Thank you for this video, Bhuti. Presently I'm taking part in a program whereby we're learning algorithms and problem solving, mind you I'm studying a qualification that doesn't offer any programming what I can tell you is that this thing is CHOWING. However, I'm very optimistic and I see ukuba this is a field where I belong to😄.
I am soo happy you love this field and please see the video to the end where i talk about holding on and try to ask questions that you even think are stupid that will open your way to logic thinking that is very much needed
@ulwandon Enkosi, I did hear that part and definitely it will change the way I see this whole journey.
Tech is good, I left a degree that's declared to be great to do a tech related course mainly because I was addicted to programming 😂
@@sandisosenzo😅😅 it will be a smooth journey if you do have patience and passion for solving those coding problems 😊
Goodluck to your journey may you find strength to go on🫡
what can you say a new grad can do to get these interns bro
Do atleast 3 projects and push them to github and then create a cv and a website to showcase what you have done and tech stack u familiar with
kudala ndibane ndibukela i videos about coding but andide ndiqale tu khawutsho ndoda do you need to be good kwi maths for coding if not yeyiphi platform onocebisa umntu afunde kuyo university is not an option coz i dont have matric
Have you checked AXL or WeThinkCode, theres other colleges or courses you can take but i will check them send you, even on Udemy you have to check there but know which part you want to be in like fullstack, frontend, or back or mobile
In my opinion, it depends on what u want to do. For web development, you don't really need to know it except for addition (+), subtraction(-), division (÷) and multiplication (x). For something like data science, AI related stuff, computer graphics, games etc. then maths is beneficial. Web development is much easier to get into compared to the others I mentioned. If u won't go to Uni or college, then your journey maybe a lil bit tough since you'll be competing with diploma and degree holders.
As mentioned, look into bootcamps like WeThinkCode, HyperionDev, Umuzi etc.
Imo, I'd say start with a very small course maybe a 1hr video on UA-cam just to see if coding/programming is for you cause if you're just doing it because it's popular or because of financial reasons then you might have a tough time at bootcamps😅, especially in ALX. There are platforms like Coursera to try out. One good platform I really love is TheOdinProject but it doesn't teach with videos and also it doesn't have a certificate of completion, it'll only train u to understand and build your portfolio.
I don't think there's one best formula to be good at this but one good way is to start. Some may say start with html and css before starting programming and I think that's also a good strategy. Hope this helps 👍
