I played them growing up in Hong Kong 50 years ago, kids made them themselves. A few feathers from ducks and a stack of cardboards cut into circles and a few elastic bands.
"Jianzi is a traditional Chinese sport in which players aim to keep a heavily weighted shuttlecock in the air using their bodies apart from the hands." 2000 years too late guys, I'm out.
My guess is to protect the dragons credibility to the average joe's of the world who wouldn't understand how business and investments work (most investments fail) they leave it out
What a joke! I’m with SaintJimmy. I’ve lived in China for 14 years, and the locals have been kicking these about since I arrived. A well known French sports department store sells them off the shelves.
This is an OLD product. I saw this exact product in China ages ago. There is also the peteca in South America that uses a padded base and you use primarily your hands.
Bought a pack of 5 from Amazon about 10 years ago for less than £8. Additionally, went to China 15 haha years ago and old people were playing these in every public park. It's a game hundreds if not thousands of years old. Forget this!
Yep. And even if you make the toy itself lighter, so to not knock down any vases, there's still a person chasing and kicking at it who will cause mayhem.
I was hoping to see some Asians point out this isn't original. In Singapore, this is a childhood game called Chapteh. You can get them for $1-$2 or even a pack of 5 for $6 (depending on the shop). & yes, kids do play them outside. The only justification for such a high price is if you play it professionally & you like the customization. & that's a very small club.
Okay, so this show was made a few years ago (around 2012?) but come on guys, this invention of yours has been around... 5BC!!!! Introduced into the ASEAN games 2003. A Federation for the sport 1999..... are they crazy???
I saw these in Vietnam 20 years ago; imagine coming to the dragons and saying that you’ve invented ping-pong

Why 😮
But they're white they'll claim they were the first to discover it 😂
Typical SJW has to make it about race.@@houdini5538
We need to see more "after the show follow-ups"

Same here, however always refreshing to see ideas stolen in the oposite direction lol
@@stephanbateman5410comment of the day!
Exactly. 10 years in china, 5 in Vietnam. All over Vietnam too
When your hopes of securing the £60,000 you were seeking now rest solely with Kelly Hoppen, you may aswell pack up and go home
I know! Kelly and Doug Richard’s was the worst
😂😂😂
Kelly hopout
I'm 65. We had them at primary school 60 years ago......
Which country are you 😮
Primary begins at 8.
@jack-ze2zk that depends where you live. In Scotland you start primary school at 5 (and sometimes 4, depending on your date of birth)
@@Steven-ze2zk It is 5 here, some start at 4. Where are you where it is 8?
@@moonshinepz I'm in England. Infant schooling begins at 5, primary at 8 and secondary at 11. College, which is optional, begins at 16.
"Lyanga" is what we called it in Kyrgyzstan. We used to make it out of leaves tied with a rope. What a joke.
I googled them, there's an article saying they're super successful but their social media is dead. The website is still up at least
How is it going?
Business still active but Phil resigned in 2016
It’s not making much at all.. like £4.000
This is an OLD product. I saw this exact product in China ages ago. There is also the peteca in South America that uses a padded base and you use primarily your hands.
Peteca!!! Exactly what I was just about to comment. Fraudsters these two guys.
So it's a hackysack with feathers...

Kelly - "This is really good, it has got legs....I'm out."
Nigel farage will make a great ambassador for this product
I see what you did there and I like it.
I agree with Peter, this kind of thing is a parents worse nightmare
You both must be thrillling parents

@@Shall0ws And you obviously don’t have children, you will understand one day.
already in Asia everywhere
its footminton...thats brilliant!
Saw this exact thing in China 15 years ago
Once Peter Jones makes a decision then Deborah is already busy rewording the same answer
I was hoping to see some Asians point out this isn't original.

“How many ads can you put in your video”
BBC- “yes”

in the Philippines we have these, called "sipa"
After a compliment there is always a 'but'
Omg this is played by village kids in Malaysia from ages ago
The light bulb came on for someone likely seeing it somewhere.
Old toy ben in use in Vietnam fore 100 years
Genuinely felt bad for them. They seemed like a couple of good guys.
Us Brits love a sport can be played whilst holding a pint
This has been around for decades without the feathers in countries all over the world.
could have easily just stuck some feathers in a hackysac and called it new...at least they're round
For a product that is supposed to get you out and moving, this is the lowest energy pitch I’ve seen.
Thats a Chinese game ! I have it since my high school days from Toronto
Think the game is called Jianzi and has been played in China and South East Asia since .. well... day dot...
I saw this in china 1200 years ago
Sounds like UKIP 😂
Seriously ?! They don’t know what it is?
Deborah rocking that new do! Love it.
This was a long time ago, I doubt there still around now
I'm 60 and I've played that all my childhood in Brazil. Not really inovative.
Ive seen so many things like this before though
wow you're really really handsome, like I literally stopped scrolling through the comments to check your profile pic lol.
Basically just a big badminton shuttlecock?
Funny, looks like a Sepak Takraw like product in Malaysia. Just saying 😆
Every time it sounds like he is saying UKIP. Which, depending on your proclivities, can sound quite odd. Frankly, I'd change that name.
Kelly Hoppins hops out of making a deal
She is almost always out yet only Jenny used to get it in the neck.
Okay, so this show was made a few years ago (around 2012?) but come on guys, this invention of yours has been around... 5BC!!!!

Jackie Chan - Dragon Lord 💯 real ones know
It’s one in 40
Oh just go out picky nails, we do not need a 20 minute speech first every time before you do
Not one mention of the thousands of birds being killed to make this product.
I think its crap 💩 lol such a boring game. might aswell just get a footbal and do kick ups 🤣🤣
free advertising 😅
1994 called they want their hair cut back
Jackie Chan film "Dragon Lord"
Is Hoppen the most useless dragon of all time?
Jones thinks people will play it inside- do kids play hopch scotch inside?
This is a new low for DD
ridiculous gimmick!
turns out its a 2000 year old game.
Duncan never invests. I’m surprised they keep him on
Still more than Jenny.
He invested in the last video but it fell through after he found out who she was dating.
Lmao such a pathetic comment, he invests way more than Kelly
@@draculastraphouse7863 for sure. But he still doesn’t hardly invest. Keep being triggered
Like myself, Duncan and Jenny never invest because they don't actually have any money. In the modern day capitalist world your front is everything.
Wouldn't it be better to sell it to schools. Surely they'd hit the goal within a few months of going round trailing.
Not even an invention
This is so ridiculous
They MUST know that they copied the Chinese design
Glad they didn’t get any investment
Piers is the male version on Jenny!
This product is so mediocre
Kelly Hoppen's nose must have its own postcode
Her nose is out...
Does criticising someone's appearance make you feel better about your own?
