That is an insult to people with mental health issues. I know its a KIKUYU word but nobody says Mad people when addressing Mentaly ill people anymore. Please try. You are an influencer and people follow you, they will also stop.

In English, we no longer use “mentally ill.” We use “mentally challenged.” Maybe we can say “mathina ma mutwe.”
But not all people with mental illness are mad. So the kikuyu l understand ( which could be bad) muguruki is an abnormal person but mentally ill are thina wa mechiria
