The only band that can be both hard hitting and mellow and still be great. Legendary band. No band since their departure have ever comes close to their greatness.
Incesticide and Bleach are my favorite Nirvana albums. Was lucky enough to see them in Austin at the SXSW festival just before Nevermind came out. Stubbs BBQ, 20 people in the room. When I saw them I thought to myself, “Holy shit! These guys HAVE to get big. They just HAVE TO!”
"I came to get down, I came to get down, so get out your seat and jump around" (House Of Pain yeah?)... Love Nirvana ... Kurt was such a creative soul ... thanks Brad ... 😊
"come on over and do the twist" when one ties a tourniquet. "Over do it and have a fit" when one takes too much. "Love u soo much it makes me sick" the term dopesick comes to mind. And so forth....so yeah kind of a sad song in retrospect of Kurt's life.
Come on over and do the twist🙌🙌🙌 loooove ✨✨💞 Great album. 👏👏🙌🙌🙌❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ mosh ❤️❤️ Kurt was a lover and this is a alternative love song ☺️🌹....... self loathing angst yet he wants someone to come hangout. Lover ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌹✨👏👏👏🙌🙌✨
The sounds at the end are are mostly guitar feedback (when you point a guitar at a loud, distorted amp, you get a squealing noise - sometimes its obnoxious, sometimes it's controllable and cool) combined with Kurt playing with his guitar's tremolo bar (which makes the pitch of a note go up or down).
It is a drug song. Do the Twist means tying the strap around your arm to make the vein pop out. Overdo it and have a fit is obvious. Love you so much it makes me sick is about overdosing. Shoot the shit is slang... shit is another word for heroin (yes, it was used specifically for heroin). She keeps it pumping straight to my heart is the rush of the drug in the bloodstream. What's great is you can also take every line as a metaphor about romantic love as well. This is just a guess, but I think the title Aneurysm is about Andy Wood, lead singer of Mother Love Bone, who overdosed the previous March (1990). He had an aneurysm and died. But I don't know if that was public knowledge in Seattle at that time. Nirvana first performed Aneurysm in November of 1990, so i think it's possible.
Woohoo! This is one I wanted to put on a poll, so glad to see it here. I didn't buy this album when it came out since I read some (bogus) bad reviews. It's not much like "Nevermind" but I'd say it's much better, and closer to the actual Nirvana sound. It seems pretty clear to me the lyrics are about shooting heroin. Nearly every line is a double meaning about that
I can't recommend this record enough. My early teen years were spent playing during stereos with my brother. When I discovered nirvana so did he and our neighbors. I'd play "Incesticide" and he'd play "Bleach" and my mom, well she worked nights.
I love Nirvana. However, I do not get mad when people say they are bad. Honestly, they kind of are. Kurt can't sing and his guitar skills are subpar. When I first started playing guitar I learned all Nirvana songs, they are easy. Even though their music is not very complicated, it is still enjoyable. Sometimes simple is good.
One of my all time favorites. Period.
Yeah dude if you can't get it up for this........I D K........LOL

Best band of the 90's in my opinion.

That chaotic buildup part to me is the aneurysm. But I've never had one so it's hard to say.
Chaotic?

There are quite a few amazing songs on Incesticide. This has always been one of my favorites.
Love Nirvana. Kim Gordon does a great cover with Nirvana at Rock nRoll Hall of fame induction minus Kurt Cobain of course.

From their earlier albums. Punk rock roots.

U shooting shit with this comment.
It's about a girl.
He was so nervous that he was sick when he meet her.
Don’t think either of y’all talked to Kurt about these lyrics. 😉
No, but i heard Kurt talk about them and Krist.
Wait ......is this Brad or his twin brother? Your personality is so much more outgoing and peppy. Like it 👍
The cover art on the Incesticide album is one of Kurt's original paintings.

The greatest song ever by the greatest band of all times! In fact, you had to do the twist to fully understand it!!! I did!
Takes me back. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

This song is way better live. I don’t like the album version but when you hear it live it’s amazing! Aneurism live at reading festival!
This
Agreed
Live version is even better by alot

💯
Like your show. He's talking about shooting heroin. The twist is the turniquet around the arm. He loves it so much it makes him sick and have fits.
Plus I thought the lines beat me out of me and she keeps it pumping straight to my heart are about reviving someone from an overdose
The official video for this song is😅, a must learn for any beginner guitarist🎸
Another amazing song. Nirvana lets you down.
It's basically about a toxic relationship. People who keep going back for more.
I dig it.
Obviously meant for keg parties. And not so obvious one of my very favorite Nirvana songs.
He never really intended for his lyrics to make complete sense, he just liked things that were spacey and weird
We do not question Kurts lyrics.. We don’t have the brain space for it😂😂😂
Nirvana "I Hate Myself And Want to Die" 🤘 please and thank you!
Yea I Hate Myself And I Want To Die
I thought the lyric was "she keeps a puppet string on my heart" which i actually like better.
You should’ve listened to the Live at the Paramount version, it’s the best version out there
Where's Lex?
Sliver is the best song from Incestiside
Do the Twist is innuendo for shooting herion
Pixies Youth!
This is back when Nirvana really rocked. Before the commercialized Nevermind changed everything.

So ‘bad’ they’re iconic and ground breaking 30 years on.
Please react to Nirvana "School" from the Bleach Album
Bleach is so good 👏
So good and part of the soundtrack of my misspent youth lol The Concerts and Parties were so good @@sierra6936

Heroin song hmm ok
