These are great tips! I love the idea of giving students seat numbers to keep artwork organized. I'm curious if you ever have students change seats? My students often ask "when are we going to change seats". This year, I gave in and created new seating charts in January. Creating seating charts is tedious and annoying, in my opinion. Do you have students stay at the same seat all year long, or do you have strategies for changing seats without the headache?

Thanks! I make them sit in the same seat all year long. At the end of the quarter we have a ketchup and pickle day (to finish up work) and they can move around and sit wherever they want. I also plan lessons throughout the quarter where we do centers/stations and students can move.
