I know you love God. It’s our witness that brings his love to others. We love the critters because He gave them to us. Love steak and Jesus! God help America! Thanks for what you do! Love your videos.
Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Work …. I thought I worked a hard job …. No I don’t work hard at all . I think farmers are one of the hardest workers ! Without them we would starve ! Thank you much !
Thank you, but we definitely choose this life. Especially guys like me that do it on the side. It’d be very easy to just have my day job and golf, fish, and hunt in my free time, but we choose to farm as we find it very rewarding. Thank again!
We had 5 in and it is cold! Ready for spring!!
I am VERY ready for spring!
Live in south mo have about four inches of snow stay safe great video
Yeah, ended up with about the same
We had about 3” snow Sunday. Haven’t been above freezing since Saturday. Last night we had a low of -5 and today is going to be a heat wave of 17. High yesterday was 7. I guess I will join Bobby by complaining about the weather here in northwest Arkansas. I know farmers and ranchers up north have it much colder. I feel for them and their animals. Thanks for sharing
Yeah, real similar weather here. We are a few degrees warmer than you are, but sound like we got just a little more snow. Y’all stay safe and warm!
We have 14 inches of snow on the ground here in North Central Iowa.
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Many people don't realize what all it takes when taking care of animals on a farm.
I was raised on a farm and did many chores every morning before school and after school. Then also on weekends.
It never ends
Yeah, that’s the exhausting part of it. It never ends. Hard to get away sometimes. Cant really leave when there’s weather like this. Even with good help, you don’t want to be gone if something goes wrong. Calving starts next month. Same goes for then.
Keep up the good job😊
Thanks!
Stay warm.
We are trying! You too!
We have 24 inches of snow and it hit 10 degrees today and at night back to the negative side
I would be so tired of seeing snow. Really looking forward to next week when ours should all be long gone!
Praying for you and your family.
Thank you
Just to say I'm really enjoying your videos stay warm stay safe
GOD BLESS
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Thank you and God bless!
Enjoy watching your posts. Very informative but one comment please receive as constructive. We love Gods creatures and should respect them in our words too. They don’t need to be ‘geniuses’ to be a cow. They just need to be cows. We can’t do what they do. They are precious just as they are and we respect them. God bless all farmers America!
I agree. I prefer to be the smarter part of the equation (& higher on the food chain!). They do frustrate us from time to time. We never physically abuse them, and, fortunately for them, they are pretty immune to the verbal abuse. Thanks for watching and the kind words. Eat beef & God bless!
Them Brahman cross steers should tases really good for you I had some processed and they were great.
Yes, they eat very well!
Here in Oklahoma it was 9 % degrees
6°F here this morning, but warming up to near freezing. Then, back to single digit lows this weekend
Bobby its colder there than it is here on the island in Alaska, 32 for lows and high of 36 today and no snow
That’s crazy! We don’t get well above freezing until early next week
@@HurricaneCreekFarms here on shuyak island we got 4 more days above freezing then 4 days below freezing
How are the hay consumption numbers working out with your current crew?
Definitely backed off quite a bit now that we sold all the angus heifers and those few culls. Feeding about 16-18 rolls/week. Had peaked at about 25 rolls/week.
Wouldn't hurt to take the horns out of the equation when feeding cattle
We keep the horned ones and odd balls to feed out because they take the obvious hit at the sale barn. For our small numbers, we don’t run into much trouble with the horns. They’ll all be in a freezer in a few months and we’ll barely remember they had horns.
We don't get anything like y'all, but it's supposed to be 22 here in the morning. Us Florida folk are not designed for that.
Yeah, it’s all relative to what your area is accustomed to. Our animals, infrastructure, etc isn’t designed to handle this degree of cold for long stretches, as I’m sure yours probably isn’t as well. Y’all stay warm!
@HurricaneCreekFarms Yep, not designed for it at all. We usually get 1-2 hard freezes per year, that's it. And of course, there's always the time several years ago that I-10 was closed from here (west side of Tallahassee) to I think Louisiana? due to ice on the bridges. 😆 We have no equipment for such things down here. To the best of my knowledge, the couple of non-interstate bridges they kept open was by constant application of sand, didn't even have salt.
What’s you opinion on the hisea boots? Have y’all still wore them or not? We were looking at the but I wasn’t sure how they were. Keep the videos coming
Not bad at all. Comfortable and keep you dry. I’ve had these about a year and they are holding up well to the abuse.
2 days ago it was 22 below and today was the first day in a week it was above 0
I want no part of that!
It is sunny here in the DFW area today, but freezing. The low is 16° and high will only be 25°. It seems your cows don't mind the cold weather. I would think they would prefer a warm barn. Do they fair better in extreme cold or summer weather?
Yeah, sunny and cold here today, too. The cold, as long as they are dry, is generally less stressful than our extreme heat. I prefer 15° and dry versus 35° & raining.
Have a feeding question I see the corn but what is the other two items that you add to it
Soybean meal and tenderlean pellets.
Thank you
@@HurricaneCreekFarms is tenderlean pellets a brand or a type of feed I’m trying to find a better way to flout our steers
@@canadiancreekranch7836 it’s a formulation/pellet that our coop makes. If you’re in Tennessee it is product 441 from Tennessee farmers co-op.
okay thanks unfortunately were in Oklahoma @@HurricaneCreekFarms
You need to quit talking about your weather I don't care what the weather is in TN.
Well, the farm is at the mercy of the weather, no matter what time of year, so that’s going to always be part of the conversation. When we have extreme weather conditions, it’s probably going to dominate the conversation. If that’s not to your liking, then this probably isn’t the content you are looking for.
Since this is his podcast, he can talk about what he wants. If you don't like it, don't watch!

You’re not too far from me, I’m in eastern Oklahoma. We probably got 4-5” of snow. With a lot of it melting and refreshing the last couple of days. It was about -9 at 7am this morning and warmed to 17 by 5pm. I totally agree with Bobby Lee on it ain’t the cold it’s the wind. Wind hasn’t really been blowing much since Sunday and it’s colder than it was then.
Yeah, we’ve been just a little warmer than y’all, but sounds like we got a bit more snow.
@@HurricaneCreekFarms we got to a balmy 43° today. I think we are supposed by be back down to highs in the 30s for the weekend, then back in the 60s next week.
