The ending how hes thier for that person then hes all by himself to me is the strongest message i get in the idea that you not only affect the people arround you who love and care for you while your alive but the hole left in thier hearts affect them for the rest of their life
His father struggled with an alcohol addiction and he passed away from cancer as referred to in Witt's song "Last Letter", he refers to his father's addiction quite often, and the effect it had on himself and his father.
For your question, Witt’s father has gone through addiction and then got a cancer. That’s why he writes so emotionally on this one. And like on “Kindest Regards” he says “Y’all tell me to drink, here’s what I think, I think you look stupid” because he knows what comes after having fun with alcohol
You have a good well rounded perspective on many things but especially this subject.. . Coming from sone who knows. My doctors didnt tell me anything. 2 years of strong opiates and they cut me off cold turkey. For a 17 yr old... it was alot. I appreciate what you do with these break downs brotha.
On Saturday, December 14, 2019, my nephew Kalvin Sanchez (23 years old) was brutally attacked while attending a music festival (Rolling Loud L.A.). He was taken to a local hospital were he fought for his life and was in critical condition and unresponsive throughout a course of four days. His family was unaware of his whereabouts for two days, as he battled for his life all alone. Kalvin's head injuries were so severe, doctors removed part of his skull to alleviate brain swelling and internal bleeding. On Wednesday, December 18, 2019, after many complications, Kalvin took his last breath. The reason for this cowardly attack is still under investigation. Kalvin DID NOT deserve this senseless act of violence. Kalvin was such a loving, kind, caring, humble, and trustworthy person. Throughout his life, he was always such a sweet kid who was always very respectful to his mother, as well as others, and was always there for his younger siblings. He was a loving, devoted father, and would do anything to see his family happy. Kalvin had big dreams and was working hard to accomplish them in the clothing scene. He was looking forward to establishing and expanding his LA based clothing brand in the upcoming new year. Kalvin is survived by his 3 year old daughter, his 2 month old son, and his girlfriend of many years. Our family will never be the same without him. He will be deeply missed! On behalf of Kalvin’s mother, his children, and the family, I created this account in an effort to help cover funeral services and other expenses that arise from these devastating circumstances. Please keep our family in your Prayers. Anything you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated. Our family is asking you to please share this link to help his children and the family he left behind. Thank you for all your support and may God Bless you.
Witt’s dad was an alcoholic before eventually getting sober. Unfortunately his dad passed away from cancer soon after. Witt talks about it in his song Last Letter. He was the kid in the music video growing up watching his dads struggle with alcohol and pills
Shxdow I never said they were the best, I said they were some of his best lol and remember this is only my personal opinion you don’t have to feel the same way, just sayin
The last song you did of his was from his Dad's cancer's POV. I believe this is from his dad's POV. If you remember, his dad drank and smoked and cancer was thankful. This is from his dad view of why he drank and smoked etc...
Rini666 it is from his dads view, I can’t remember where but he mentions how gin was his dads drink of choice, that’s why the songs title is spelt that way, it’s also a reference to his dad being addicted to pills, “Oxy(oxycodone) Gin(the liquor)”
Yeah his dad struggled with alcohol after he broke up with his wife. Witt talks a bit about this too is his Last letter song that you have already seen i think.
great job, ernest. what video of NF's had almost identical setting with man and woman in their house, only NF's was played in reverse from the tragic ending to the hopeful beginning?
@@TheThirdErnest it was a good one, too. i actually haven't watched any NF videos since you started reacting to his stuff without watching your reaction first. : 0 )
My favorite one has always been 'wonder if you wonder' but it was the first one I heard. Field of dreams is amazing as well. Don't have to react but definitely give a listen if you see this comment
Man that ending is so dope, the child in the video was witt (which I had a feeling of) and it ended with Him alone in the room, only indicating the father died from his addiction.
You should definitely do a review of the last song Nevers Road since you said you already heard the album your reactions are amazing also more Wittttttt #TEAMWITT
Dude the fact that he used hisself to represent the dudes son, blew my mind, like he was the kid in that toxic environment, but his mom pulled him, but in the end he somehow ended up back where he was pulled away from, like bro thats so deep and unexpected.
Mark (Witt) lost his dad due to liver cancer, because of his battle with alcoholism and opioid addiction, I think this was almost in the perspective of his father. He wrote a song called "Last Letter" which is about his view about losing his father (I think you reacted to it, if I'm not mistaken.) Then when you listen to "Reaper" that's from Cancer's perspective of taking up residence in a body that was pretty much made to sustain that disease. I find it impressive, yet needed how those songs depend on each other and convey and evoked necessary emotions. Fun fact, Witt said this was shot on film, so I thought that was pretty cool and thought it might be intriguing to the videography/cinematography side of you, since I know you catch those things.
Last letter was cancer, this was his dads view of his alcoholism and addiction. And you have to do Reaper from his last album, it’s in the actual view of cancer. Like cancer is talking to us and it’s hellllllla good
I love your channel man! I'm always watching your videos and would love for you to do an artist named EKOH, he really has some deep bars, an awesome flow, and big messages behind what he says 💯

I don't know who the artist is, but I was expecting country from his name alone. This hip-hop with an almost emo rockish hook was not what I anticipated. This is super fire bro. Thanks for the intro. As an addict myself I feel this shit deep.
@@TheThirdErnest I'll have to give his album a listen. Thanks again man. You're a quality reactor. You understand the history and know how to actually break stuff down. A+.

I just love how much he puts his heart into the song. It's so emotionally captivating.
True that and his flow is getting so much more natural
