I interpret this as a cave behind a waterfall and the different colors on the "cave wall" are reflections of gemstones. It's beautiful.
my exact thoughts - except i like to think it's an underwater cave with all the "plants" and stuff too :)
whatsgracie I started to see the red as flowers and the green as moss and flowers around the middle of the process!
Imme Wik I'm seeing a very large and old Sakura tree with someone resting on the side of it.
I saw a city. A city that's tearing apart and has no gravity, you know? But I can see the sakura tree with the man too c:
I see blue water turning into a large black wave
I love Peter. I've been here from the beginning. And haven't regret anything. Cheers mate
Petition for Peter to change his channel name to "Peter Does Whatever He Wants"
Rudd5 agree!
Agreed
>sign
+oscar the grouch totally agreed
Or maybe just "PeterDoes" to keep it nice and simple
"He probably knew what he was doing." -Peter Draws, on Picasso. 😂
Funny thing that mostly (in his 55 thousand collection of works(ofc. Not every are serious, art is not always serious)), Picasso didn't know what he was doing. Sometimes he was just making a couple of lines and making a masterpiece later. And that's a thing kinda with him, he could do anything from anything. He was an art kid, but genius art kid. There's nothing he couldn't do in art. He tasted every type of art. Abstract, surrealism, classicism, anything. Some people thinks that his works are easy to do. Yup, some of them are. But look closer at his paintings. Even his style of mixing colours was complicated. Every step closer to his paintings change the look at them.
Molly - and here I thought Peter was relatively unique in occasionally tasting his art supplies...
I don't do too many paintings or drawings myself, I'm busy making music most of the time but I always come here because I love this positive, enthusiastically creative vibe of Peter's videos. It's inspirational every time. Keep on doing what you do, it's amazing.
Welcome to everyone's favorite show, Peter Does Whatever He Wants!
.com
I love listening to peters talk about art and his thought processes
When you look from far away at it, it looks like a reef with a lot of corals and fishes. So beautiful ( °w°)
I enjoy squishing paint around and I enjoy watching other people squish paint around. Paint squishhhhh
I have trouble falling asleep at night... but ever since I found this channel, Peter's musings get me nod off straight away. It's amazing really. These videos are very relaxing somehow.
this is beautiful
thanks poop
omg u responded thank you so much u are one of my biggest inspirations
poop nice profile pic
I thought your profile pic was a nug of weed but upon closer inspection of your username, it does in fact appear to be poop.
Erika Ashford it is actually a nug of weed
Whatever your technics are,,,,,,,, they're an 'increditable journey'.......... and the words go a long way.............. nice work!
I love how you encourage people to create and have fun at the end. It is my favorite part of the videos
your art is as beautiful as your soul 🌻🌻🌹🌹
I enjoy your draw-wings and your paintings
I don't know if I've ever commented on your videos, but I really enjoy them and I appreciate the kind of approach you take to art as being a fun experience first and foremost. It makes me enjoy art more.
This is either a globe mixing into the universe or the city meeting the ocean. I like thus a lot. Abstract is such a fun style
2:30-2:35 singular, powerful, owing from the black and white caught on with me! Thanks for your indepthful eye!
All of your work is so incredibly inspiring, and not just in the aspect of creation but in the aspect of living day to day life. Your videos always encourage me to not only continue to make art but to live and live well. Thank you for that, never stop being fantastically you ❤️
Peter always draws, sometimes it's just with paint
the blue section is my favourite, it's so pretty. when I squint it looks like an ice cave
I think this is my favorite painting you've done.
The painting looks like the hall of eternity, becoming more chaotic and beautiful as we go along. (From left to right)
Like life and growing up.
I really like the things that you do!!, congraulations Pet!!
Your voice is soo relaxing its amazing ❤️
You should try making tempera paint, Peter. The wiki says you can use a 1:1 proportion of egg yolk (no whites) to vinegar, mixed with pigments. It's long-lasting (there are still paintings from the first century AD) and quick drying, and apparently you have to keep adding water as you paint because the yolk thickens over time. Add myrrh for a nicer smell!
i really want to see this painting in reality. it is so interesting. i could probably look at it it for hours and would still find new figures and structures…
nice work Mr. draws!
WHY AM I ALWAYS EARLY
Edit: it turned out amazing holy fuck
I love that painting! I love your approach and attitude. I've been telling people about your videos because I'm pretty addicted to them! All my paints and canvasses on in storage right now but you've inspired me to art more.
Every video of his is absolutely beautiful lol
Looks like you had a blast, you make me want to get busy with paints too. It's beautiful Peter💙
Every thing you make is beautiful
i did a project in school all about the different types of paint and i do believe that tempura paint is made of an egg yolk binder & is very fast drying, so it'd be interesting to see you use it (since it dries so quickly)
ur doing gods work peter
Turned out gorgeous
I liked out once you got toward the end, which means the process was teaching you. and that's the best part, you are trying new and wonderful other things. Art grows with a person. Good for you! I'm glad you had fun and joy doing it. Tip, black and yellow make greens and greys and muddiness in a painting, careful of those two colors, unless your going for that. this painting has two sides. My interpretation of it is that it is good verses bad. When the blue reaches back over to the dark side, victory! I'd turn it once to the right. Blue side up.
Having a terrible day.. Ty for the cheer up Peter!
i love your paintings, Peter (: as well as all of your other art.
This piece is gorgeous Peter!!
Love this video! Thank you for sharing!
Can you follow a bob Ross video and see what happens
NEAT IDEA
Kittykakes i
He'll probably just surpass him
I am a very logical person who likes things to be a specific way and with a purpose or it bothers me. That being said I don't understand how my favorite type of art is the exact opposite. I love abstract works like this! Amazing job! Also great commentary as usual Peter!
Enjoyed the narration and the painting, I did.
It sorta looks like Starry Night to me, kinda in the way the lines are formed and seem to flow, plus the darker part looks like the bush or tree? that is in starry night. I think it looks awesome, especially with so many different colors contrating eachother. Love your videos Peter 😊
PeterArts is my favourite UA-cam channel
You inspire me so much Peter thank you
"Nom de plume" is what you are looking for. Pen name. ;-)
that's the one
A nom de guerre (the first thing you said) is a n assumed name for fighting under.
@@miniaturephilosopher war name 👍
You are correct :) Tempera was traditionally made with eggs. It's similar to using acrylics but its thinner/more transparent and takes longer to dry. Its usually used by kids (instead of acrylic) because its washable whereas acrylic dries into plastic.
Looks great! Oil on wood is my favorite way to paint. The smooth surface texture is its main appeal for me. I don't like using acrylics anymore but like many, I learned with them. Tempera is weird; it's very thick. It used to be made by mixing eggs with powdered pigment. Some artists still mix their own Tempera, but the stuff you see in the store is synthetic.
that painitng is dope
That's an awesome abstract painting. =) And I enjoyed your commentary. =)
Awesome work as usual, Peter!
wood covering #3 looks really good
I was so inspired from this I spent days on what I wanted to do and just completed my first abstract painting :)
I enjoyed this very much
I like this! You are awesome man Peter ! good work!
I like the colors Peter.
sooo pretty!!
You better go to a museum and give this to them wether they like it or not, it's that good
Great video for my birthday. Thank you
i love your voice ♡ its so calmig
yellow mixed over black turns into a beautiful dense army green...
Something so random can look so good at the same time
It looks like an overhead view of a city :)
New channel confirmed: *_Peter Does Everything_*
We added egg yolks to our tempra paints in college with a little pinesol to prevent molding. Worked like acrylics but was far more white to then it was worth
Today, you inspired me to make a painting and clean up my room
Now paint on beech, Peter. Or a beach.
Woow This is amazing ! Beautiful
Peter does art
Huh to me it looks almost like a city with a really cool cloudy sky it's awesome
Hi, I am from Czech Republic and we were taught to paint with tempera as the basic, cheapest colour. But you are the first foreign artist, who at least mentioned them. I only wonder why.
This is so therapeutic
Hiya Peter so pleased to have found your channel. Never have I felt tète a tète as I do with you. I also try and stick to primaries and black and white. Occasionaly I enjoy adding a "guest" colour eg. Metalic pomegranate or bronze ect.
Before I used to paint what i could see, the bridge a river, trees ect. Now I paint what I feel you know emotions at the time I feel a similiarity to your easy going philosophy and approach. The more I enjoy the process seems like the paintings turn out better. I would happily send you a photo of just one to let you see iyw. Great stuff new subbie 👍
Gods, I love your voice almost that much as your art :D
i love this man so much
This is my new favorite of yours.
The balance of color is brilliant, too bad that I can't afford to buy it :D
Hey Peter! Tempra paints are a kind of water-soluble paints, they're extremely forgiving and unlike acrylic they do not build up (unless you purposely blob them on but it's a long dry time). You can thin them out with water and it's easy to cover if there's a mistake ( also I don't believe they're made with egg yolk ? ). I think you should give it a shot and have some fun!
I love this piece!
This somehow looks 3 dimensional and it's weird and I love it you're awesome peter
Absolutely amazing, i'd pay 10 grand for that painting.
If you turned the painting so the dark end was at the bottom and the blue end was at the top it kind of looks to me like it's from someone's view at the ocean floor and they're looking up and all the dark area is like coral and rocks and the light blue is the surface above. I love how open ended this piece is.
If you rotate it 90° clockwise, it looks like two boys, one in a yellow jacket one in an orange jacket, and they're both awaiting on the arrival of their incoming horse boat painted in black afloat in the Black Sea with a cherry blossom tree floating amongst them to the right.
woodcovering no3.....what a beautiful name
Woow... this legit makes me feel so many things. Powerful painting Peter...there's some unintentional alliteration. TAfter watching this I think I might paint today... unfortunately I have no white paint ...
Reminds me of a city in burning flames of an apocalyptic world.
that is beautiful.... just thrown out there... 👍
some abstract art is puzzling to me how people can enjoy but i feel like this is multiple artworks in one that create a confusion of colours and i could just sit here for a while trying to find more artworks in this singular one.
I see this as the inside of a wave wow
Peter you drew order surrounded by chaos!
Peter does whatever he wants
Love it
Nice paint !
This is amazing!
PETER IS PRETTY COOL
I like the name "Color Math". xD Much better than "Color Theory". lol
Paintings are considered art when they stir thought and imagination
The colour pallet of this piece reminds me of the work of Josh Kirby for some reason.
Love it !
This looks like the surface of the earth for some reason. I just think of a spaceview of the planet from thousands of years ago 🌼
