- As you all know Half Pint came away from Rebel Salute 2016 with one of, if not the biggest victory. A victory that was totally unexpected as Pint was not among top tear headliners and therefore had very little anticipation yet obliterated the roots fest.
Appearing post daybreak Pint dropped 11 originals back to back; every single one garnering explosive forwards devastating the closing hours of the 23 year old Salute.
Half Pint is absolutely correct in noting that the youth, particularly those who work in the Reggae/Dancehall space, need to educate themselves about the history of the music they claim to represent. To that end, kudos to Onstage for consistently inviting the "elders" on the show and for giving them the respect that they deserve.
Superb Interview you are so right and yes big up to Onstage. Loving the interviews with the veterans.

Knew the man was powerful, but this performance was magical. One that gives a certain chill. Mind you, Beres did an awesome set...top notch. One that could have easily taken the show, but for the intervention of Half Pint. Could not have come at a better time for an humble man. Reggaedom, the masses are hungry for good music.
The fact is that every Half Pint tune is a killer. If you listen to music you know this. These are all well-established BIG TUNES, every one. I saw him in Montreal with a very young California band who completely understood his sound.

Yeah some then young people don't know how big the song greetings was on the charts, so many copies of that song sold worldwide, Half Pint sing it in Europe , Africa , or in Japan, the crowd knows every word

Half Pint ALWAYS sings his heart out and its very touching...he never does no kinda acting like the younger generation who just a jump shout around. What kinda reggae is that supposed to be?
