The HKS RS2 is the reason I had to get an S15 over a Chaser. So so so happy to see it restored and looking as good as ever. Also the Blitz R34 is almost as iconic. Almost..
Watching Martin go at it with baggys was awesome! He’s so aggressive with the way he drives and that 32 is by far the best looking drift car I’ve seen sits right and doesn’t flap about a lot when he’s throwing it about like some do.👍🏼👍🏼
The Team Orange demo WRX they used for D1GP UK were built locally under supervision from Koyama-san of JUN Auto... Most of these demo cars are sold to Italy. The only D1GP Japan champion WRX is now owned by Federico Sceriffo (converted to LHD).
@@mobilespeed thats awesome, how do you know all that?.. Pretty sure the old driftworks s15 is living out that way now can't remember if it was Spain or Italy it went to
This wasn't the HKS livery I know and love.. I loved the one from Driftworks 2-3 videos with the black, chrome and white tears that I spent weeks downloading on dial-up internet. The ducts coming off the dash vents were the coolest thing ever and the car still had most its street trim like the door cards. This was the car that reminds me of your S15 and I think the HKS silvia that was in this video represents the begining of the end of truly cool sports cars.
I'm honestly so annoyed I missed this. Thought with corona there may not be a great turn out/as big of a variety of cars so thought I'd pass this year. Looks like it was a pretty damn decent turnout despite spectator limits, hope you guys will be back at Brands at some point next year!
Ahh Nobuteru Taniguchi D1 car. is it one of his original drift cars? Apologies I wrote this before watching until the end. That’s awesome it is a real one. For those that don’t binge watch best motoring. Try it.
People will never understand how steep and fast that corner is, when I worked for BTC I was given a hot lap in the team seat car and I genuinely thought I was going to die, you fly down the straight and they just whip down the hill and what feels like flat out into the right, your stomach is still on the first right,,,,, I may have made a fool out of myself on that one!
Is that Mr Barnes I see there he used to run the Summer Wednesdays back in 2013/14. I remember him way back when he was a customs clearance agent..with a 600bhp R33 then came Sumo Power and the R34.
If that S15 isn't burnt into one's eyeballs with its strobes and three-spoke wheels I don't know what is. Would've loved to see a bit more in-depth footage of that and the ER34! Your 964 only gets better with each vid, how are the new brakes holding up?
hey, do you guys know the model of the steering boss on the s15? min 4:03 before he puts the steering wheel, not the black adapter, the other piece(have been trying to find the model but i can't sadly) cheers
I can't remember the brand unfortunately. I had one on my 964 Turbo at one point. They are pretty dreadful. The ball lock style NRG / Driftworks etc quick releases are massively better and safer.
So much Nostalgia with the HKS S15 and Blitz R34. Race cars nowadays just don't have cool livery vibes anymore.
👍
Some of the D1GP Japan cars still do to an extent
if anyone does that today, everyone will just go “ricer” this, “ruined jdm icon” that, “everyone hates your taste”, blah blah blah.
Did chuckle at the sneaking out the house like a teenager sneaking in 😂
The fear of waking a child is a new level of fear for me 😄

3:17 eyyy I see me in the background in my Nori Yaro hoodie! Haha. Was a great event, awesome to see the Porsche up close.
yeet
I agree the HKS silvis a work of art. I have my competition rc drift car in the hks livery and have a 1:32 model as well.
🕶
Phil if you were my neighbour you could wake me up every morning with the sound of that 964

There was the Blitz Supra also!!! What great cars we saw on this video!!!!
Paddock hill never looks steep on video but there it's crazy, great video yet again!
It's like a roller coaster at that speed on the brakes.
" What more could be bettah"? Indeed, Phil. Indeed. Many thanks. Cheers, mate.
👍
That Blitz R34 sedan and HKS S15 were some of my favorites growing up with D1. So gorgeous. That and the Team Orange Subaru and the Top Secret S15.
🤘
That team orange subaru blew my mind when I first found out about drifying, that along with old nispro rb powerd subaru drift car

👍 It's such a cool car.
I genuinely do not think the DW r32 could look any better. Literally perfect 👌👌👌
Thanks man. We've spent many years getting the balance of competitive & 'cool looking' right.
@@driftworks you have absolutely nailed it, that is for sure 😁
If it had more doors
This S15 and the Mona Lisa S15 are the most unique S15 ever made.
This was cool to watch. This was my first car event and now I just wanna learn more about drifting its so cool
This car is just iconic, I think even none drift fans would recognise it from one place or another
Will watch tonight with Pizza after sorting out a chap's TT.

Was so cool too see all these cars in person!

I presume that's the RS1. That was much more of a street car.
BAHAHA, I do the same at my house...winter is the worst for my neighbors hahaha
🤘
First saw these cars on Gran Turismo
Most people did 👍
I loved drifting that Nomura ER34 at Monaco back on GT4 those were the good ole days.
The old Gran Turismo games had an unbeatable car list, for sure
Bon back in a drift car 👌🏻
I remember seeing bon bon in punchestown in that jzx, that was a cool ass car! 🤙🏻
Sure was. It died in a field in Ireland unfortunately.

Legendary cars, and I still love the SA3s
They are very cool, in a gross way 🤓

Can you do a video about how you got started in drifting? Most people would never know you competed
I've had a similar video in mind for a while. It just requires quite a lot of time to gather the pictures and videos to support it.
@@driftworks I would also love to see you do that video 👌 so chop chop get cracking 👌😁

Nice to see George Dawes back at it again, looking a bit hairier than last time
😂
Bon Bon flexin on them ebay wheels again is he
We're safe, it's a genuine Nardi.
Damn Mittos getting burned left right and centre!
I've got that hks s15 as a model still in the box
🤘
julian needs to stop saying that er34 was the blitz d1 car.....
blitz diddnt use an r34 with a sunroof in d1
Pretty sure it's a replica of Nomura Ken car cuz his car is original comp car is still being driven by his son in d1lights if I'm not wrong
Nomuken did built a replica of his car with the help from BLITZ. I think it's for the D1 Street Legal promotion...
It was build for the Street Legal D1 competition in Japan by Blitz for Nomuken.
@@jaccojeroen street legal car did not have a sunroof either

Not yet. It's still on gate pressure. I still have a lot to do before it goes for mapping.
@@driftworks enjoying the porsche build. Look forward to some more updates
what's the name of the original bodykit for the Genki silvia?
It's the same as my two S15s - T&E Vertex Ridge
👍🏻
Are those real D1 Blitz R34 and HKS s15 real or it's only a replica?
The S15 is the genuine HKS RS2 S15.
I dont know, to me that driftwork skyline looks better...Maybe would bee some big carbon rear wing...
👍
I think low drag wing would be cool like on Dai Yoshihara's old Formula Drift S13
@@StellarGale that car was nuts, it all went down hill when he got rid of that chassis and the visor and spiked hair combo 🤔🤣
He didn't Bonrage the steering wheel to death then?
He did not. It's a genuine Nardi 🤓
Subliminal messaging ? I noticed Phil face was covered by a driftwood nardi for like half a second near the start
Because I said 'Bon behind the seat' not 'Bon behind the wheel'
@@driftworks nice one Phil.
Ever going to do series on the impala or the shop truck ?
There isn't enough content for a series, they are both pretty much done.
Why no love for the Uras R34? Great video anyway though
