Goldilocks and the Three Bears Song
Once upon a time there were three bears and there was a girl named Goldilocks. The bears went for a walk while their porridge cooled. Goldie saw their door and she knocked, knocked, knocked.
No one came to the door, she tried again, knock, knock, knock.
No one answered the door, she tried again, knock, knock, knock.
Nobody came to the door. She let herself in, because it wasn’t locked. Then to her surprise, she saw three bowls. The porridge was poured near each Bear’s seat. She really wanted milk and cinnamon rolls but she picked up the spoon and started to eat.
When she tried the great big Papa Bear’s, that porridge was way too hot. And when she tried the middle-sized Mama Bear’s, that porridge was way too cold. Then she tried the little-itty Baby Bear’s. That porridge was just right, so she ate and she ate it all up.
She looked around the house and saw three chairs, somewhere to sit for Goldilocks. She didn’t know the chairs belonged to bears. She sat upon them all and rocked and rocked. When she tried the great big Papa Bear’s, that chair was way too hard. And when she tried the middle-sized Mama Bear’s, that chair was way too soft.
Then she tried the little-itty Baby Bear’s. That chair was just right, so she rocked and rocked and broke it all to pieces. Then she went upstairs to rest her head after all the porridge and rocking fun.
That’s where she saw three bear sized beds. She laid on them all and tried each one. When she tried the great big Papa Bear’s, that bed was way too high. And when she tried the middle-sized Mama Bear’s, that bed was way too low. Then she tried the little-itty Baby Bear’s. That bed was just right, and there she stayed and fell asleep, fast asleep. Just about that time the bears came home, just about in time for something strange. When they knew they might not be alone they looked around to see what might have changed.
Somebody’s been eating my porridge. Somebody’s been eating my porridge too. Somebody’s been eating my porridge and guess what? WHAT? They ate it all up! Somebody’s been rocking in my chair. Somebody’s been rocking in my chair too. Somebody’s been rocking in my chair and guess what? WHAT? They broke it all up!
Somebody’s been sleeping in my bed. Somebody’s been sleeping in my bed too. Somebody’s been sleeping in my bed and guess what? WHAT? There she is! AHHH! Goldilocks sprang out of bed and ran from the house real fast. And when she got in her Mama asked where she’d been. And Goldie said, “Mama, please don’t ask!”
