  • Aisha Beliso-De Jesus is a co-founder of Princeton’s Center on Transnational Policing. Her new book "Excited Delirium" exposes a medical term that has long been used as a cover for police misconduct -- as in the case of George Floyd, whose murder by police four years ago this weekend sparked general outrage. The author and academic speaks to Michel Martin about how legislators are now dealing with "excited delirium syndrome" -- an invented condition.

Excited had never be used in other parts of world as cause of death, that should speak to itself ;especially, the cause of death of those individuals as related to custodian behaviors.

A news story that didn't get much national coverage. Tony Timpa, an unarmed 32 yr old white man who called 911 for help during a mental health crisis, was already restrained by security when police arrived. Police ziptied his ankles, placed him face down in the grass, and then one officer kneeled on his back for 14 minutes. When he became unresponsive, the group of officers mocked him for "being asleep" and not waking up for school. When paramedics arrived, they administered a sedative. Police falsely reported that he was aggressive. Autopsy said "cocaine and stress associated with physical restraint." Body cams were not released for 3 years so the family had no idea. He was pronounced dead 20 minutes after police arrived. As they loaded his body onto the gurney, one officer was heard to say, "He didn’t just die down there, did he?"

The term "career violent criminal" applies in such cases to KEEP them incarcerated.
Do-gooders with an "agenda" get them out.

Floyd wanted out of the police car, wanting to lie down. The police obliged.
Floyd then died from the HUGE amount of drugs he had ingested.

He died from all the drugs in his system. Fentinal specifically. Several doses of which he swallowed when he saw police approaching his car.
Chavin was railroaded. As were the other officers. Including the one who was trying to get treatment for Floyd by citing delirium.
Because excited delirium is a medical condition that requires treatment. It is often brought by cocktails of drugs.

She is a fraud. Using Floyd as any kind of example shows she either is a lying baiter or an idiot.
Floyd died to complications of ingesting lethal doses of fentinal.
Excited Delirium is a medical condition, often brought on by ingesting illicit drugs while in an excited state.
It was mentioned by the rooky as a possible reason for Floyd's breathing issues. The rook was trying to get him medical assistance. However didn't have the authority to override his superior on scene.
By the way, they railroaded him too.
The prosecutors, mayor, city council, and police department are all scum for not backing these officers.
The only one of them you can say did anything wrong is Chavin. However, the worst he did. Was not listen to the rook.

Floyd died from a drug overdose.

    • @michaelconnor1542
      @michaelconnor1542 3 дні тому

Floyd was the drugs. Chavin didn't kneel on his neck.
His knee and shin were on his shoulder and back. Dispersing his weight.
While he may have stayed too long. That didn't kill Floyd. The drugs suppressed his ability to breathe and absorb oxygen. They also caused his heart to pump irregularly. Hence, reducing bloodflow. Which is vital to recycling oxygen and co2.
