Hi Megan! I'm a graphic artist with a background in print and I'm reluctant to hop into web design because I'm confused about how much coding/development you do as a designer? Could you give me a brief synopsis of your workflow? Do you design the page and then hand it over to a developer to code it? Love your videos! Thanks! Heather
Hi Megan! I’m launching my showIt site soon. For the transitional images I added a second view and it transitions on hover. You can choose different ways for it to transition too. Not sure if that’s what you were looking for🙂
Do you design on Figma and then fully again on Showit? Or do you upload pngs of your mock-up directly on Showit and add in buttons and scrolling links where needed? Loved this video!! Thanks for all your hard work 😊
Sorry for the delay! Yes i design the wireframe/mock-up on figma and then develop onto showit. I develop section by section so each item on the site is its own element. Hope that helps 🥰
XD will eventually disappear/will not have support as Adobe bought Figma last year, so definitely a good idea to do the transition. Also with the new stuff Figma added (variables) are a game changer!
You cannot really export and import designs, you have to build it to make it functional. Figma does however write code for you as designing which you could then import onto websites.

Always amazing content, thank you Megan! Will you upload a video showing how you build it on Showit and add the simple animations?
Aw thank you so much!! I definitely will make a ShowIt video soon 😊

Can you make a tutorial on how you export the Figma design onto Showit?
Yes I will!

Yes! Such a good point 👏
Simplesmente perfeito 👏
Where do you get the clients. I'm not even getting one client lol.
social media right now!
Are you working on the website version or the desktop one?
I now work on the desktop one!
Do you like figma more than XD now?
I am enjoying it a lot but I love to learn all platforms so I know what I like most 😊
Hello! Could you please explain how technically export Figma design website to showit?
You cannot really export and import designs, you have to build it to make it functional. Figma does however write code for you as designing which you could then import onto websites.
If you download the figma desktop app your fonts will automatically update within the app! 🫶
so weird I have the desktop one and it always makes me restart if I download new fonts!
