this dress ❤
I love the bodice! You should make a pattern with that bodice! Maybe a more wearable sleeveless denim dress? I love what you made! 10/10
love this challenge and that's a really cute dress gorgeous💖
Love love this. But like you I would have loved it in the black! Still amazing! 🤩😍😍😍

The dress came out cute!
10/10! Love the pleated skirt and how you highlighted the pleats with top stitching. I've never seen a bodice like that before - so cool :) Would love a pattern for this! WOAH I LOVE this idea!!!!
With the sleeves, this kind of reminds me of your red leather heartbreaker dress! ❤
I will give it a ten. Cause the colour and the fit awesome
I love this so much!! So creative!! 😍😍 10/10🙌 the top half is my favourite though, I'd love a pattern for it!
Now I want to see all the other challenges that were in the bowl, pleaseeee
This is so freaking cute! Definitely not your typical style though haha you would’ve slayed the black.
Kiaaaaannnaaa!!! That is super cute! Definitely 10/10!!
I’m so happy for more long form vids!!!!
So cool, congratulations ! I’d love to wear one like that :) It’d be great to have a pattern !
So cute 😍
We need a pattern
And maybe adding some pockets in the pleats of the dress?
Oh My Goodness You’re So Cool!!! 🤩🤩 awesome job girlyyy
Pattern please!!! I recently made my own sewing/crochet/embroidery mood board to follow to make clothes and this dress is everything i need in life!
Its perfect😍😍😍 looks so couture!!! You did such a good job💕
this is why we sew relaxed. Fixing mistakes bc you rush is just too annoying. Love the dress!
FR! I much prefer sewing something over a few days perfectly instead of rushed and stressed. And thank you!
I love the fishbowl challenge!!
Beautiful! You should add to fishbowl - bedazzled burning man outfit with faux fur coat 😎
I love it... You did a great job ❤
No way, it’s so gorgeous 😭
I love this so much!!! And please do more!!
I love the cut and the pleats ❤ 10/10
Definitely a 10, I would love to see a patchwork version or possibly a 2pc version?
Love this❤, what was your top stitch settings on the curve part of the top?
Usually I do 3.5 for stitch length for topstitching!
I'm gonna rate this 11. It's so pretty!
LMAO just watching you make this. So much fun!
Challenge to add: use 3+ of your patterns to make 1 outfit in 1 day
I’d like to see something like the Selkie Cassiopeia Day dress. It doesn’t have any horizontal waist seams. It has a corset like construction but the same pattern pieces vertically from top seam to bottom hem. I haven’t really seen a lot of dresses like that and I’m interested in the construction.
When I win the lottery I'm getting a huge sewing room with a cutting table like they have at Jo-ann. And - it is so cute!!! I love it.
