Its an adaptation of Bikram Betal story. The base story of Bikram Betal is "A Sage sends King Vikramaditya on an impossible mission to get a corpse from the middle of a Jungle. The corpse that Vikram is after is possessed by a ghost named Betal, a very clever ghost who loves to tell stories and pose questions to King Vikram in order to test his wisdom and sense of Justice.". So Vikram here is played by Saif Vedha is by Hrithik. HR is actually playing the closer version of Betal from the OG novel. Mad manaic. In the tamil one, Sethupati played Vedha in a more calm and composed way.
