The second video she sent to Dr. Brand when her father, the professor, died. He had finally told her that the equation was unsolvable and that there was no way to save the Earth. So for those of you who don’t know what happened, the father left for a space mission and his daughter was crying because he wasn’t going to come back for a very long time, and when he was on a planet/ space , one hour for him was about 7 years for people back on Earth. Many people overlooked the "in death you are reunited with your loved ones". Its common to hear about patients with hours left start to call out to loved ones that passed on many many years ago.
Yes I spent my whole nursing career surrounded by the dead & dying. Their loved ones do surround them no one dies alone. There are those of us who are sensitive. Maybe we go into the work because of that maybe because we grew up around this work I had to care for my grandmother and an ill mother before I could leave home. Even in training my first patient while I helped her that first night helping her to get into bed changing her clothes etc I felt like there was a man behind me but there shouldn't be The door was slightly a jar just in case a charge nurse was checking on me during my training I had enough training and experience as an aid but this was going for the big guns you know the nursing license and yet they start you out as if you know nothing. I felt uncomfortable cuz I knew it was a man but I also knew there were male nurses but I knew the man had a mustache and I hadn't seen a male nurse with a mustache. She kept looking behind me and shaking her head and saying no finally I asked her are you telling me no She said no I said okay I changed the position and looked no there was no man there I went back to her and I said do you see someone there She shook her his head and then said yes She could only say yes or no I said is it someone you know she said yes I said okay it's not anybody who wants to hurt you She said no and I said okay well are you okay to get in bed She said yes I said Oh let's go I put her to bed talk to her a few minutes and then said I will turn off the light is that all right She said yes and then I asked her do you want the door closed no okay and I left it open. That way the hall light would shine in and give her a night light by this time it's about 9:00 p.m. and I go back to the desk It happened a few nights in a row and I realized that something is up with this patient. After a while I realized who I could trust from things she said and I went to her I asked the nurse You know patient so and so and she said yes I think she knew what I was going to ask and I said I have felt somebody that's in her room He comes when she gets ready for bed and she said yes and I said who is he she's not afraid of him she just keeps telling him no. But I hadn't seen any pictures. She said it's her husband he passed away a long time ago The family doesn't want any pictures cuz they don't want anybody using it in the wrong way. Oh I knew what that meant. The family had money I knew that She had one of the best rooms. Overlooking the beautiful fountain and gardens. And it was private. Very rare. They were afraid someone would figure out who she was by the man who she'd been married to and he was a very handsome man It was California after all who knows maybe he had been a mild actor We got a lot of those where we were They didn't retire in Hollywood they never did They always moved out to where it was just a little warmer a lot less obvious and they could afford it so she said don't worry about it he'll be there until she passes away I said why didn't she do the treatments she doesn't really belong here I saw her chart She said her kids wouldn't let her go She really wanted after the first stroke to go she wanted to go with him The kids wouldn't let her so she refused the rehabilitation. Unfortunately because she refused to exercise she had another stroke and that caused the other side of her body to go so now she's stuck in her wheelchair unable to speak feed herself clothe herself to do anything totally dependent upon us how tragic that her family and I knew her kids were kind of demanding in a way They they disturbed the the area when they came just the way they were kind of kids They acted like they were more important than anybody else etc. When she died it was a horrible storming night but I know that she was so happy and he was there All of us nurses were happy for her but her grandchildren screamed woke up all the other patients and we had to have them removed. I never felt or saw her husband again They were gone they were happy.

no it isn't at all. Time is the same everywhere at the same time. Any gravitational even strong enough to alter time would instantly dematerialize living matter into its subatomic components.
@@alexistaylor969 Take two pocket watches. Set them to the exact same time. Let one person hold one of the watches and fly on an airplane. When the two people meet up again, the times on the stop watches will be different. Time is relative depending on where you are in the universe. The other proof is that some stars we see in the sky are likely already destroyed. The light is still traveling to earth, allowing them to still be visible to us. It may feel like time is going at the same rate for every person, but that isn’t necessarily true. The stronger the gravitational force, the more time is distorted. Time and gravity are both 4th dimensional concepts, which is why they can influence each other in such a way. And fyi, the planet that had such a high difference in time perception was near a black hole. A dematerializing, gravitational phenomenon. If black holes can bend light, so too can they bend time.

I don't know for sure, but I like to think that animals don't feel or measure or even conceive of time like we do. One of the wonderful things about them is that they seem to just live in the moment. They don't fear for the future. They don't dwell on the past. So long as they're warm and fed and loved each day, they don't care how many of those days they get.
...and they spend the entire time waiting for us when we have to do human stuff; so what if we walk out the door and never come back? The faithful pets' world *is* us.
@@miked1869maybe but dogs and other animals definitely have stress and depression and anxiety which are by definition living in the past and the future

There’s a reason I consider this one of if not the best sci-fi film around. It’s mind-boggling, spooky, and theoretically possible.
no it isn't at all.
Time is the same everywhere at the same time.
Any gravitational even strong enough to alter time would instantly dematerialize living matter into its subatomic components.
@@alexistaylor969I don't know where you're getting that from, but it's been proven that time passes slower for astronauts in orbit.
@@nitromiyazaki Exactly! GPS and communication satelites actually run on different clocks than those on earth, because they experience a different time dilation than clocks on earth. Otherwise they would be out of sink with ground stations.

What you wrote hit me hard in the feels! 😢
This made me get very emotional. Perhaps this is how a loved animal may feel, time flys so fast for them.
@@miked1869 your wrong. Some animals do think about the future, specifically about the future of their families, pride, pack, territory, etc
@@JoMama___735 but are they really thinking about the future in the way that we do?
