Now that's what I call a restoration! Good job, did it run before and did it have transmission problems? Just wondering why you had to tear it completely down? God bless!!!!!

I got it to run after delivery to me but it smoked quite a bit. I drove it and didn't feel any problems. I took the top cover off the transmission for cleaning, inspection, & re-sealing then noticed stripped gears and bearings that had failed. We elected to buy a good used back half and use all the innards along with all new bearings.

When you bought the H did it run? If not, did you have to do a complete engine overhaul? You did a beautiful job on the rebuild!

@@rudycarlson8245 Wasn't stuck but didn't run. Did some work to get it running but it was a heavy smoker. Cylinders were pitted from water damage so we went with new liner-piston-Ring Kit, bearings, and all new valves. Parts for rebuilding an H's engine are well under $1000. Machine shop turned crank, fitted wrist pins, installed liners and did the head work. Can't remember the exact total but I believe it was almost as much as the parts themselves.
