I agree in Sacramento it helps to drive around exposing the name so they get used to seeing it several times every day, one place I worked had the shop visible from the freeway at an off ramp, the sign on the roof was as good as a bill board, every day thousands of people using the off ramp or driving by it saw the shop and its name,Elvas ave is a good p;ace for a shop to be seen. I see a few guys parking big bobtails on freeway overpases such as 99 by 12th ave or hwy 50 around Sac High area. I used to use the Penny saver ,even Craigslist was good back around 2001. The Bee used to be good ,it was only $175 its around $350 or more now and not everybody subscribes as back then. .
I hang Christmas lights in the winter in South Mississippi pays $2.50 a foot for single story and $3.50 a foot for the second story...it adds up quick and is easy work

Greg u seem really smart business I like how u keep stuff simple make every customer happy and u will go far I do have a question can u do a video on what kind of checklist u present to your maintenance customers to show the value of them getting their units maintenanced
Thanks for the comment! I dont have a checklist that I show them, I guess. I just explain to them we do a 30 point check on all the components of your AC or Heating system. I also let them know that we take a lot of pride in how clean we can keep your system year after year. I do like to show pictures of my work to them after I'm done.
I was told by a HVAC apprentice that large hvac companies make like 8k a day for each install job. Is that true??? Heck I could charge half the price and still be happy.
It takes me and a helper 4 hours max to do a complete swap...I only charge 3k in labor for that...it sounds like I need to raise my prices Edit: your apprentice is right I go behind so many people that quote astronomical numbers but those guys are huge in my area I don't understand it they charge twice as much and do shitty work in my opinion

You guys make way more money. I think i'm in the wrong trade! I want to change. How long does it take to become an hvac guy? 4 years?

You are not trying to built this channel you are trying to built your business I get it but you have to separate the two in order to have a successful channel try making videos for the contractor audience not for your clients and your channel will grow! I’m unsubscribing for now might revisit if things change.
