watching all of this and Anthony not mentioning the secret Ceremony set at S&F to them at all is so funny to me, such a great episode! One of my favorites in a while.
Anthony’s summation of why Hardlore got so much traction in its first year is spot on. It is SO FUN to listen to Hardlore!! It’s a “thing”, a weekly event for us. He just said it so beautifully.
I gotta say, these hangout in the hometown style videos are probably my favourite format on this show. It’s just such a cool way to add another dimension to the usual podcast questions. Also as a youtube watcher, and usual non-podcast listener, I like the visual stuff
When I was in Product of Waste I tried my hardest to play drums like Jake. When I switched to guitar I knew that I wanted to write and perform like Anthony but that tuning was so different. Trying to learn their gosh darn albums in E Standard was so hard.
Ceremony playing sound and fury with the Crass intro was the best shit ever. "You are the ultimate pornography in your cuntfear, cockfear, manfear, womanfear, unfair, warfare, warfare, warfare, warfare, warfare, warfare, warfare, warfare! Jesus died for his own sins, not mine!" into Kersed.
That bane have heart tour he discusses- Ceremony, Bane, Have Heart played matinee at the Camden underworld in London in 2007. Really my first proper hardcore show- their set was definitely less busy than the other bands but I genuinely feared for my life- people went OFF. I was blown away by people just stomping around and flying into each other with the lead singer shirtless smashing the mic on his head.
Cool to hear the Resilience shout out. They played some very memorable shows in my city in the 2000s. Fury is one of the few street punk style dudes I knew about who was straight edge, which made me feel like less of an outcast ❌️❎️✖️
i remember meeting anthony in 2004 while on tour. it was a house show. i wanna say the show was with life long tragedy and these days and it was in redding, but its all a blur. aside from it being almost 20 years ago and me being super sick. all i remember is anthony before ceremony and joe saucedo before set your goals.
Shout out to Anthony clocking me in the face like an anvil at Cave 9 on that HH, Blacklisted tour in Bham 2008 when Swamp Thing covered Absentee Debate by Unbroken and the entire venue erupted during the breakdown.
Also I was lucky enough in 1999 my best friend who is a senior I was a freshman early we were listening to Judge and Sheer Terror after class, good times! But I remember that AFI/Samhain project, “Son Of Sam”.
Loved a lot of the early ceremony shows with Anthony in fishnets, boots, asking if there were any queers in the audience. I vividly remember those early tours with blacklisted and have heart and feeling a shift in the room. Flat brim, Nike dunk kids not know what to do or how to feel.
Used to catch these dudes with life long, sabertooth, set it straight all over northern Cali back in the day. Fucking god damn good times. Love this shit.
im a NY guy but got early exposure to Ceremony when they played Seattle in 2006 for Champion's last show weekend. the reaction was nuts, biggest pop was probably when they covered California Uber Alles
As a heavily tattooed old head hardcore guy, attending shows in the early 2000s, she is 100% right about aggressive music in the tattoo shop and clients not sitting as well. I always preferred silence, audiobooks or acoustic music when getting tattooed. Another great episode fellas, I'd like to see more than one episode a week though
Woke up this morning in my Ceremony tshirt and out on my Ceremony hoodie, opened UA-cam and was pleasantly surprised to find this 🖤 two hours of conversation with Anthony! Big day for us Ceremonyheads out here
The year: 2005. The place: Camp Shelby, MS. The music mindset: There's no possibility that any band is better than System of a Down. 😅 they're still my all time fav. It was a journey from soad, to Green Day, Tool, to Ministry, and then I found hardcore last year. Changed my ufckin 40 year old life. 😂
Thursday is the masterkiller of days because of this podcast
It’s scientifically proven
The whole style of this episode is incredible. Loving the different spots but no drop in the vibe at all
Agreed! Diff locations was really cool
watching all of this and Anthony not mentioning the secret Ceremony set at S&F to them at all is so funny to me, such a great episode! One of my favorites in a while.
Gotta get Davey Havoc on the pod boys. Make it happen!
Havok, James Hart, & Brandan one day!

Love the travel vlog in person interview style episodes. More like this when it’s possible please!
Admittedly haven’t had much experience w/ Ceremony but this dude is so fucking cool imma be diving in head first. Incredible episode.
Prove it by dressing like him
@@ChappySinclaire If I had 0.1% of his swag, I would.
@@ChappySinclairehis style is great. I think Wes got him on that Rick Owens
Start with rohernt park go backward then after rohnert park
Gotta see them live
TUI and Ceremony were my two favorites in high school this hits harder than I thought it would
Same dude. I once saw Ceremony play in some shitty landscaping company warehouse in South Carolina. One of my favorite memories. Such a good time.
Lowkey Colin and Anthony love each other on a different level, you can see it in their eyes.
When I was in Product of Waste I tried my hardest to play drums like Jake. When I switched to guitar I knew that I wanted to write and perform like Anthony but that tuning was so different. Trying to learn their gosh darn albums in E Standard was so hard.
product of waste was such a killer band! booked you guys in chattanooga back in the day.
POW 4ever
POW FOREVER
So when do we get the Davey episode?
Mentions of both Life Long Tragedy and Set it Straight - THAT IS SOME HARD LORE, BROTHER
The Set It Straight final show at the Phoenix is still my favorite show I have ever been to.

The kids trying to jump from the balcony area. Set lives in my brain.
Simply beautiful! Best episode to date! Cheers from Houston, TX
Colin ordering ranch and sizing up Bo @1:29:49 is so god damn funny

Really solid episode. Look Back and Laugh was one of my favorite bands growing up.
who up harding their lore rn
Buahahaha
Wickedly hard
Me brother
my lore is so hard rn
So glad These Days got mentioned. Back in like, 02?? Hugely popular on the AFI message board and very likely the first hardcore band I heard.

Prince stunted on everyone so hard in the guitar gently weeps solo. Super Bowl purple rain solo in the rain is close second.

This the most hardcore shit ever. Tattoos, ceremony, vegan, straight edge, America baby
Heather wins the style award for that Danzig shirt.
💯
I think it's a dasbootleg joint
Anthony is the best. Never seen a stage presence like that before in my life
Would love a hauntlore with Mr. Havoc
Ayo, is Anthony wearing Rick Owens?! Betcha ass I was moshing in Rick during the first hours of Sound & Fury loll
😂 I feel nervous moshing in my $35 merch, cant imagine moshing in Rick
I love that he says y'all.

The ranch tension at the counter was so good.
This episode just made me love Hardlore even more, it's fun, interesting, chilled... Colin and Bo are so charismatic 🖤
Every episode lately has consistently been the best episode so far.
The varying genres of Ceremony is what make the shows. A few years back they opened with Video into the Red C cover. Amazing energy. Everyone happy.
Ceremony is my favorite band, this is my favorite podcast and this is my favorite episode. Love the boys and I love all my fellow listeners/watchers.
Hardlore gym episode. Colin’s gotta put the public onto the routine.
My favorite episode of Hardlore.
That turnstile tour line-up was perfect.

Almost never hear anyone mention Resilience! They were really fun, miss those shows
Hammertime mention! Fuck yeah. That split with DuckxHunt is the best damn shit ever.
Heather is a real one for repping Dissection 🤘
Awesome stuff. I'm from a similar era and it's crazy to see things evolve.
At 1:12:20 Anthony refers to Leipzig Conne Island, I guess. I remember that tour - it was a dream come to true line up, even from today‘s perspective
Taking a swing at the world after this
Converges cover of Disintegration is also the best song ever

Hey Colin, wheres the link to that Prince solo brother? I've seen it before but the people who don't know, need to know.

Strangely I played shows with life long tragedy both in the states and in Europe. Crossbearer and Power and the Glory. 2005. What a time to be alive.
AWWWWW HEATHER “BIG SHOW” BAILEY !!!

Mc Hammer lives in Tracy California now. I went to highschool with his kids hahaha 37:40
About an hour from oakland

The sadness I felt when I realized I got too big for my Ceremony shirt hasn't been matched since.

Just searched it on here…it’s sensational
I’m still tryna find someone who looks at me the way Colin looks at Anthony ❤
"Who do you do". love this one, for me hardcore/ punk has always been inclusive. Till someone always says but.
AA is the fucking man. This was amazing. BTW Zoo is undoubtedly their best record. It's my favorite of their records without a doubt.
Not me drinking a wine while listening to this HARDLORE 😅
Is Colin deeply in love with Anthony? The way he looks at him…
Lana better watch out
