    Episode 8 of the VLOG!
    Here's a quick recap of last night's gig. I grabbed my camera and thought it would be cool to bring you guys behind the scenes... sort of.
    Let me know in the comments what you thought of this VLOG! Maybe I'll bring you in deeper next time? Hope you enjoyed the reenactment... so accurate.

      Chris Ramsay To be quite honest combining the big pop up wand and ping was absolutely genius and I can see many people actually freaking out about thay

    i'll definitely look into the next of wallets - question though - card tricks aside "how many" effects do you bring with you? Under 10? Under 5? Most magicians go with the "rule of 3" perform a trick - if the table is dead say "thanks" after one trick, but if they're into it - you do a little mini set of 3 tricks - is that about average for you?

    • @slowdown_
      @slowdown_ 5 років тому +2

      im just starting out with this and i would really like to know what would be ideal. I always think that i need like 10 or more tricks, but that of course is way to much...

      I’ve heard magicians say go with at least 30 minutes worth of material, if you can milk the audience it would be good, but it depends how long the tricks are imo

    Lmao ur re-enactment.... bro I swear I love u to death man... ur videos are so entertaining and you’ve inspired me to start doing magic again. I used to do It so much when I was little and I was doing tricks all over the world when I was in the air force but i kinda just fell off over the years...... but after watching u and being reminded of how fun It is to blow people’s minds and to always having a deck of cards in my hand practicing all kinds of moves and sleights n stuff.. ughhh I missed It so much idk why I ever stopped.... It sucks when life gets in the way of things 😢.. but I love you brother, keep up everything u do man, ur truly nothing short of amazing ♥️♥️♥️

    I love this more than the card trick vids and the tutorials. I am with you on the being awkward filming at a gig. I need a new promo but getting that footage without being weird about it is hard. I have come up with a couple ways to get people to hit up my facebook during a trick.

    the flip coin thing. i won't say the name of it's one of my new favorites. lots of fun. clear deck. Won't say the name of. love it. it kills. also the voodoo doll in the thumb nail. Won't say the name. i get sooooo much millage out of because of the type of magic i do.

    Nice reaffirmation about what we ALL go through before a gig. I don't use the "block" but I'm constructing the same routine with a cigar lighter that looks like a deck of bridge cards. Hey, I'm working a cigar lounge, I got to go with the environment. Just subscribed. See you around.

  • @jedybg

    Try no carbs ( bread, fries, etc ) before a gig. Grab some meat, cheese, salad or whatever - you can go crazy but you'll never get that 'stuffed' feeling and drowsiness. Best way to both be full and have the focus to do great work.
