Osa is a solid pass rush DT. Hopefully Mazi can grow into a lane blocking run stuffer.

Osa a beast... and I think the issues on the interior was more coaching scheme issues and fit. We was light the middle and had guys playing out of position... I think we going see their true talent this season

What really impressed me about Guyton is his work ethic. He didn't waste anytime after getting drafted. He hooked up with Duke M, started working on his game right after the draft. He seemed motivated and a has a willingness to learn and be coached
Got to say shout-out to DUKE M, you are the Oline wizzard !!!

You’re not mentioning that Guyton had to train against Parsons and Lawrence all summer long… I know miles Garrett and a real game is completely different but. He’s got some experience already. I’m sure he got some tips from the boys. 😂

    • @jacap1sr
      @jacap1sr 2 місяці тому +6

Without a doubt. DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons schooling you after every single play. Just read that last sentence again. Guyton probably learned more than anybody in the entire draft class.
Are there going to be some bumps along the way? Of course, but I'm not worried about him for real. I expect his learning curve to be about as quick as Tyler Smith's was 2 years ago.

Strength vs Strength Guyton can hold against Garrett, what Garrett will have over him is his swim move and his overall experience. This will actually be good for Guyton. Sometimes the best development happens when a player is thrown directly into the fire, Guyton will do well.

I seen start & big potential in Tyler soon as he was drafted. I called him a baby Tyrone Smith & some guy got on me saying he was trash he wasn't going to start he was a bad pick. But I told him keep watching he will see. Lol I know talent when I see it.

Zeke Elliott was brought back to help this young line. His blocking is second to none and if it seems Guyton can handle his own then that’s when Rico or Cooks comes in and starts to hit with those swing passes out the backfield and screens.

Doesn't Guyton supposedly have problems with hand positioning. I think the line will be pretty good though or at least solid, their problem is consistency and filling the void if one of them gets hurt!! But hey let's get it, so ready for the season. Keep up the good work!

Wasn’t always the case. 20 years ago, Parcells was awful at it: Al Johnson, Jacob Rogers and Stephen Petterman were busts. along with miserable picks like Bobby Carpenter, Marcus Spears and Tony Fasano. But he did hit on a fellow named Ware.

These 2 rookies and overshown is the only reason I'm watching this season. If we actually go deep this year it will 100% be because these 2 guys over performed and overshown fully recovered to his preseason form last year

During this draft I was very very excited when the cowboys drafted Guyton out of OU. That dude is a solid solid Olineman he’s gonna be a perfect replacement for Tyron smith. Dude rarely gives up any sacks what so ever. Also the run game should also improve with him blocking. Yes cowboys always Hit huge when it comes to drafting for the OLine.

We invest so much into the o line yet a above average rb like Pollard struggled finding holes, this o line better pay off and make the rb corps look real good this year cause if not what’s the point ?,we just been wasting picks for like 10 years with nothing to show for 🤦‍♂️ might as well go and make the big flashy picks on skill players cause our “great” o lines haven’t won us 💩 lately

Personally, I'm not worried about Guyton - or Cooper (yeah, that's my name, too! Last name, not first) - going against Garrett - AT ALL.
I'm pretty sure he'll take some "LUMPS", but I don't want my players going against the "WEAKER" / "LESSER" players in the NFL (or any sport, for that matter).
How is that going to benefit / help Guyton or the Cowboys?
Bring on the best the NFL has to offer.
As long as he doesn't look like Chaz Green against the Falcons a couple of years back (I "KNEW" as soon as the Cowboys drafted Green he was going to be a BUST. FOR STARTERS: He went at least 3 rounds earlier than he should've), he'll be alright.
I didn't understand WHY the Commanders spent FREE AGENT money on Biadez.
They could've drafted one of the CENTERS or OG's in this draft and saved themselves a lot of money, even though his contract isn't massive, by today's contracts.
Biadez wasn't a "BUM", but he got PUSHED BACK into Dak's way, way too many times for my taste.
Cooper "HALTS" DT's - IN THEIR TRACKS - like or similar to Frederick!
Bring on Garrett - and ANY and EVERY PASS-RUSHER - the NFL has to offer!
