Ummm, nobody copied nobody here. Just because some dances look similar doesn't mean it is copied. And by the way this dance here is beautiful. I love all traditional southeast asian dances!!!!
i love the music although i can't understand it,, and the dancers are so graceful.... i'm from the philippines and i actually amazed at your traditional dance..
i love this, i am adopted and my parents are cambodian ! (; & i remeber when i was about 3 , i always listened to this, i love it ! i knoe THE whole song (;
@KhmerSpirit and @TheKhmersavior when you both are done fighting and if you're in the LA area, lets all go to Cafe Lu and hang out. We can all talk about it over some coffee and nice scenery. Yes?
THIS SONG IS SO EASY TO SING TO IT THAT WHY IT IS MY FAVORITE SONG TO SING , I KNOW HOW TO SING ALL KIND OF KHMER SONG AND MUSIC. EVER SENT I WAS A LITTLE GIRL TO BUT NOW I AM OLDER TO, SING ALL KIND OF KHMER SONGS AND KHMER MUSIC TO.....😄😄
This dance is Neary Chea Chour (Ladies in Line Dance) The dance is talking about how the ladies dance to keep the culture alive. If you type in Neary Chea Chuor - Touch Sunnix (Eng)
I'm not Khmer, but a lot of my dear friends are so the Khmer language, music, and dances are no strangers to me. I love the Khmer culture, I think it's beautiful! If anyone knows the name of the song featured in this video... please tell me! =)
@KhmerSpirit ehm, excuse me... but how can you possibly judge all thai people from what some jerks comment here on youtube? i'm sorry if some thai jerk wrote something unintelligent, but hey... i've seen some of yours writing some real stupid things also. you should check what your own comment about thai people. im half thai (isaan) and swedish, i love watching your dances and i wish i can visit your country someday soon. peace!
Can you honestly prove that you're 100% Khmer? I used to hate and think the way that you do, nothing good comes out of it. Stop attacking someone that does not want to fight. Put your education to good use for the sake of the next 7 generations. Good luck to you my dear! I will pray for your health, education, and peace.
I hate to disappoint you kadeksuparta; if the lady is really Khmer and she knows her cultural identity, she will not date/ marry someone outside her race-- I know you would say that's racist, but it's not, it's a cultural identity of a REAL KHMER person. It's an American thing to call it racist; to a Khmer person, that's just a part of Khmer pride and one's identity.
Ever heard of Laos and Thailand used to be part of Khmer Empire? It's like Pakistan used to be part of India? Once you're Khmer you'll always be Khmer. Just like the Viets will always be Chinese no matter what.
Chawee wad who is Narodom 's Thai wife led a group of traditional Thai lakorn to the Khmer people. Do you know Phankuli who is a son of Narodom and Chawee wad ?
In 50 A.D. The first kingdom was a trade state formed from a marriage between an Indian merchant and Princess Soma of the native Khmer people who have lived there since 2000 BC.
@TheKhmersavior yes! i think i saw you there last saturday. I was thinking- now that looks like a wannabe Khmer Savior, lost and confused. Cool.... we eat and drink at the same places!
@KhmerSpirit and @TheKhmersavior oh by the way, I'm Cambodian and I go to Cafe Lu which is a Vietnamese's Cafe. Peace out already. You both are ruining this dance video for me. Coffee anyone? :)
@TheKhmersavior My mama said to keep the peace with thy neighbor one must smell like one thus i took it upon myself to do just that. I'm glad you smelt me and felt that right at home. :) peace out!
Well, I understand that some countries are inspired by each other. However, the Thai and Khmer situation is a bit different. If you're Thai I believe you've heard the history that Thai captured Khmer people from Cambodia to make them their slaves. To work for them and to teach them knowledge. And these Khmer people were from the royalty with high standard and education. They dance Apsara for their gods, pray to their guru before Bokator fight and other great things. etc. :)
@TheKhmersavior I think you are confused. You are shady, not dark! There's a dif my fnd. Lets check our skin out over some durian shake and pahok on top. Peace out!
The reason why Thailand keep changing its people id; - Tai became Siam because they did not want to be called as Tai refugees who were helped by Khmers from the Mongol killing. - Siam became Thai because they did not want to be called as Khmer province Siem Reap where Khmers crushed them like grass under heavy machine.
@ThaiforallThais You woke up on the wrong side of the bed??? What is wrong with Siam people like you? You had to surf Khmer channel and criticize ... shame on your for peeking when you had no business!!!!!
@khmersavior You are wrong ... we will always have Khmer traditional dance, certainly without the Vietnamese. It's in our blood to continue our heritage.
@khmertatas @KhmerSpirit @TheKhmersavior You are absolutely right tatas. You got us. We are Thai pretending to be Khmer. You guys are super duper smart. @TheKhmersavior- let's leave these children alone. You're gonna make KhmerSpirit cry. He's only defending our people the only way he knows how-the uneducated way! Ummm, Tatas? You might want to check your screen name. KhmerSpirit might want a piece of that after all these Spirit shattering comments.
@KhmerSpirit if that's the case i feel sorry for those people also. but it's better for us not to focus on the stupid people in here or the stupidity in here, we should not participate in it! i feel no hatred against your people, i admire you... and i know many other thai's that do...
Not really, are you saying that Thais stole Khmers who were dancers? And every culture everywhere has been influenced by another one way or the other, so I don´t really see the big deal.
Not inspired but steal. what Cambodian meant when they say the word "steal". let me give you an EXTREME example. Let's say, a poor country like Mexico, compare to the US, which is a well developed. One day Mexico decided to make a war with the US, and steal all the smart people such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs etc. to their country and generations later people would think the product belong to Mexico when they don't know the truth. So if i had to put it that way, i hope it now make sense.
I´m not a Khmer myself but I have difficulty to believe that the nation that build Angkor Wat would have to steal things. Takeing influence maybe but that´s not the same as stealing, all cultures do that, that´s one way they evolve.
Blame yourself for not having the guts to fight Hun Sen and the Vietnamese. Do something about it, by start being kind to your own people and supportive. Why don't you give a dollar to a homeless child living on the street instead of insulting your elder?
wow!!!!! khmer dance is much better than thai dace,I'm not khmer but I love khmer dance better than thai, the way thai dance i don't get it!! the way they move is suck!!!I give khmer dace 5stars the best ever!!!
Well that is different but still not unique. Not been a Thai myself I don´t know how much they tell about that particular part of their history but I think it is understandable if young people in Thailand don´t know about it, for example in my country Finland people generally want to teach their kids only the more "honorable" parts of Finnish history, like all about Winter War and nothing about Civil War.
@KhmerSpirit You are lucky I like to eat. I'm going back to eating my prahok and amok with KhmerSavior. At least he's a pleasant guy. I'll leave you to drown in your own nonsense!
@KhmerSpirit You should really get some help. Everyone is proud of their country and culture but you mister is nasty about it. Your nastiness towards other countries is only making Cambodians look bad. Take some time off from you tube and get some help.
Tradition / cultural dances like this always makes me happily. Thank you for sharing.
Ummm, nobody copied nobody here. Just because some dances look similar doesn't mean it is copied. And by the way this dance here is beautiful. I love all traditional southeast asian dances!!!!

Oh, and Cambodian don't see it as a big deal or anything. They just want the world to know the genuine history behind this beautiful art.
