I have ridden the crazy roller coaster ride with mentally ill , addicts , alcoholics , NPD / BPD other disordered family , parents, ex boyfriend, None were seeking help, or medication compliant. Instead , they self medicated with whatever addictions and I rode the roller coaster ride. Big time caretaker .It's absolutely, exhausting when they appear sane and then go off the rails ( walking on eggshells) and if you're codependent, with non existent boundaries, you're gonna get dragged. You have to surrender , detach with love . The insanity, that I experienced when others, were under the influence and having black outs and experiencing there complete emotional disturbances / violence / and abuse is the result. I regret all the caretaking . It created anxiety, that I'm still healing from. I'm middle aged and have had to go no contact with most family. My own mental health has to be the #1 priority. This was a helpful video. Could you do a video on sibling alienation caused by the Parents ?

I'm sorry you have had to experience this. Very unsettling and destabilizing to say the least. I will certainly add your topic idea to my list of upcoming chats in the new year!!
      Glad this video was helpful!

I actually believe that there is a tacit agreement between people at times. They are comfortable with it or one doesn't know it exists. I think you would like the old movie Ordinary People if you haven't seen it. I also read the book which gave more detail about the characters. The Mother was a complete Narcissist, played by Mary Tyler Moore, and just wanted her son gone because he didn't fit anymore. It was done really well and was very painful to watch the characters. She was so nice and people loved her but she was cruel to her sensitive son and nobody saw it but him. I love your videos. Thanks for all the information. :)

Curious to know more about what you mean about a tacit agreement between people at times. That movie is excellent.

I wonder if there's a common thread between followers of your channel that they come from cultures that have a legacy of historical trauma and this is why your content resonates so deeply.

That's a good point! I think there are some common threads for sure which was cultivated over a few years. My topics are strategic to meet the needs of those on the channel. I'm grateful most topics resonate with almost everyone on the channel.

Hello Precious Sister! Thank u for this awesome video. When u talked about death or loss in the family changes ppl. It really does. One of my sisters was killed in a car accident & two years later one of my brothers was killed in Vietnam. I was a very small child. The mother my siblings remember was not the mother I remember. She was bitter when I was growing up. Mostly my siblings raised me. My daddy did some things for me as well when I was small. I don't have much to do with my DNA relatives because I feel they resent having to raise me. I didn't ask to be born in that fam, but that's where GOD placed me. I'm grateful now because my aloneness drove me to GOD. GOD has helped me to have more love & empathy for ppl like me who have trouble making friends & trusting ppl. GOD has also helped me to laugh at ignorant ppl!!!

I'm glad this video was helpful to you.
I'm so sorry, also, for your loss. That's terrible. It's traumatizing. But hopefully through that pain you have become wise. God will carry you. He always has!

This hit the nail on the head. My mom has been asking him to go to therapy. He doesn't think its what a REAL MAN would do. My mom is not perfect, but she's dealing with a lot, she's the bread winner and she's stressed. That man she married is a mooch, he mansplains ALL THE TIME to the point where he makes no sense, and he lies constantly. HE manipulates her by leaving her every time they have an argument, and she gets scared that he's left her for good and backs down from arguments where she's correct about her concerns. My mom is no narcissist, she's just married to Mr. Word Salad.
